I really enjoy this burger shop. Great burgers and fresh cut fries and always great service.

Very very very average. Maybe even a little below average. The location is pretty old and honestly looks a little run down. I still wanted to try it because it has pretty good reviews. I got the grilled chicken sandwich (maybe that was my mistake and I should have gotten a burger) and it was very disappointing. The sandwich was just a very plain and basic grilled chicken sandwich with American cheese (honestly it tasted like Kraft sliced cheese). I asked for pepper jack cheese and they said they didn't have it. I got a side of the fried pickles which were the best part about the meal but it was mostly just breading as the pickles were so thin you could barely taste them. The ranch tasted very tangy like store bought ranch. Just overall not impressed wouldn't go back BUT I was able to get through the meal so it wasn't like so awful I couldn't eat it. First time here and due to some of the negative reviews almost didn't go. We ordered our food to go and the kind gentleman who took our order made sure to bring it out in good time. The place does show signs of aging but tables and counters were clean. The burgers and fries were good. This place isn't a "craft" burger place where the servings are huge and overwhelming but the size was perfect for an afternoon meal. We will definitely be coming back. read more

What has happened. Honestly I think it has been sold to the Donut Shop owners next door. My assumption, that's all. Upon entering, filthy just jumps out at you. No tender loving care. Dirty walls. Dirty tables. Filthy, filthy, filthy restrooms. Food was ok. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich. Definitely different from the last time I had one here. Flavor was ok but quality just lacked. Fried onion rings were subpar. They are good sized but the breading was paper thin and just flaked completely off when handled. Not the worst I've ever had but still pretty bad. The fries were literally the best thing I had for lunch. Thank god nothing came back to haunt me later in the day. They only reason 2 stars instead of one is because the man taking the orders was as nice as could be. read more

While I enjoyed the good burger, the friendliness of who appears to be the owner, should be improved in a way that encourages repeat business. If my decision to return were based on the amiability of the owner, I would not return. Service time was acceptable and the food was warm when it was delivered to the table. The patty itself was not distributed evenly across the bun. It was as if the patty was made too thick. It only covered slightly over 1/2 of the bun. Apparently they cannot (or choose not to) cook meat medium-rare. This is unfortunate for a burger place as the meat would have contained additional flavor if cooked medium-rare. Even one of the Mexican restaurants in Waxahachie cooks burgers medium-rare and they do a great job. So, it is quite surprising that a place specializing in burgers does not offer a medium-rare burger. This is cooking limitation coupled with the attitude of the owner are the primary reasons it is not at the top of my list going forward. If you like more of a well done burger, then you may like their various burger options, but my preference is for a restaurant that offers a medium-rare burger. read more

I like how the place was 50s themed bc it showed me how popular burgers were gaining attention back then. Food is marginal. Service is iffy. But when they post a sign saying, 'discount when paying with cash,' you expect a discount. What happens is the menu prices are with the discount, you're up charged on the price when paying with a credit card. Poor way of execution. read more

ighly disappointing. First, this restaurant is goibg for a grimy, worn look, and half the restaurant got it right, but the other half is just old and dirty. The walls are stained and the tables were dirty - we cleaned our table out selves before sitting. I was a bit grossed out touching things. Second, the burgers were just okay. Nothing special. Not very seasoned or flavorful. And the fried pickles were disgusting. They were super salty - like inedible salty. We asked if they over salted them after frying them, but the cook in the back said no they're supposed to be that way. Yuck. I love fried Pickles and never found place that messed them up this bad. I have no idea how this place got such a high rating. It's only getting 2 stars because they did refund us the cost of the fried pickles. read more
