My boyfriend and I went to Cowtown Brewing tonight and had a great time! The beer was great and we really enjoyed music bingo- although it was a little odd that they ended the game before it was over and there was no winner. Also note the fact that the food trucks leave at 8pm so after that no food is served. Overall, great service, vibe, and drinks!

Came back here recently as I was showing some friends around and the server mentioned that they no longer serve food, which was a bummer. We had a few beers and had to leave to go find some food

Casual spot where you seat yourself and have the option of scanning a QR code to order or you can order with a waiter. Housemade beers on tap is pretty cool. The 10:12 IPA Stout is good (kinda sweet). Bacon wrapped jalapeños were flavored well and smoky, HOWEVER, served lukewarm :|. The brisket queso was average. The cheese was like off brand Velveeta, but the brisket helped it out a lot. Elotes was definitely a miss. Pretty bland and, again, served lukewarm. Chopped brisket sandwich was good albeit a bit on the salty side. Decent meal, but wouldn't come back tbh.

Great atmosphere, great beer, great food!!

We absolutely love Cowtown Brewing. First and foremost: Every. Single. Beer. they serve is excellent. I'm always so pleased to go in and try something new and I've never been disappointed. The staff there is amazing too. They're incredibly attentive and friendly and want to make sure you're having a great time. We've been on a slow night before and I've seen the staff playing with the children making sure that they're entertained too. So cool. They're always coming out with new beers too so there's always something new to try. You must try their food too! They have very good BBQ out back!! I've tried a few of their items before (brisket, pork, wings, burger etc) and I've honestly loved all of it. The location is open air which makes for an awesome atmosphere, but they can close the doors as well to keep out the Texas heat too. I can't wait to go back - you should go now.

We have had this place on our list for awhile now and we finally found time to go and we are kicking ourselves for not getting here quicker. The place has two different seating areas. One inside with hightop wood tables and chairs and one with picnic tables outside. There are a couple of tv's that are visible from all seats. I honestly can;t remember if music was playing. I don't think so. We were directed to sit were ever we wanted so we grabbed the last table by the window. We ordered two of the Locust ciders. One was Blueberry and one was Watermelon and they sweet beer went really well with the Bologna sandwich with tater tots and the chopped brisket sandwich with coleslaw. I didn't not like to coleslaw. It lacked a distinct flavor. I would order something different next time. We ordered 3 beers each and our waitress apparenty ended her shift and then sat at the table beside us. We had to flag down another waiter to get additional beers. The second person an older lady was nice and took a couple minutes to talk to us which I appreciated. When it was time to pay the waiter who brought the machine scanned to the 25% tip which I did not appreciate. I know tipping is a big controversy right now but service was slow and I would have left 20%.

We came here after a long day at burgers lake. Service was quick , friendly but almost tooooo friendly , a little pushy in offering more drinks although the beer was good and the brisket was legit , no complaints with the beer I had the fruited sour

After a long day of cold calls of oil and gas operators on the F/W area, I saw this place and had to stop in. I got a 4 beer sampler. Beer was great. I'm not an IPA person and I let the bartender set me up. They we all great. But, the most flavorful one was a whiskey barrel aged imperial stout called Nick's Cold Black Heart. Oh it was amazing. Just a smell and you pick up the whisky immediately. And the taste, off the chart. Now it has a high BVA of 11.4%, so it's a sipper. If you are a whiskey guy or girl, this is one to try. Cowtown is pretty nice place. No food that I remember, but great beer. Great service. Certainly will go back next time I'm there.

    Beers, they have them.

Dropped in here on the way from the airport to the hotel and was craving some bbq, with beer bring the cherry on top. To my dismay they only serve the plated bbq meats on the weekends which was a big bummer. Overall place has pretty cool vibes, plenty of space inside and out. Service is fantastic and super friendly. Great big selection of beers on tap (I counted 16) and to go. None of them really blew me away (admitted beer snob) but all were solid offerings. Food wise I settled for the bacon wrapped jalapeños which were really good. Chopped brisket sandwich was very meh, not memorable and making me regret my decision. All things considered I'd come back again, but def when they were serving the good good.

Mother & I loved eating there when they had a kitchen. I miss her dearly, she passed away on 10MAY2023.

Yes, they have good beer. However, I no longer drink. Yes, they had good food but the kitchen is closed down. Now they sell only beer, some wine & sodas. I'll still support them by buying their 4 can packs. When pay day comes around, I'll give 4 can packs to fellow Veterans or friends from my neighborhood. My mother & I loved eating here when they had a kitchen. We loved the food.

Stopped in for a Sunday brunch snack around 10 AM. Pretty empty so that meant I had excellent service. I enjoyed my brisket nachos still, and my Schwarzbier even more.

