We've ordered from Chapp's for years and have always had great food. The streak came to an end today. The quality control was a zero. I opened the burger container and it looked like someone threw a handful of terribly sliced onions and legit .. a STACK of dill pickles, some on the burger some just into the container. Also to charge an extra $4.95 for an order of onion rings that had 6 1/2 smallish rings is extortion. Do better. read more

Chapps is definitely a go to burger place! They serve grass fed Nolan Ryan beef . Your order is immediately cooked fresh and comes out between 5&15 minutes depending on how crowded they are at the time ! The sweet potato fries are really good and more crispy than the regular fries or Cajun fries! They also have dessert like pie and cake if you aren't full enough after that big ole burger lol ... My husband and I called an order in for a 1/2 lb burger, a Cajun chicken sandwich, and a large order of fries. The best part first! The burger was great. The chicken sandwich was NOT. First of all, the chicken sandwiches are more expensive, yet I got a piece of chicken that was no bigger than a chicken tender. But that wasn't the worst part. I literally couldn't chew it. One of our favorite places to get a quick burger and fries. My daughter loves this location because they let her add bacon and fried egg to her grilled cheese sandwich, she has a refined palette ! I reallly wanted to love this place but it wasn't my cup of tea. I ordered a build your own 1/4 burger and a side of onion rings via online order. It was ready in 15 minutes. I went inside and could appreciate the decor. It was clean minus a couple trays where someone had finished eating. I went right up to the counter and picked up my order without any issues. I tried the onion rings in the car. They were definitely fresh but bland. I personally can overlook this since I know some people are trying to watch their salt intake. I got home and tried the burger. The grilled onions were awesome but the burger itself had a weird smell. I tried to see past it but I couldn't. read more

I won't get burgers here. The chicken burger is really good but I'm a chicken person. Better than the Chick-fil-A across the way. Inside may not always have their AC working but that's ok I usually don't eat in anyways. Food is very tasty and portions are just right for lunch. I had a baby chapps with grilled onions and chili and my daughter had one but they got recorder wrong even though it showed correctly on screen. Prices were a bit more than usual. Their Cajun fries were not seasoned lie in the past. Just a very light dusting of seasoning so they were basically regular fries. Not sure if they were being hurried and it was a huge crowd there (about 4 or 5 customers) so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Although one of better places for a burger, I probably won't make it habit of going there. Just not what it used to be before the pandemic. Chapps used to be my favorite burger place growing up. I live in Dallas now and haven't been in years. While I was visiting my parents in Arlington I thought I'd get it a try again. Sorry to say I was very disappointed :( Not sure if they have new owners since my childhood but the burger was just very average. Not many grilled onions as before and not much flavor, and I took it to go and when I got home it was cold. Had to warm up it microwave as well as the fries. I was hoping it was going to be great as it once was when I was in high school (years ago) but I was very disappointed. Probably won't be back. read more

We have been eating at Chapps for about 30 + years. The burgers are ALWAYS hot and fresh and just about as good as a burger can get. Now this place is on the pricey side for a burger and they will nickel and dime you for any add on but it's still worth stopping by for a great burger from time to time. The service can be spotty but most if the time is pretty good. Try any of the burgers and I think you will be happy with them all. read more

Well, this place was a pleasant surprise.... I came in slightly after the lunch rush so I don't know how busy they are but while I was there a steady stream of customers came in - a young couple, older couple, ladies out shopping, a police officer, an a few couples and singles with kids. The staff had someone refilling the ketchup bottles and they brought my food to me without giving me a number. Busy and efficient staff. Lets get to the burger- it was great: hand formed, thick in spots, nice crispy almost burnt edges (just right),crispy but not overcooked bacon, fresh veggies-lettuce tomatoes onions and grilled onion. This was not a prefabbed patty on a bun. yummmm. The cajun fries were a mix of crispy and soft fries well seasoned with cajun seasoning. It was a dang good burger. read more
