First, let's get to the service. Whenever we go for breakfast and brunch, the place is extremely busy. Wait times have always been long. That's nothing negative as the food is fresh and delicious. Good food means greater demand and that cascades into longer wait times. People need to get accustomed to this fact of life and stop whining. The staff always try their best to get their job done. Additional staffing might be required but everyone's got a help wanted sign nowadays. Second, the food. Fresh ingredients and always tasty. Yes, some options are a bit granola Los Angeles hippie-ish but give it a try. You might like that crunchy granola pancake or quinoa bowl. Pancakes are always made perfectly. Food might take longer than IHOP but this isn't some mass market diner. Third, the atmosphere/overall structure of the interior. It's busy but always clean. Sound is lively and filled with voices from infants to adults; like a family brunch spot should sound like. Go there. Be patient. Eat. Eat some more. read more

It's a shame there isn't one of these in California. Visiting Texas my friend recommended this place. We had a 40 min wait on a Saturday mid morning. Everything was great! The ambiance, food & service. No complaints. I ordered the Bacado which was an omelette with crispy bacon, avocado and Jack cheese topped with more avocado and sour cream. The bacon was perfect. Not too hard and just the right amount of crisp. I also ordered the Tangerine Dream. It's seasonal unfortunately. It was DELICIOUS and refreshing. It was made with tangerine juice, pineapple juice, ginger, and cane sugar topped with coconut milk. We couldn't leave without ordering the million dollar bacon. I've heard that the service and food can be mediocre at First Watch but that wasn't the case for us. First off, the space is so cute and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The waitstaff was quick. We were seated immediately after arriving. Our waitress was equally as excellent. Our drinks came quickly; the coffee was hot and the mimosa was cold. The food was good, too. My avocado toast was missing some flavor. Yes, avocado isn't known for flavor but typically some sort of spices or seasoning is added on the toast. Nonetheless, it was very fresh. My husband's food was great. Overall, a cute restaurant with a good vibe and quality food. Give it a try for sure! read more

We first tried First Watch in Bentonville Arkansas. Loved it even though it was a little "bougie", as my kids say. We were delighted when we found several locations in North Texas. We tried the Mansfield location. The food was good although my husband's black beans were served cold. He asked for a replacement and they brought out a small cup and charged us for a side of beans. The waitress was slow and our food, beverages, etc were slow to come. I will try other First Watch locations but may not return to the Mansfield location, even though it's the closest to my house. Had brunch for the first time here with my husband this week. The service was great. Seated quickly and waitress took care of us and followed up with refills, orders, etc. The food was not great. Potatoes were undercooked, nothing was seasoned except for some parsley flakes. My husband's tacos were bland. Coffee was nice and strong though. read more

