This was such a delightful lunch spot! I didn't have any expectations going into this place but boy they make a good burger. I tried the western burger and the buns were toasty and burger was juicy! We also got the fried pickles and they were super flavorful but not as crispy as I wanted. There's plenty of seating inside and outside depending on what your vibe is. The service was great I would definitely go again!

Every time I visit Dallas I am sure to stop in at Twisted Root Burger. I love this place as the atmosphere and staff are always amazing. This time however the food was not up to what I expect. The burger was overdone and dry. The fried pickles I ordered were amazing though. This won't deter me from coming again though as I feel it was just an off night which can happen anywhere and 1 sub par visit doesn't stack up to dozens of amazing visits!!! I will be back again next time I am in Dallas

Dropped in early tonight. Place was clean and always fun. Not very crowded, so service was fast! I go for the shroom burger, cheese fries and the root beer. Solid! Seriously, it was great. Staff were fun and friendly as always.

Food was okay--I had the banh mi sandwich--but the experience was uncomfortable. Our server was loudly saying she didn't care about Chuck Norris' passing or his views while talking to other customers. Since the restaurant is clearly based around his image, it felt unprofessional and out of place. It definitely took away from the overall experience.

Twisted Root Burger is located in Historic Downtown Mansfield, TX, in The Backyard, serving great burgers, chicken tenders, shakes, and more! We came through on a weekday after the lunch rush, and it was fairly crowded but placed our order in seconds. The ordering concept is easy as to where you place your order with the cashier in the front, and they give you a name card and call it when the food is ready. Our name for the day was "Elizabeth Taylor," and our food was ready in minutes. There are plenty of tables and booths inside the restaurant, and they also have a full service bar for alcoholic beverages and also serve By the Horns draft beer. The interior was decorated nicely and had a lot of pictures and photos to look at. They even had the famous lamp leg that was featured on the move The Christmas Story. There are also barrels filled with different flavors of pickles to choose from to complement your meal. The options for pickles were dill, ranch, bread & butter, sweet & spicy, and atomic. We ended up getting the onion strings and chicken tenders with house made potato chips. The chicken tenders were nicely coated and cooked to perfection. They were seasoned well and very juicy, and I must say the dipping sauce paired very nicely with the tenders. The house made potato chips were deep-fried golden brown and tasted like the perfect chip while the onion strings were lightly battered and were very addicting as to where you found yourself constantly eating more and more. They also provided house condiments such as ketchup, a root beer BBQ sauce, Chipotle ketchup, and horseradish Dijon mustard. Overall, this fine establishment was great to get a quick bite and drinks with friends and family. They have an awesome happy hour on drinks with multiple TVs by the bar area. Prices were fair and average while the service was great, and the staff did an amazing job with customer service. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more items like the cheese fries and the fried green beans and carrots.

I've been to this restaurant a few times and it has always been pretty good. My husband and I sat at the bar to get full service and not have to get in line to order our food. We showed up at a weird time between lunch and dinner (linner?) so the place wasn't busy which was great. I really like the ambiance of this place, it has always been chill and the employees have always been nice to us. The bartender was friendly and attentive, she got our beers right away. I ordered the Big Tex burger and my husband got the Gosh Jam it burger, they were both very good! We decided to share an order of Treat-Yo-Self fries (no picture), my husband really liked them and ate most of them, I wasn't a fan, they're alright (next time I'll order regular fries). Will continue coming here to try other burgers!

Twisted Root Burger is always a fun place for me and the wife to have a chill date night. It's definitely one of the best burger places in Mansfield for sure. The employees are always super nice and always give such great service at this location. They were out on this particular night of my go to here the wagyu burger. That's ok I've been waiting to try more of time menu for awhile now. So this time I went with Gosh Jam it, which comes with Texas herbed goat cheese, tomato-bacon-onion jam, and a very yummy chipotle sauce. I ordered it medium rare and they nailed it. It's probably going to be my new go to when I visit this location. My wife got The Western l which comes with pepper jack, bacon, fried onion rings and jalapeños. I like mine a little better. Really like this location, the employees and really like that it's not going to break the bank. Super sure I will come back many times more in the future.

I kept eating until I hated myself it was that good

The twisted root burger is probably one of the most underrated burger joints. It's very good and they have us interesting selection of pickles and I like pickles so that's good. Better than the burgers are the shakes pictured below Dinner for three 100 coconuts

I try not to hold this against them as an Eagles fan. I will say that the patio is well-lit, trendy, and very inviting (nothing really cowboys related out there) Some tips: Try one of their signature cocktails. There are a lot of neat recipes, and they're worth trying. Also, if you want something to munch on, the wings are actually really good and are rather large in size Cheers!!

