First time here, and it was a pretty yummy experience. My bf got the french onion soup, which was my first time trying it. It was good, just too salty for my liking. His chicken caesar salad was good too. Just got a little nervous because of the whole lettuce outbreak, but it seems to be ok. I got the country french breakfast with a potato galette. First time trying one of those and it was yummy especially since I love potatoes. The rest of the breakfast from the crispy bacon to the eggs and croissant, I'd say it was very filling and delicious. read more

By far, a huge disappointment! All of the employees stood behind the counter with a fricken phone in the hand like it was their last day on the job! Cold coffee, you had to ask for condiments, none on display. I thought it was MacDonalds ( nothing available) unless you went to the counter and asked. And then it was like a big deal to retrieve jam from the kitchen. The DFW location is awesome. Maybe someone needs to go out and conduct employee training. read more

Service is at a snails pace. Not expecting it to be fast food but a latte and ham and cheese croissant should NOT take TWENTY MINUTES. To remedy would be to hand patrons their pastries after purchase. Don't wait until the latte is ready. Also try to give patrons their pastries instead of letting them sit in the toasters for minutes. Lastly I'll never go back. read more

Tasty quick and nice atmosphere. I had the Croque Major with mixed greens salad, really good ham and cheese sandwich with Asiago malted on top. Vinaigrette on the greens was nice and light. The food is great, service leaves a lot to be desired. It used to be great. We came in about 530 on a Sunday. It was not busy at all. We were waiting in the service line for 20 minutes before anybody greeted us asked if they could help or said anything. The line started backing up behind us about five people. When we finally got up to pay, I asked the man if they were shorthanded. He looked at me and rudely said "no why". I said that we had been waiting a long time. He shrugged, didn't apologize, and I moved on. We used to come a couple times a week, but I guess they don't need my business anymore. By the way, he was the manager. There were no greetings and no "thank you for your business". read more

So stopped at La Madeleine for some breakfast and got the Quiche Lorraine. They changed the ham that was in it to little ham squares and raised the price. I don't mind if you raise the price but don't skimp on the ham. It makes the whole quiche taste different and not in the best way. It's like Little Rocks within the quiche. A lot of La Madeleine's food is like heat and serve and it's been that way since they turned the chain into more of a "fast-food" establishment rather than a cook-to-order restaurant. Best to get something that has to be prepared. Or a pastry read more

The atmosphere of this lil place really makes you feel cozy and fancy. I've never been to France so i cant speak on the authenticity but it definitely has a warm and cozy vibe once you walk in, sit down, and start to have lunch by yourself of with a friend. I've been here twice and I enjoyed it both times. Its definitely a good spot to meet with a friend, read a book, or take your laptop to do some homework or hang out for a while. I mostly have enjoyed the atmosphere and food options. They have delicious Quiches and their potato soup is very good. Definitely check out their lattes and sweet options at the end. They have adorable tiny tarts which are also amazing. The service is just okay, but it seems most of the front staff is young so its understandable. read more

It's so loud in the kitchen that the receptionist can't hear me unless I yell. I think the inside is cozy enough but at the same time it's kind of a clustered mess for the eyes. I just don't know if I would come back to eat just because ordering is so cumbersome. Food is aight. I had their famous tomato soup, the cold pasta, and a sandwich. I think it was a bit underwhelming. read more

The quiche crust was not flaky or tasty. The filling was unmemorable. Overpriced. The watermelon salad was good , but small portion.

Yikes! This has always been one of our favorite restaurants. We haven't been in a while and things have changed-not for th better! The area where they usually show what foods they have is now blue caked. We didn't see a menu. No one spoke to us until we were almost to the cashier. Now you order from the cashier (from memory), do it is very slow! My tomato soup and Caesar salad were as Usual. My husband ordered the new corn chowder as they didn't have broccoli cheddar. It was not even warm. He tried to order half of a ham and cheese croissant. They said they couldn't cut it in half, that it would fall apart, so he had to order a full one. The croissant was dry and guess what-it was cut in half!! We couldn't find the bread they used to have, so we asked. They brought us a little paper bag with 2 tiny pieces of bread, a butter pat and a smidge of jam. We are very disappointed with the changes and won't be back! read more

It's not as clean as it used to be. The food was mediocre and the service was subpar. Definitely not the LaMadeline that I'm used to.

