Philly Cheesesteak
Elisa M.

Let me preface this with, if there are open seats available elsewhere, why am I being seated next to the bathroom or the kitchen? The hostess seemed taken a back by me telling her I didn't want to sit next to the kitchen or the bathroom and I'd wait for another table, however we didn't have to wait because there was plenty of seating available elsewhere. We got seated and pull your phones out cause QR codes is the way to see the menu. When I asked the waitress about an actual menu, she told me there were outdated, so it wasn't even an option. However they have these paper menus with daily specials on them - but I'm not here to make sense of things. The waitress came to take our order and I got a lunch special and told her I didn't want soup, however you would have thought she was getting a bonus the way she kept trying to push the soup on me. I finally had to look her in the face and say "I absolutely do not want soup, please tell me my other options" as the menu just said soup/salad. Now realistically I feel like you are coming for the atmosphere more than anything else. My cup sat at the edge waiting to be refilled as she never came back over to check on us. I had to flag her down to get request boxes and the check and I was a little upset that she took a plate before asking if we were finished. Yes, I knew where I was going before I walked in and knew the expectations however I didn't realize poor customer service was to be had. This is some peoples go to spot and that's cool, just not mine.

Mozzarella bites

This is a casual beer & grill that has cold beer & the girls showcase their assets. They have good mozzarella bites, salmon & a pretty good happy hour menu. $3 crispy taco, $8 mozzarella bites, & various drink specials. Lord of tvs, sports, & 2 large bar areas & seating sections. The waitresses are always nice & they keep the beer cold.

Scenic Views indeed!

Twin Peaks is located off 161 in South Grand Prairie, offering great food, drinks, and, of course, scenic views! I came through on a weekday during the lunch rush, and almost all the parking spots were full, but I managed to find one within the vicinity in the shopping area surrounding this fine location. As I walked into the restaurant, it was packed with guests, and even the bar was full, but there was one vacancy stool left, so I took a seat as soon as I got the chance. As I sat down, the bartender quickly came to me with a warm greeting and smile and took my drink order. They have various drinks on tap, ranging from imported beers as well as local. I went ahead and ordered a large Karbach IPA, and within seconds, the frosty mug filled with beer laid beneath my eyes. They advertise that they keep the beer at 29 degrees, and I definitely believe it due to the frostyness of the glass with the nice slush of beer inside which made it very easy and smooth to drink. I went ahead and ordered the lunch special of the turkey avocado smash sandwich with sweet potato fries. The restaurant offers great happy hour specials throughout the week during lunch as well as night. They even have drink specials throughout the week for certain beverages, such as their signature Twin Peaks beer they brew in house located in Irving, TX. Within a short time, my food came to me, and I must say it was looking scrumptious! It was beautifully plated and presented with the sandwich cut in half with a side of sweet potato fries and ketchup. The bread was perfectly toasted with layers of thinly sliced deli turkey and a slice of cheese with juicy red sweet tomato slices and crisp green lettuce. The sandwich was everything I imagined it would be, and maybe a tad bit better! The fries were well seasoned and tasted good, but they were on the limp side. Overall, I had an amazing experience dining here, and I'll definitely be back to catch up on some more happy hour specials and try something new from the food menu. The customer service was second to none, and all the ladies were very attentive and eager to provide top-notch service to their guest.

Sangria and a Twin Peaks IPA
Christina B.

My brother and I went out for a dinner after I got off work, which was rather late. So it was 10 o'clock by the time we got to Twin Peaks, which he really wanted to go to because he wanted a beer and they have a huge selection. I got a sangria which was delicious, and an iced tea and he had several beers. We shared the Thai ribs, which were so tasty delicious spicy amazing. And then he got the six naked wings with a dipping sauce and a garden salad and I got the avocado burger and fries. They forgot the avocado, but I did get it as soon as I had them pointed that out and it was very delicious. They were very quick to fix it. Our server was amazing and very helpful and she kept checking in on us all the time. It was course very crowded cause it's a Friday night and everybody was out. And the place was hopping. Not our first time at Twin Peaks and definitely not our last. Especially after seeing all the specials they had.

