Small but good food. Service can be good or bad. The female Cindy is very good waitress as some of the guys are slow and gets your order wrong. Eat there 1/2 times a month. read more

I had an incredible experience thanks to the kind and welcoming staff at JLP. I was in town for a conference, getting back late each night with very few food options still open. One evening, a cashier recommended JLP, so I gave it a try. When I arrived, the kitchen had just closed, and I was honestly disappointed. But the staff was so warm that I asked if there was any way I could get something small to eat. They spoke with the manager, Arturo, who kindly came out, listened to my situation, and said he would see what he could do. A short time later, he returned with a meal he had put together for me. His words, "You're not from here, and we want you to feel welcomed, "truly touched my heart. After a long day, that simple act of kindness meant everything. Thank you, Arturo and the entire JLP team, for your generosity and compassion. You made my day and reminded me that good people truly exist. I'm so grateful. read more

Nachos had a slight different twist that works and was great. Service was also very good.

Food was excellent! The service was awesome! The atmosphere was great Maddie is the shit!!!

We ate there 10 years ago and the food was awful. Today the food was okay. I prefer fresh made tortillas. And seasoned fajita meat. The chicken fajita meat was slightly seasoned and didn't have the vein in the chicken this time which was a plus. Our waiter was very kind. I would probably go back on a Monday again since they are one of the few restaurants open in this town on Monday read more

Hands down some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. Every single bite was packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and that authentic, comforting taste that keeps us coming back all the time. From the first bite to the last, it was chef's kiss. On top of that, the atmosphere is welcoming and the service is friendly and attentive, which just makes the whole experience even better. This is one of those places we always bring friends and family to. read more

Don't sleep on this place honey!! I was invited here by a sorority sister and initially was frustrated because of the drive but it was worth it. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The food is good and the vibe is energizing. You must go! If I lived closer it would be my new "Cheers." Not explaining that because if you know you know :0) I look forward to going back soon and taking more people with me. read more

I visited Jalapeño Lemon Pepper in Midlothian, Texas today for the first time. We recently moved here and have been on a search for our new favorite, go to spot. I'm pretty sure this will be it. The atmosphere was nice, the prices are in line with many other local Mexican food restaurants. However, the food quality and taste is far better than the other local Mexican food restaurants we have visited here. Everything tasted fresh and was full of flavor. read more

My family probably dines here more than any other spot in Midlothian. Just be careful around the margaritas, especially during happy hour, because they are delicious but potent. If you are trying to watch some sports and have a few drinks, this is a great place! read more

Our go to for Mexican food. Service is always great; food and drinks are consistently good!

I can not enough good things about JLP! I only get to come here when I visit my cousin, but needless to say since discovering JLP I've been visiting my cousin a lot more! What's not to love? The food is amazing, the environment is superb, and the margaritas are out of this world! Let's start with the hot sauce, and Black bean dip that you receive when you sit down with the chips. You almost want to stop there because it's so amazing! If you don't order another bowl of the bean dip before your dinner arrives, you're not a true Tex-Mex aficionado! If it is at all possible, you must sit on the back patio. You would never in 1 million years know it's there when you walk through the front door but you wind around the back and come on to the best little patio under the trees with excellent fans if it gets a little warm. Then, you order the Premium Margarita! This fresh made nectar of the gods, is the perfect midday refresher or celebratory drink at the end of a long week. It's light and tasty, but potent enough to get the job done! Two is my limit!! And the menu is extensive. Everything on it is amazing. I've had everything from fajita nachos to the jalapeño burger and have never ever been disappointed. I can't help but mentioning how wonderful the staff is! They're there when you need them and make excellent suggestions. So if you ever find yourself within 30 miles of Midlothian, Texas and need a bite to eat, or simply a cocktail, do not pass up JLP! It is an awesome destination! read more