Not as good as they were before Covid. Have to be choosy about what you eat--everything is not as good as it used to be. You can't tell because they don't have the same number of customers. Overall, I think la Madeleine is a restaurant you can skip if you're scoping out a new restaurant to try. I have eaten there several times but only because my mother's workplace gives out gift cards here as prizes. If my family didn't have gift cards here, we wouldn't eat here. I'll start with the food. Pictured below is what we ate on this most recent trip. The French onion soup was alright, but I personally thought it was much too salty. The chicken riviera sandwich was passable but quite bland. The pesto pasta with roasted shrimp was, again, passable but also quite bland. The sea salt baguette was good and was the best part of the meal. We took a fruit tart to-go, and that was good. In the past, I have tried the chocolate tart, lemon tart, and the sacher torte parfait, all of which were sweet and pleasant. Next, the service. The employees were pleasant, but the way the restaurant is set up is confusing. You order before seating yourself. It wasn't really clear, and it's also confusing if/when you tip. I don't think you're missing out if you don't eat here. I think the best things they have to offer are the pastries/bakery items at the front. read more

I've been going to this La Madeleine by the parks mall since I was a kid. This restaurant has always had a special place in my heart. First off, the atmosphere is just amazing. It's cozy, rustic, and romantic. The place really feels like a French cafe! Everything is always very organized and clean, and tables are cleared very quickly here. The staff at La Madeleine are very friendly and always have great suggestions in regards to their food and different ways to try it. I am a huge fan of their Sacher chocolate cake and their fruit tarts. I can't go to La Madeleine without grabbing at least one slice! I also just adore their Cesar salads. I know that seems a little simple but they do a great job with them and it's always a go-to for me! Overall, I love this place but it is a little pricey. I would recommend it to anyone who's passing by! read more

I visited on Labor Day and it was short staffed so the wait on food was a longer by a few minutes. Nothing major though. This location has a pretty good staff and cooks as well so I like coming here. I ordered the Balsamic salmon with rice and broccoli which also comes with a salted baguette. As an appetizer we ordered the quiche Florentine which was soft and creamy. On the way out of the door I had to order me a yogurt and cherry pastry. Must try. This thing is the devil in flaky pastry heaven lol read more

Came here to get fruit tarts and cake for my mom for Mother's Day as I do every year. This year I got my girlfriend's mom some fruit tarts as well. I made two separate orders, each one containing half a dozen individual fruit tarts. By the time I got home and opened them we saw that they were lemon tarts. I took them back and the guy there said it was because they didn't have fruit tarts at the time I got my order and could only replace my 6 of the 12 that I ordered. I understand they were really busy with it being Mother's Day and with Covid-19, but why would you not just tell me you were out of fruit tarts and give me a refund. I don't have an issue with the two hour wait time or the fact that the items were unavailable. The issue is that they gave me something I did not order and didn't tell me and after I drove back to address the issue, the guy said he would only give me 6 of the 12 I paid for even though I saw 8 more in the window. If I went somewhere and ordered a hamburger and they were out, they wouldn't just give me a chicken sandwich without telling me. read more

1. Came to the bakery and asked if the butter croissants contained eggs. The woman working replied, "No I don't think so" and I said is there anyone that knows for certain or has a list of ingredients because we have an egg allergy. I was told No, and that there was nobody that knew the ingredients since the croissants came frozen. I asked her to check the box list of ingredients, only to find out that they do actually contain eggs. Had I not been persistent, we could have had an allergic reaction in the restaurant. The person with egg allergy was not able to eat ANYTHING HERE because there is nothing being done for allergy safety/sanitization to avoid cross contamination either. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES. 2. The "nutella croissant" had no Nutella inside, so it's basically the same as the butter croissant - frozen as well. 3. My sandwich came out incorrect, and I had asked the short woman that looks like an angry troll (if you've been here, you know who) if she could have it fixed please. She argued and told me my sandwich looked normal; it didn't have any of right ingredients per the menu. She stormed off to the counter after rolling her eyes at me. She didn't know I followed her because I thought she would spit in my food. Sure enough she was talking s*** to her coworker who actually stopped her when she noticed my presence! They told me to wait for my sandwich at my seat multiple times, but I wanted to stay on watch and make sure no foul play was involved since they were so pressed for me to walk away. Let me add - there's 3 different ordering counters and 2 registers for paying, all with different lines. If you want a sandwich and bakery item for example, you must wait in 2 separate lines and pay 2 separate times! Complete chaos! Nobody bothers greeting customers or explaining the process either Overall scam since nothing is authentic. Disgusting service for overpriced, frozen garbage. We will never be back here. read more