They will over charge for beers. You have one they charge for 2. Don't go there unless you pay round for round. Food is decent .

They have a variety of drinks and Pepsi products. We ended up with black cherry cola and a pineapple cream soda. No complaints had there. The friend pickles has a nice breading and good ranch. It is a thicker style ranch. Nobody had a complaint and everybody finished theirs. The Philly cheese steak did have a southwest flavor profile but it was still really good just a heads up. It's counter service but they are friendly. It is set up in an old fire station and has a cute aesthetic. Will eat again

We got the loaded Nashville fries, which were not hot like I expected but perfect. And the sauce on them was GOOD! We also both got cheeseburgers on the lunch menu with added bacon! Fire again! I got onion rings and they were definitely fresh and cooked on sight not frozen! Oh and my wife got fried zucchini I think. I didn't try it but she said it was good too. Total cost about $50 bucks. And that's PLENTY of food. And will be leftovers for dinner tonight. And and how could I forget while waiting on my food, oh let's come back to that. Let me mention that have REAL root beer! Nothing like a good root beer. Made me want to get a to go cup with no ice to put over some ice cream Okay now back to what I was about to say. But she did not disclose there will be a up charge... so not sure why she asked me options that weren't included in the combo I ordered. So I had that retinal charge on the check. They have auto gratuity on all checks. Food was good for fried food. My husband enjoyed his daiquiri but it was really sweet. The atmosphere was not what I expected pretty loud for such a small spot, but my husband enjoyed the music. So I would put this almost as a lounge category rather than a traditional sports bar. Overall I don't think the amount of food was appropriate for the price. Especially the fact that those mozzarella sticks were $10 and only included 4 thats $2.50 a piece. It just wasn't my vibe, but it wasn't bad overall

From the beginning, our waitress had a terrible attitude. When I asked if they had non-alcoholic beer, her response was basically, "It's a bar... no." I then asked if they had juice instead of soda, and again she told me, "It's a bar, we don't have juice." That made no sense to me because bars normally carry different juices for mixed drinks. It wasn't even necessarily that they didn't have what I wanted--it was the dismissive attitude every time I asked a simple question. Then I asked about wings. She told me they only sell them in 6-piece orders, and if I wanted more, I had to order another 6-piece. I asked if they offered something like 6, 10, or 15 wings where the price per wing gets a little cheaper as you order more. She said no because their cooks have to separate every order into six pieces. The four of us own a restaurant, and we had never heard that explanation before, but okay. I also ordered nachos and politely asked her to tell the cook not to go crazy with the cheese because I only wanted a little. She told me she couldn't tell him that because she didn't want me complaining if I barely got any cheese. I specifically told her, "That's fine. I don't want that much cheese. Just please tell him a little bit of cheese." Even a simple food request somehow turned into an argument. I placed the food order around the beginning of the 5th round of the fight. The ENTIRE fight ended, and I still didn't have my food. When I finally saw her and asked for an update, instead of simply checking on it or apologizing for the wait, she told me, "You're waiting just like 30 other people." Again, completely unnecessary attitude. Then came the bill. My two items were $12 each, so I was expecting $24 plus tax. Instead, the payment reader showed $38.16. She seemed hesitant to show me the screen, and when I finally saw the charges, I noticed an additional $6 charge listed under some nickname/abbreviation I didn't recognize. I asked what it was. She repeated the name instead of explaining it, so I told her I still didn't know what that meant. She finally said it was gratuity. So now we're at $30 before tax, but somehow the total was $38.16. I knew the remaining amount wasn't simply sales tax, and by that point I was so tired of the attitude and the entire experience that I gave her $40 and left. The food finally came and was mid at best, but honestly, the food wasn't even the biggest problem. The lack of customer service and the waitress's attitude ruined the entire experience. If you're automatically adding gratuity, the least a customer should receive is decent service and a clear explanation of every charge on the bill. There are way too many places in Dallas with better food, better service, and employees who don't act irritated because a customer asks a question. I only came because my business partners wanted to watch the fight here. I normally watch boxing at home, and after this experience, that's exactly what I'll go back to doing. last time at Sportsbook in Bishop Arts.
