Order was quoted as ready by 6:10. Waited till 6:20 to give them time. No order. Counter person says they did not have the order in the system. Maybe it's at another location. That was not the case. Show them the email stating we're at the correct location. Still confusion. The counter person has enough sense to seek the manager. Manager says yes we received that order. It seems as though counter "help" gave the order to the wrong person. So, two birds with one stone, in a bad way. Manager takes over and remakes the order. Ready @ 6:45. She works at the Road to Six Flags location and was there at 4 on Monday when I came by. Very lovely girl and gave excellent customer service. Located near the Park's Mall but accessible from IH-20 frontage road. Was greeted by friendly staff; was excited to be ordering my 1st muffaletta! This JD is in a large mall with shared parking. The mall is frequently crowded, but u can usually get parking reasonably close to JD. The people who work here offered decent service and politely answered questions about how they do things. It is usually average to loud ambiance. The sandwiches, soups, and salad bar have fairly consistent quality at this location. However. the little muffins at the salad bar are not as good as they used to be. The current menu is posted on their website and is much easier to read than any yelpers photos. Watch for the "manager's specials" on the menu--those are the best deals. Those specials give u on average: 1/2 sandwich, cup of soup, and fruit or chips, but no drink. read more

Love Jason's deli and stop every time I bring my parents to Arlington for doctors appointments. The make fabulous sandwiches, great stuffed baked potatoes of every kind. Incredible build your own salad bar, great desserts, and soft serve ice cream. I had the Italian po boy sandwich and it was fantastic. All sandwiches come with ruffles chips. The customer service is usually 5 star. The food used to be. It was Jason's over Panera for me. Time to rethink it. Today we spent $50.00 for 2 salad bars, 2 sandwiches and 2 bowls of soup. I tried the lobster bisque. It tasted oddly plastic. I asked to replace it with the potato soup and it tasted odd like a mix of the chicken pot pie and sludge. It was thick and the flavor/spice profile was bland and lacking. I added cheese and bacon bits and then it turned into a tile paste. 2 bites and it was in the trash after I brought it home to rewarm it and punch up the flavor. I am sad. It is the time of year that you crave a great hot soup and sandwich or salad. My salad was good and the salad bar was immaculately clean. The team attended to it every 10 minutes so it was wiped up and the ingredients were super fresh even though the restaurant wasn't full. I guess I am on the hunt for a great soup spot now. I have been going to this Jason's Deli for over three years. It is clean and I like the friendly staff very much. However, I am crossing it off my list. When I started going there, their wild salmon/avocado sandwich with either fruit or vegetables was about $14.50. Every few months it went up a little--just pennies, really. I continued to frequent the restaurant about once a week. As the price approached $16, I visited less frequently Yesterday I visited the restaurant. My sandwich is now $18 freaking dollars. For that, I can get a whole salmon dinner with two vegetables and rolls at Cotton Patch with service at my table. On top of this, their rewards program is sneaky. They don't ask you at the register for your phone number. It's up to you to remember to give it OR ask for a receipt so you can enter it. I just tried to enter it from home and discovered you only have 48 hours to do so. Friendly service and good food only go so far. It had to be a good deal--especially for us seniors. read more

