    Feisty Brunette

Stopped by HopFusion Ale Works over the weekend for a beer. When you arrive, there's plenty of parking on the street but you may have to walk a little bit just with how busy it is around the brewery. When you walk in you're transported to a kind of a hipster and biking paradise paired with beer. To order walk to the counter and place your order. I ordered the feisty brunette, which is a blonde ale mixed with blackberries. If you're in the Fort Worth area and looking for a cool brewer, I highly recommend this place.

Beers, beers, lots of beers... If you like beer, HopFusion is for you. I am not a beer drinker (I went with some friends) and even I managed to enjoy at least 1 choice from my beer flight. It was the pickle beer . It actually comes with a big slice of pickle attached toe the glass. The environment seems like a cool and relaxed place to hang out with your friends. Light, fruity, dark, ale, stout, etc.. it's all at HopFusion Ale Works

HopFusion is always a good time! It's definitely among my favorite breweries in DFW. They have an insane amount of beer selection to choose from, so if you're a first-timer, I recommend grabbing a flight so you can try multiple options. I especially love their wheats (the Sunny is what I tried most recently) and any of their darker beers. They have plentiful indoor seating, which is perfect for those brutal Texas summers when you need a nice air conditioned spot to pass the time. Definitely worth a visit!

We don't get to this side of town often and had some friends recommend this ale house. We had a wonderful experience. During our visit there was bar service only and it became very congested with just two bartenders with the line stretched out the door. Plenty of choices on tap and cans. Enjoyed the options. This is some interesting history of the building with photos posted. We enjoyed our visit and would return.

    Happy Friday!

Love this place. I am not a beer drinker at all, but these fellas brew a couple that I will drink. Hell, I even SAVOR them. Fuzzy Slipper and Coco Anejo are dark, high ACV beers that have hints of chocolate and coffee (and coconut) and wow! Brewers are always friendly and helpful with selections. There's no food here, but you can have some delivered. There's games, sports in the tvs, a nice patio, and sometimes live music. Just s great place to hang with friends or make some new ones.

We have tried (and enjoyed) Hop Fusion beers at various restaurants and festivals. So when my husband and I planned a "stayaction" in Fort Worth, Hop Fusion Ale Works was on our "must do" list. We really enjoyed this brewery! It was just the right ambiance - lots of folks playing board games, watching sports on the giant TVs, or just hanging out. Dogs are welcome both inside and out, and there is plenty of space if your pup is a little shyer than others. Hop Fusion is the perfect place to try a flight. They have lots of unique flavors, and their flights are generous 5 oz pours. I even discovered a new favorite - El Gran Pepinillo - a lager infused with Best Maid pickles and chili arbol peppers! I will definitely be keeping my eye out for this tasty brew when I am out and about!

Cool local brewery in a great location. I was impressed with the beers I had. My favorite was the Feisty Redhead. So drinkable and smooth, yet right under 9%. I appreciated the owner / head brewer giving me a tour, talking to me about the industry, letting me sample a beer that they hadn't released yet and answering any and every question I had. I loved his passion for what he does. It shows in the beer and the setup they have. I always respect a brewer / brewery willing to try different things. I hope one day their distribution expands outside of Texas and gets to us in Florida.

Great micro brewery. Local tip... go across the street and order from Coco Shrimp and come over here to eat and enjoy one of endless flavors and styles of beer!

I thoroughly enjoyed their new Thorny bBlonde Prickly Pear ale. They have a huge projection TV along the entire back wall so this is a good place to catch a big game.

Ask the Community - HopFusion Ale Works

    Do they have heaters outside?

We do have them available, yes!

    Any food available?

Unless there's a food truck parked in front, no.

    Any gluten free options?

While the food truck may have gluten free options it's likely the bar does not. They have mostly beer. They do have some lemonade and kombucha. You'd have to ask if these are gluten free.

    Are dogs allowed inside?

Yes they are! Very dog friendly.

The restaurant itself has a real cool hip vibe, definitely up my alley. I ordered myself the beer cheese-steak (with fries) and a blue sapphire cocktail - these. were. AMAZING! The decor and theme are inspired by New Orleans/Creole/Cajun vibes, and it's beautifully put together. The layout of the location is a slight "L" shape, so seating can be a bit limited during busy times. It's a seat-yourself setup, and they provide QR codes at the tables for you to place your order and pay when you're ready. Now, onto the food and service. Unfortunately, the wait for both food and drinks were longer than expected, even as the rush began to die down. Our pretzel appetizer didn't arrive until near the end of our meal, and sadly, it was overcooked. Drinks The beer was great and a definite highlight of the experience. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Giant Pub Pretzel ($13.99): A 12.05 oz pretzel served with signature beer cheese and beer mustard. Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. Despite being called "Giant," the pretzel was thin, and was a bit overcooked. While we enjoyed the beer cheese, the beer mustard could have stayed in the kitchen. Loaded Broccoli ($8.99): Steamed broccoli seasoned with Cajun spices, topped with melted cheese and your choice of chicken, beef, or pulled pork. I chose chicken, which was delicious and well-seasoned. However, the cheese was a huge letdown, it had an odd, roux-like texture and flavor that nearly made the dish inedible. Entrée Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza ($12.99): Made with roasted garlic pesto, fresh mozzarella, thick-cut pickles, and a special Voo-Dill seasoning. While the concept was intriguing, the execution fell short. The pizza crust was undercooked, and the pickles seemed like they were added at the very end instead of being baked with the pizza. The garlic pesto was the highlight of this dish. Desserts -King Cake Slice ($3.XX): Clearly store-bought and not made in-house. It also took a while to reach our table, which was odd considering it's pre-packaged. The kitchen area even had the King Cake box visible. Beignets ($7.99): Over-fried and served with icing that was overly lemony, which overpowered the dish. Side Order Jalapeño Slaw ($2.99): The star of the meal! It had the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar, with a fresh kick from the jalapeños and Cajun spices. I wish I had ordered more! I think this place has a lot of potential. The concept is fantastic, but the kitchen needs improvement. I do plan to return and give it another try because the space and the idea are great. Hopefully, next time the food lives up to the vision!

Then as things were nearing completion, I remember seeing a couple of employees somewhere and asking about it, and they said that it would be in "phase two". Then sometime later, I remember a construction guy telling me, "there ain't no phase two, what you see with Texas Live is what you got, there isn't going to be any expansion". I could never find anything out. Then about six months or so, someone who works there told me it was being built in the corner, and would be open soon. I figured I'd believe it when I saw it, and now it's here. It's a nice space, with a separate entrance. Really went upscale more than you would see in most taprooms. I think only the Choctaw Lounge is nicer, and you can't hardly get into that place. The bar top is almost as long as the room, lots of stools. A good amount of pub type tables, and a larger community table, along with some low height chairs and tables. All pretty nice furniture. Couple of roll up doors open into the patio during nicer weather. My couple visits, I've seen several beers that I've never seen on tap anywhere else. Revolver is supposed to be doing several beers for this location only. Lot's of different beers, and this is probably the only place you'll see with this many of their beers on tap at any given time. I've done the brewery events in Granbury and they usually have maybe 6-8 beers on tap. I'm seeing 10-15 different beers on tap here. You can also get food in here, most of it items from Lockhart BBQ. But there are a couple things unique to the taproom, including the chili. The chili is pretty good, but the jalapeno cornbread is fantastic. Anyway, really nice, great place to hang out. Plenty of TV's and usually some decent music in the background. Prices are higher, which is expected because of the location, but I've paid about $7-$10 for different beers. Looking forward to more special beers. Too bad all the beer snobs hate Revolver, some good new stuff in here.