First, we are LONG time Jalapeños customers. They serve the best margs in Midlothian and their blanco queso is our absolute favorite. We tried their new location last week and were pleasantly surprised that most things are the exact same, just the way we like it. Their new building is spacious and love the new aesthetics. We were able to sit on the patio and their newly added misters and open breezeway was perfect! One thing I was very disappointed in.... The FRIES! And yes I know this is silly because fries aren't necessarily a staple at a good Mexican food restaurant. But they could at least be HOT. Was served cold, soggy fries with my jalapeño wrap, and it really put a damper on the plate. Plus, they are totally different cut fries. Bring back the thin cut, HOT fries please. We still love you Jalapenos! See you next week! read more

We went to Jalepenos with a group of 11. They seated us within 30 mins. The waitress was great- really great. She knew the menu well, kept refilling our chips, brought drinks often and just did a superb job. The food was flavorful. The peach, and mango frozen margaritas were a hit too. They had a good kick on them. My son graduated from PreK and the waitstaff even brought him churros and applauded him. It was a great night. read more

Hi foodies, so this place takes a good swing at Mexican food and the service is decent. Maybe the only gripe would be that they use a little too much Tex-Mex spice for my liking, but the saving grace for this place is their Queso Blanco it's pretty darn delicious! Give it a shot, you just might like it! read more

Jalapenos Lemon Pepper is one of the best mexican food restaurants in the area and a local gem. We try to go on good weather days so that we can sit outdoor on their beautiful patio. The service is usually very good and quick, even when they are packed. read more

We come to this area for the dream races once a year and this is our go to Mexican food stop. The food is good with a wide selection. The service has always been sufficient. We sat outside this last time and they a had a DJ and lights that were flashing we asked the waitress if they could turn the music down, it's a restaurant not a night club. Will for sure return but will not be sitting outside read more

I'm so disappointed. My husband and I are regulars. We visit weekly and spend close to $100. We always order margaritas and we are generous tippers. Like 25 to 30% as both of us worked for tips back in the day. We usually go Friday for dinner before the rush. Our servers have our orders memorized and are always so friendly. The quality is consistent. We are understanding when they get busy. Today was disappointing. To be fair we went early. Close to 2:00, which is a wonky period between lunch and dinner. It's not easy to staff up especially during the holidays. We were seated immediately with chips & salsa brought quickly. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. We watched another party get seated, brought drinks and order taken. We didn't even have water yet. We waited close to 20 minutes as several servers walked by our table. It was not busy at all. It was perplexing. We ended up leaving. My husband mentioned why to the hostess on our way out. I don't know why this occurred, but I hope it was an one off. read more

I personally did not enjoy my Chimichanga which was full of cheese and very little meat and to top it off, it was not fried so did I have a Burrito?. No! One scoop of Mex-Tex rice, cold!. So was my wife's rice. I did not return my plate because the server lacked professionalism and proper language. Luis Rafael had a hard time understanding and relaying information. He got my daughter's order wrong and also lacked in proper server courtesy. I notice other servers with the same lack of professionalism. The young man at the front desk mumbled is words, when we stated table for three which was very frustrating. In leaving the young lady that took over the front desk was on her cell phone and did not acknowledged our departure, which should be a courtesy for the front desk. This place needs a lot of training to their staff. I will not visit this place again and for those that do I hope you write a review and be honest about your review. The ambience was not relaxing due to the server's being so serious and unfriendly. Good luck. read more

We had some friends recommend this place and they were not wrong! My family all had different quesadillas. We had the fajita beef, fajita chicken, ground beef quesadillas. Which came with sour cream and guacamole. DELICIOUS! And very filling. The restaurant is family owned and the manager was very friendly and took care of all our needs. I was not really impressed. The service was blah.. we had to ask for more chips and she seemed put out for having to get us some. The food was ok. I hade the Jalapeño platter and my husband had fajita quesadillas. He enjoyed his meal I was not impressed. The salsa was not spicy at all and the bean dip was ok. I think I was expecting more just the way I have heard so many people talk about how good it is. I may give it one more try and order something different and after my visit I heard you can actually ask for a hotter version of the salsa.. so we will see.... read more