Cowtown Brewery is such an awesome place! They have a wide variety of delicious beers that are served in unique, fun-shaped glassware! Cowtown offers a nice variety of choices on their food menu! Their service is exceptional - the staff is very knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly! Also, their outdoor patio is dog-friendly - just walk your pups through the main restaurant to get there!

The beer selection has something for every palette. From Light, Mexican and American Style Lagers to Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. The styles were heavily German influenced including rare styles such as a Doppelbock and German Red Ale. Everything is true to style, nothing "funky". These were solid, traditional beers. The barbecue was quite good, two of us shared a two meat platter of pork and brisket with coleslaw and German potato salad and a side order of two brisket tacos. The soft brisket tacos were so good we could have eaten them all day, they included chipotle mayo, pico de gallo, and cojita cheese. The barbecue was simple, well prepared and served with a side red barbecue sauce. Beer lovers should try this place.

Definitely allowed outside on patio. Probably inside is ok as well.

Not at the moment but we do have wine and soft drinks available.

The decor and theme are inspired by New Orleans/Creole/Cajun vibes, and it's beautifully put together. The layout of the location is a slight "L" shape, so seating can be a bit limited during busy times. It's a seat-yourself setup, and they provide QR codes at the tables for you to place your order and pay when you're ready. Now, onto the food and service. Unfortunately, the wait for both food and drinks were longer than expected, even as the rush began to die down. Our pretzel appetizer didn't arrive until near the end of our meal, and sadly, it was overcooked. Drinks The beer was great and a definite highlight of the experience. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Giant Pub Pretzel ($13.99): A 12.05 oz pretzel served with signature beer cheese and beer mustard. Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. Despite being called "Giant," the pretzel was thin, and was a bit overcooked. While we enjoyed the beer cheese, the beer mustard could have stayed in the kitchen. Loaded Broccoli ($8.99): Steamed broccoli seasoned with Cajun spices, topped with melted cheese and your choice of chicken, beef, or pulled pork. I chose chicken, which was delicious and well-seasoned. However, the cheese was a huge letdown, it had an odd, roux-like texture and flavor that nearly made the dish inedible. Entrée Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza ($12.99): Made with roasted garlic pesto, fresh mozzarella, thick-cut pickles, and a special Voo-Dill seasoning. While the concept was intriguing, the execution fell short. The pizza crust was undercooked, and the pickles seemed like they were added at the very end instead of being baked with the pizza. The garlic pesto was the highlight of this dish. Desserts -King Cake Slice ($3.XX): Clearly store-bought and not made in-house. It also took a while to reach our table, which was odd considering it's pre-packaged. The kitchen area even had the King Cake box visible. Beignets ($7.99): Over-fried and served with icing that was overly lemony, which overpowered the dish. Side Order Jalapeño Slaw ($2.99): The star of the meal! It had the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar, with a fresh kick from the jalapeños and Cajun spices. I wish I had ordered more! I think this place has a lot of potential. The concept is fantastic, but the kitchen needs improvement. I do plan to return and give it another try because the space and the idea are great. Hopefully, next time the food lives up to the vision!

Then as things were nearing completion, I remember seeing a couple of employees somewhere and asking about it, and they said that it would be in "phase two". Then sometime later, I remember a construction guy telling me, "there ain't no phase two, what you see with Texas Live is what you got, there isn't going to be any expansion". I could never find anything out. Then about six months or so, someone who works there told me it was being built in the corner, and would be open soon. I figured I'd believe it when I saw it, and now it's here. It's a nice space, with a separate entrance. Really went upscale more than you would see in most taprooms. I think only the Choctaw Lounge is nicer, and you can't hardly get into that place. The bar top is almost as long as the room, lots of stools. A good amount of pub type tables, and a larger community table, along with some low height chairs and tables. All pretty nice furniture. Couple of roll up doors open into the patio during nicer weather. My couple visits, I've seen several beers that I've never seen on tap anywhere else. Revolver is supposed to be doing several beers for this location only. Lot's of different beers, and this is probably the only place you'll see with this many of their beers on tap at any given time. I've done the brewery events in Granbury and they usually have maybe 6-8 beers on tap. I'm seeing 10-15 different beers on tap here. You can also get food in here, most of it items from Lockhart BBQ. But there are a couple things unique to the taproom, including the chili. The chili is pretty good, but the jalapeno cornbread is fantastic. Anyway, really nice, great place to hang out. Plenty of TV's and usually some decent music in the background. Prices are higher, which is expected because of the location, but I've paid about $7-$10 for different beers. Looking forward to more special beers. Too bad all the beer snobs hate Revolver, some good new stuff in here.