I was here about an hour after the guy that said the bathroom is the worst bathroom in 33 countries or whatever he said and that's not true. There was nothing wrong with the bathroom. There are brooms by the bathroom but I think that's to clean up what people drop at the salad bar. There was trash and food on the floor around the salad bar that was never picked up even though a lady with a cart was going around taking plates off tables and such. I had lunch alone today at Jason's following a doctor's appointment at the hospital next door. I sat in my booth and took a nice, long leisurely break from the holiday cleaning and cooking I had been doing for the last two days. This gave me the opportunity to observe the well-oiled machine that makes this location one of the best I've been to. Everything on the salad bar was so fresh and cold and crispy, and in the time it took me to eat my lunch, the salad bar attendant refilled, checked everything and wiped up any items that had fallen on the bar at least 4 times. Meanwhile, the people behind the hot counter were working in a true line fashion and had orders flying out. I love this location because every time I come here, I get exactly what I expect from Jason's. Good, fresh quality ingredients and attentive employees who are always super friendly. I have always enjoyed the unlimited salad bar. When I ordered it this time, I was told that it was one trip. If you're going to make it a one trip salad bar, you should change the plates. The ones you have are too small for a one trip bar. Salad bar items were at the bottom of each container or they were out. Employees were walking around not doing anything or laughing loudly behind the counter. All in all, very disappointing dinner. And what is the reason for the one trip as opposed to unlimited? My family has always enjoyed Jasons Deli. However, we had one bad experience here. After eating and we were about to leave, I saw the lady who cleans the tables come by and wipe down multiple tables with the same rag , using no spray or cleaner whatsoever. This location has the freshest, tastiest lettuce and sides I've ever had at any Jason's Deli! Always crisp and fresh. The staff is very friendly. You can tell they've worked together for a while. My wife and I were in the Arlington area around lunchtime trying to figure out somewhere to eat. We hadn't been to Jason's Deli in quite a while; we decided to head there for lunch since it was right around the corner. The South Arlington location "ROCKS" at lunch, it is a very popular lunch destination. It's great how the staff is so efficient getting everyone through the line. My wife and I both ordered the "Manager's Special", me 1/2 of a pastrami and Swiss cheese sandwich on rye and my wife 1/2 chicken salad sandwich on wheat. We both decided on fresh fruit as our side. Both of our sandwiches were major yummy. Even a half was almost too much to eat. We received our food very quickly. The best part was the free ice cream before we left. read more

Bathroom was worse than an outhouse... filthy toilets and had to use the bathroom soooo had no choice but to flush toilet 3 times... clean seat with toilet paper...most foul smell... amazing they keep mops, brooms outside main entrance to bathroom area but don't think they are being utilized. Food is great but if bathroom if filthy I'm now questioning other sanitary measures. Wow...is all I can say... Manager was rude and asked me for my receipt! I complied and she stated my party had taken a bigger salad plate. I responded with ...we were handed trays with bowls. We were not aware that the wrong one was given to us. I showed the receipt and she walked over to my table and switched bowl for salad bar. One trip! I thought I would update my review, since today's experience was nuts. I called in an order for my co-workers, I asked a simple question about soup and what was in it, took 2 minutes for her to come back on the phone and still was not sure what was in it, meanwhile she didn't put me on hold either. My sandwich was a waste of $8. The Club Royale, besides the fact they put tomatoes on which I asked not to and I hate the drippy juice tomatoes leave bread soggy, it grosses me out. The croissant was so hard it was just disappointing it was not fresh, and for that amount of money I was not left unsatisfied. Oh and even though my co-workers and I spent almost $50, and we asked for extra pickles, which are a staple for ANY sandwich they wanted to ask at the end who was paying for the pickles after I already separated four different orders. You can have you pickles, if you can't include a few extra, we don't want them! LOL Next time we come to Jason's Deli for take out, it'll have to be the Salad Bar because that's about the only thing I guess you can count on to be fresh and available. read more

WOW!! I was highly disappointed with my lunch and what makes it worst I was STARVING LIKE MARVIN!! I order my same sandwich pastrami with provolone cheese mustard on wheat. When I got my sandwich the meat was cold the cheese was not melted and it was on rye bread. So I sent it back, when I got it back, come to find out they have a new wheat bread which looks just like rye bread but taste like old stale cardboard. I didn't have time to send it back again so I just ate the sandwich but I know not to get the wheat bread EVER until they bring back the regular wheat bread. The lady at the other table over heard us talking and she said the same thing that the wheat bread is horrible!! I had to get a slice of strawberry cheese just to make me happy! read more

