First time at Rick's. I really wanted a burger and liked the reviews I read. Had a bit of a time finding the tiny building on the left of the other buildings. You walk in the door and ordering is all the way to the back of the room. There are several picnic tables and a few small tables and chairs. We were greeted with smiles upon entering. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings and my friend ordered bacon maroon burger and sweet potato fries. The burgers are delicious, so much flavor!! This is definitely a lowkey spot that you probably wouldn't give a second look if you hadn't seen it on Yelp lol. I had the burger and fries, which was pretty good. Reminded me of a homemade burger. The lemon pepper fries were my fav. Tasted the Philly cheesesteak and it was just okay. I'd say give it a try, but don't make a special trip just for slightly above average food. read more

Came back to Ricks to try something new. We got the Bacon BBQ chicken quesadilla, which was really yummy and flavorful. It was super cheesy and came with a side of fries even though we still ordered the chili cheese fries that we enjoy so much. Still overall a great experience and the wait wasn't long for the food. Hanging with my mom and nephew. This is a cool little spot ! It's in a barn style building and it's off 1187. They have tons of menu options so it doesn't matter what you want to eat. I think this little stretch of FM1187 shows the true meaning of "don't judge a book by its cover" because little restaurants like this turn out to be some of the best hidden gems. I'm pretty sure this is a food truck pulled up to the back of a storage shed. But what is inside is some of the best burgers and quesadillas and phenomenal sandwiches that you're going to find anywhere in the area. If you love a good delicious burger or hotdog and a side of fries, this is the space for you. This place has legit burgers. So many choices and combinations. Decided to keep it fairly simple. Cheeseburger with jalapeños and Swiss. It was a big burger! Ventured out and had the lemon pepper fries. What a great surprise. Who would have thought lemon pepper fries would be so good?! Everything was fresh! So glad to have stopped in. It was lunch time and I was looking for a whataburger and I found this place.Im not mad about it.It's a real small basically long red shed that says Ricks on it.You go in and at the front is where the menu is. They actually have quite a few different options on the menu.From salads,sandwiches,hot dogs and burgers.Along with your fries and such.I just went with the burger,onion rings and a Dr Pepper.The total came up a little over 16 bucks so just a couple dollars more then whataburger.Lets start of with the burger.Its a half pound so it's plenty big enough.It was nice and hot off the grill and the bun was nice and soft.It was also toasted.It comes with everything on it with mayo and mustard which I got everything except for the mayo and I added Swiss cheese.Overall the burger was pretty solid except it could have used a little seasoning.Now the onion rings were just ok.Not to mention they didn't bring them out with my burger.They brought them out a few minutes after.They are definitely frozen and like I said just ok.And for 4 bucks I expected a few more then what they gave you.Oh i forgot to tell you they have no AC in this place.Just fans so it got a little warm.Would I come back to this place?Maybe when I'm back in the neighborhood.Maybe I'll try something different next time. read more

I can't tell you how many times i passed this place and missed it. My coworkers kept taking about Ricks and took me one day and it was so good. So far i have had the burger (they can make it Any way you want) and the honey mustard chicken sandwich. The fries are very good and the onion rings are on my must try list next. Service is so good from the time you walk in, order, get food brought to your table to the time you leave. The inside is small but plenty of space to stay in and eat and also has take out if you need to grab and go. Cooked fresh when you order. Don't sleep on this one! read more

For the longest I had it LA Burger, Burger Town and Jakes as my top 3 but I have Rick's number 1 now. This is next to Patties and Myrtles, both great burger places and this still manages to be the best one. What they are able to do with their meat is just incredible, literally the only burger I crave. It's crazy cause it's literally just a shack on kind of a backroad in Mansfield. My wife and I went here for lunch on Wednesday April 9th. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and my wife ordered a regular cheeseburger with Swiss cheese and an order of lemon pepper fries. The person taking the order was very friendly and helpful. My wife asked if they had a restroom she could use and we were told to go next door to the gas station which she did but when she got back she said the restroom was disgusting, not really a reflection on Rick's but part of the experience. As far as the food goes it was OK but not great, the meat had no real flavor and the fries were so salty we just could not eat them. This place has a huge menu and other things might be wonderful but the burgers pale in comparison to Myrtle's burgers which is on the same road. read more

Was looking for a good burger spot and came across this location! The bun on the burger was delicious the meat a little over cooked but still tasted good! They have tea and lemonade for 2.99 and only can cokes for $1.75 however my son went next door and got me a fountain Diet Coke! The fries were good however you have to pay extra and they give you a super small amount which was disappointing I mean a customer will remember not having enough fries to finish a burger! I can't imagine it would cost very much more to throw a few more fries on there! I recommend this place but beware! Also our order came out so quick the burger had to be already cooked!!