I came through on a weekday and parking was a breeze due to the ample parking provided in the parking lot. As I walk in I was greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. The place was fairly crowded with guest watching one of the many TVs provided throughout the restaurant . I decided to sit at the bar and place a order for a cold draft of Dallas Blonde. They have beers on tap along with a full bar of alcoholic beverages with bottle's and cans of beer. After browsing through the menu and seeing burgers, chicken, and appetizers I decided to go with the Carne asada fries. The fries came out and looked and smelt great! They were nicely garnished with cuts of Carne asada along with Pico and sour cream. The cheese was a Blanco that was perfectly melted and had a nice consistency. The star of the show was the waffle cut fries as to they were deep fried golden brown and were perfectly seasoned and salted. The flavor profile of the meat was great while all the flavors mingled together. The only downfall I would say was the portion they gave of the meat. If anything I felt they held out on the portion control and slightly garnished the fries with a dash of steak and toppings. Overall Big Fellas was a good place to get local drinks and food however the prices are steeper and the portions are smaller.I ended up having 2 large beers and the fries and after the tip and bill this establishment definitely left a dent in my wallet.

Decision made, 54th Street for dinner it is. Arriving at the restaurant, we were greeted by one of the hostesses and shown to our table. Ava, our bubbly server, greeted us and took our drink orders. It always takes us a while to decide since there is SO many delectable items on 54th Street's menu. My wife decided on the Chicken Avocado Grill, with a side of fries. I opted for a half rack of baby back ribs with beans and Cole slaw. Miss Reba, our diva dog at home, will be VERY happy when her daddy brings home bones. After a short wait, Ava came by to let up know out entrees were almost ready. We told her we were in no rush at all, which we weren't. All the sudden one of the kitchen expeditors delivered our entrees. Oh yummy, everything looked wonderful. She loves 54th Street's fries. So the French fries were the first to be tasted. I saw an ugly face and wondered what was wrong. I tasted one of the fries and made the same ugly face. The was WAY TOO much salt on the fries. They were inedible. Fortunately one of the managers was close by and I summoned him to our table. My wife explained what the issue was with the fries. Since the French fries were on a separate plate, the manager asked if he could taste them. Yep, ugly face, way over seasoned. He said he'd be right back. He took the plate back to the kitchen. Shortly, he arrived back at our table with a new plate of fries and a cup of 54th Street's special seasoning on the side. Everything solved and a happy wife. My wife's chicken sandwich were delicious as well as my baby back ribs and sides. Thank you Ava, the management, and the whole staff of 54th Street for a wonderful visit. We'll see all again soon.

We headed across the lake into Mansfield and stopped at Jakes Burgers and Beer. Jakes stays open until 11 p.m. and was easy to get to off Broad St. I lived off Skillman the last time I had a Jakes Burger and my husband has never had one. Our friendly waiter reassured me they hadn't changed. The menu certainly has though! What a vast array of creative ideas for burgers, sandwiches and even breakfast and brunch! It took me awhile to decide. Salads, platters, veggies. Great choices. There were so many appealing appetizers, but we decided on the Half and Half Hand-Breaded Jalapeño Bottle Caps & Hand-Breaded Pickle Chips, served with ranch. When they came, I can honestly say the grouping looked nothing like the photo. These were much smaller. But for the two of us, the portion was okay and it was delicious. The jalapeños were spicy and the pickles tangy. A terrific combo to get your palate fired up. My spouse had ordered the Kickin' Chicken Fried Bacon Burger and it arrived in all its glory. Two beef patties with hickory sauce and melted cheese, lettuce, red onion, chipotle mayo, topped with two slices of beautiful chicken fried bacon. He let me have a bite of the bacon. It's crazy good. My burger came, the Bacon Bleu Burger with Bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a creamy bleu cheese dressing with crumbles. I had ordered extra pickles on the side and I received four but I absolutely love them so I asked for four more right away. I think it's sacrilege to just put whole intact slices of onion on anything without separating the rings, so I had to "operate" before I could eat. I also asked for a plain bun. You have a choice between poppy seed or plain. This was a truly delicious burger. One of the best bleu cheese burgers I've ever had and very filling. I took half home! Service was excellent and the restaurant and restroom was very clean. We had a good experience and would return.

The ambience inside was a nice sports bar setting with multiple TVs playing sports and trivia. We went ahead and ordered the bottomless apps which is a choice between the chips and queso, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles and lastly onion rings. The rule is order 2 at a time and after you complete the 2 you can order more. We started off with the chips and queso and added chili for an additional amount along with the fried pickles. The food came out shortly and was looking great! The queso was very flavorful and had a good consistency with the cheese. The chips were your standard bag chips which had a nice crisp when dipping them inside the queso. The fried pickles came with ranch and another sauce which I wasn't too fond of but that's okay because they tasted great! After we completed our first round we went with the onion rings and cheese sticks. The cheese sticks were served with a warm marinara sauce and came in a 6 count. They had a nice cheese pull and paired well with our drinks. The fried onion rings were amazing with a nice crispy batter and sweet onions. They also came with ranch as well and I squirted some ketchup on it to complete the dish. Overall, I really enjoyed eating here with friends and trying the bottomless apps. The deal is too good to be true, and I definitely got the most bang for my buck dining here.