Beware of ordering online at Jason's Deli in South Arlington! I placed a large order online last night. The order totaled out at $72.90 which was paid by credit card. I knew the total would be adjusted since I added bacon to one item and sour cream to another. No big deal, I have had this happen with other similar online orders at other Restaurants and never had an issue. The receipt attached to the bag showed the final total at $74.50. When I sat down to balance my checkbook today the $74.50 had cleared but further up the transaction list I found that there were two more transactions for Jason's Deli. Instead of adjusting the total on the 1st authorization of $72.90, they ran another authorization for $1.07. Then someone decided that wasn't right and ran through a charge of $74.50 so now they have tied up an additional $73.97 of my money. Someone needs to train the staff that they can't just run numerous authorizations because that puts a 3 day or more hold (especially if it's a holiday weekend) on that person's money which could really screw up a person if that money is needed elsewhere. When I called and talked to the manager I was put on hold forever, twice! Then she tells me they only put through the funds once. When I ask why there were two other authorizations and then a third charge on a different authorization she tried to blame me for adding something to the order. Really lady?? Having something added wasn't the problem, the problem is they are not trained on credit card authorization and how to adjust it. There are procedures for this, funny every other online vendor knows how to deal with it! I wouldn't even care if they ran a second charge for sour cream and bacon but they apparently couldn't figure that out correctly since authorization 1 and 2 added up to $73.97 and the third was $74.50. The fact that she didn't want to take any action to make it right was the final straw. She kept repeating she was sorry but didn't offer any solution. She told me to call my bank and have the holds removed. I explained that it's a credit union that's not open on the weekend and won't remove a hold because I ask for it to be done. Merchants have to contact visa/mastercards authorization center to have a hold removed otherwise it's there until it falls off. If she had said she'd look into why it was so messed up or that they'd train the cashiers in how to handle this or anything but "I'm Sorry" it might of helped but she acted like she really didn't care that their poor training could be affecting their customers time and money. Needless to say I won't ever do an online or in-store order at Jason's Deli again! I'll deal with vendors that know what they are doing and have better food. read more

This place was phenomenal. I'm not a big sandwich guy, but I am now! I had the French Dip and a cup of shrimp gumbo while my wife the camella sandwhich. We were both impressed with the quality and taste. Service was great, staff was friendly, sandwiches were delicious. What more could you want? We will be back very soon. read more

This is a consensus from the to-go orders we placed as an office and how everyone's orders turned out. I was pleased that they remembered "no ice" for my sweet tea (it was going to be in the fridge a full day until I could get to it and didn't want it watered down). My order was correct, and I believe everyone else got their full orders. The people who got baked potatoes complained about how dry they were.. they were expecting a lot more butter.. but they had barely any at all. My muffuletta was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I wanted like a properly large sandwich, but it was just a quarter... I didn't see an option to get a whole or half.. which I would totally have done. The olive salad on it also just wasn't quite how I remember it being in New Orleans.. and there definitely could have been more meat. For dessert, I had the strawberry shortcake. It was actually really good, other than the film residue that coats your mouth from whatever is in the white cream? Not sure what that was all about. All in all, it's not my first choice. I love Jason's Deli as a chain, and this location is no different. Parking can be interesting, depending on your timing, but that's to be expected anywhere with good food. All staff I've interacted with have been pilote and helpful. All areas I've seen have been clean and well organized. Do yourself a favor and swing by if you're in the area. read more

I love Jason's Deli. I have found virtually nothing they cook that isn't delicious. I tend to always get the salad and the black currant tea. If you haven't had the black currant tea before, it is almost naturally sweet. Savory. Their salad bar is one of the best, consistently so. I've been eating their salads since probably 2006 or so, and never truly tire of their offerings. The hummus is good, ingredients fresh, and the food exemplary. I'll caution you that when you go to get another salad, they have a tendency to be so quick to clean everything, they will clean/bus your table in that short time you are gone.