I've been to this location twice so far. The first visit was fine, nothing special, service was just a little slow (but that happens), food was good. 4 star visit. The second visit was below average. Our server only came to the table twice, once to take the order - and place a coffee pot on our table - second time to bring the check. Since half of my meal was cold, I wished she would have come by after the food was dropped off for me to tell her sooner. Such a great addition to Mansfield! First Watch is clean, open. All waitstaff and cook staff was masked, tables were distanced. Service was fast. The food was SO fresh and delicious. They have a really wide variety of brunch foods which I really appreciated. Multiple egg Benedict options, breakfast tacos, waffles, açaí bowls, hash options, multiple juices and adult beverage options! I had the trifecta and my husband had the Biscuits & Turkey Sausage Gravy. The potatoes are SO fresh compared to other breakfast restaurants. The waffle was perfectly made. When we just asked for a straw this young man used really excellent waiter service, saying "Have a blessed day!". We went to First Watch for the first time last weekend, and then we went back this morning, and now I'm sitting here trying to convince my boyfriend that we should go back tomorrow morning.. One thing we like about this place is that you can *actually* TASTE the quality of their ingredients, which is really rare. So far we've tried: Million dollar bacon 10/10 - a must try, super unique flavor Blueberry Muffin Top Griddle Cakes - 9/10 - super delicious, but very sweet/rich. You'll probably want to have something else as a side option to balance the sweetness Fresh seasoned potatoes - 10/10 - we are NOT potato people, so this is high praise coming from me. They season their potatoes really well, so every bite is flavorful and delicious. Blueberry Pancakes - 8/10 - good flavor, great blueberry to pancake ration. They are BIG (which they do tell you on the menu, which I appreciate!) so unless you can pack away a LOT of food, you'll probably want 1. Whole Grain Artisan Toast with All-Natural House Preserves - 10/10 - never have I gotten so excited to rate TOAST, but this toast was insanely good! Absolutely loved it! I didn't get it when we went today, and I wished I had.. excellent flavor and texture! Sweet Honey Pecan Salad - 9/10 - loved this salad, the did not skimp on the toppings and the dressing was excellent. They forgot to give me the ciabatta that was supposed to come with it, so that was a bummer, but I saw someone order a salad today and their ciabatta looked real good! Went to the restaurant today for my auntie s birthday. We waited an hour & half which was kinda ridiculous. The young woman at the door can't remember her name. I think it started with a L was very delightful and nice trying her best to get us in. One in we sat down and has one waitress helping up. Her name is Letty I believe. She messed up our orders, had the birthday girl waited almost waiting 25 mins to get her meal and she was the last to get served. When complained to the manager he said she was given 3 servers to help her but she refused. We believe it was because she wanted all the tips from the big party. She screwed our meals up and experience for herself own selfishness. The food was good for what we ate. I believe the food would of also been better if some of the orders would of been complete. On the fence, since we usually love First Watch. Kids asked for it, so we ordered it, Uber for first time with First Watch. Received burned, burnt, black in color and completely inedible million dollar bacon piece! Why, even scrape up the burned pieces to give us??? Very disappointed, couldn't enjoy the million dollar bacon we love. The waffle I received was super soggy, still had great flavor, just the texture was miserable. Look, we came here hoping for the best. Maybe our expectations were too high? We were seated immediately after arrival which was great. I will say their menu is quite plentiful and the selection seems good. My wife ordered the BLT Benedict with mixed greens and I ordered the Tri-fecta with bacon and waffle. During the wait time for our food to arrive my wife and I decided to split a Million Dollar Bloody Mary with Million Dollar Bacon. The waiter came back out and apologized, but they were out of the ingredients to make the Bloody Mary. He offered us other selections from the drink menu which we passed on. Well, right before our food arrived guess what showed up? A bacon-less Million Dollar BACON Bloody Mary. The food was not good. That's the easiest and most to-the-point assessment I can give. My wife's eggs Benedict had hollandaise sauce that taste like a someone squeezed a lemon in your mouth during every bite. She had a giant pile of mixed greens, however the dressing advertised wasn't anywhere to be found. Once they finally brought the dressing out, the greens were semi-edible. The Tri-fecta had a decent waffle with powdered sugar. The eggs were well presented and cooked as ordered. But the bacon? Oh dear god the bacon! You'll have to look at the pictures attached to the review, but the bacon tasted like something that had been microwaved for 30 minutes. It was horrendous and without a doubt the worst I have ever eaten in my 38 years on this planet. This stuff was drier and had more crunch than a tortilla chip. And it wasn't just my bacon, mind you. Remember my wife ordered the BLT Benedict and her bacon was just as bad if not worse. For the price, I'd suggest something else in Mansfield. Hearth Cafe is a top contender and will be my go-to unless something else pops up. Unfortunately this will be our first and last time to visit this restaurant. read more

This place was okay... The food was mainly just potatoes, sausage, toast and a side of egg. That was really all. The sausage wasn't good at all. The toast tasted stale. The side of egg was also kind of good. Personally, you can make all their meals that consist of just that (just in a different spot on the plate) at home. I came here with my mom and we got 2 different meals that sounded very different but as I said was the same. The service was very good.
