She cut me off mid sentence to condescendingly tell me that she just had one button to push on the register and that it wasn't her problem. When I tried to show her on my phone she cut me off again and assured me that she didn't give a damn. It's not a huge expense but at this point it's the principle. I want my $1.22 cents back and for Ivie to be severely reprimanded. I would also encourage everyone to pay attention to your receipt when dining at Branded Burger as it evidently is their company policy to train their employees to rip off their patrons. I want to emphasize how rude Ivie was, she has no business dealing with customers, not only did she cut me off, she didn't want to hear what I had to say and could have cared less about resolving the issue. Mine was, ok. I had the Summer Suitor which is an odd mix of bourbon and sparkling wine. I was a little weird to me - quite sour, not the best mix. For dinner I had their special - a steak frites. Plenty of shoestring fries. But, my steak was raw. I think I asked for it medium or medium rare. This was the first time in my life I had to ask for a steak to be reheated. I think they just left it back under the warming lamps for 5 minutes which helped little. For the prices and the stories we heard about where their meat comes from and the pride they take in their food, I wasn't expecting this. The sides were ok but not great. The truffle mac and cheese - all I can say is what I mainly tasted was the wax-coated paper container those bread crumbs came from. It's so odd. I was excited to truffle mac and cheese but it did not do it for me. Again, for the price, I've had better. The Brussel sprouts were ok but undercooked for my liking. The asian inspired sauce they come in is excellent. My wife had their ahi tuna special and raved about the romesco sauce on top, which we've never seen before on tuna but she liked it a lot. The owner told us about the people that owned the block and moved this building and other houses to this location. All I could think of is that must be why it's so expensive. Rent must be killer! I know this sounds like a negative review. It's just my honest experience. Don't know if we'll go back.

Disappointed by the Experience, Not the Food I've been a fan of this restaurant and have enjoyed the food on prior visits, but unfortunately, today's experience left a sour taste before I even got my order. I placed an order through DoorDash (since they don't have a direct online ordering system) and arrived just a few minutes early for pickup. Upon walking in, I was approached by a woman who I believe may be the owner. I told her I was picking up an order for "Mac, spelled M-A-K-K." Rather than clarify whether I was a customer or a delivery driver, she immediately assumed I was with DoorDash and walked off mid-conversation. When she returned, I attempted to show her my phone to clarify I was the actual customer, not a third-party driver. She acknowledged the order was still being prepared and quickly moved on to another customer. A few moments later, while I was quietly waiting--out of the way--she told me, "Sir, you can just have a seat right there," in a tone that felt dismissive and borderline patronizing. The entire exchange made me feel like I was being processed, not served. I wasn't rude, nor was I obstructing anything, yet I was addressed in a way that felt more like a burden than a welcomed guest. This isn't how you treat loyal, paying customers--especially not those who've visited before and enjoyed their experience. Sadly, as much as I like the food here, I don't know that I'll return. There's a way to hustle in a busy kitchen and still treat every customer--delivery driver or not--with dignity and clarity. That was missing yesterday . read more

You don't have to drive to Southlake Shoppinjg Center to Five Guys Burgers or to Mooyah's in Grapevine for a great burger. Midlothian is the destination. HideOut Burgers is the location. Take 663 to the Oasis shopping strip and you're there. The burgers are perfect. The hand cut fries couldn't be better. No more driving miles for the perfect burger it's in your backyard. Hideout has always been good food. A little on the slow side (but that's what you get for cook to order burgers that are always steaming and fresh). I always get the cheeseburger and pair it with the super unique and super DELICIOUS chicken fried French fries. Those are the best! The bacon burger was fantastic, they gave me so much food for a good price. I loved the theme of the shop and the workers were happy to be there. I'm surprised that there weren't more people there for how awesome the food was. Definitely recommending this place to others. read more