I love that there's a la Madeleine close by. I stopped by here to pick up some soup and a pastry. I wasn't sure what to order and upon the lady at the front's suggestion, I tried to mushroom soup. I picked up the palmier as well. The soup came out quickly and tasted delicious. The palmier was cold and tasted like it had been there for a couple of hours. I recommend warming up the desserts or asking them if they can do that. I was disappointed that the soup didn't come with a baguette, however I'm not sure if they normally do. All in all, I look forward to stopping by soon. read more

One of few French-inspired restaurants. Our family favorites are the chicken friand with mushroom sauce, quiche Lorraine, fruit tart, the sachet torte chocolate cake. I used to love their plain Napoleon, but it has been discontinued. Nice calming country European decor & ambience, perfect place to study or just hanging out with bunch of friends. However, the pandemic has affected the service there. Last time I got a take out in November 2021, I stood in line for 30 minutes, while staring at my brown bag of order on the counter, that just needed to be picked up. Apparently, only one person at one particular cashier can (or allowed) to handle pick up order. read more

I love the food and order delivery about every week and almost every single time the latte is poured super short. My boyfriend and I get doubles and it's always missing over an inch from the rim which is so frustrating considering the coffee is $5+ each and the ratios are completely off when it's messed up like this so it tastes bad half the time. Though I love the food, I'm pretty sick of $10 worth of our order being consistently messed up every time. I guess it's my fault for still trying and hoping it won't be completely off every time but c'mon, if you're going to charge this much for a latte then you shouldn't be pouring them to be a little over halfway full read more

First time in 10 years that I have been. The tomato basil soup and the croque monsier

I'm not much of a chain restaurant goer, but I find myself returning to La Madeleine again and again. The homey French cafe atmosphere, especially on a cold day, is warm and inviting. Service is always friendly. Though the French greetings can seem a little forced, they are always delivered with a smile. The quality of the food is high, and La Madeleine has done a good job of avoiding a cookie cutter experience at their stores. If you like French onion soup, I've never tasted better than here. I will often meet a friend at La Madeline for coffee instead of Starbucks because I prefer the atmosphere, and they provide a really great refillable cup of coffee for under $3 and throw in assorted bread and jams at no extra charge. Wifi is also available. My only minor gripe is that occasionally the staff member who's working checkout is also making salads, which can cause really long wait for those of us who may be ordering pre-cooked food or when I'm just there for coffee. Also, they've recently remodeled the countertops in my local location with a white granite which collides awkwardly with the French cottage feel of the room. But, I like the place too much to be put off. I will continue to be a repeat customer. read more

A wonderful little chain that I miss since I've relocated from Texas. Better than fast food and won't break the bank. Whether you're in the mood for soups, salads, sandwiches, or some French pastry, La Madeleine has got you covered. On my most recent visit, I had the Chicken Florence sandwich (perhaps not authentic French but tasty nonetheless), tomato basil soup (yum!), and bowl of fruit. Also had a bit of my bro's Chicken Friand and it was as tasty as it always has been, especially with the mushroom sauce poured over the top. This location has a fireplace right in the middle of the dining room, which is awesome during the winter and if you get easily cold with the A/C blasting. read more

I love this place and have always been satisfied with their food and service. I just wanted to make sure they get a food review too! We went in to grab breakfast, the gentleman was quick to greet me with "Bonjour!" After I ordered a Quiche Lorraine he went promptly to get it & package it up. I also picked out a BlackBerry croissant with cream cheese, & my boyfriend got a parfait, croissant, & berry tart. The employee heard us talking about our work day ahead and packaged our things together based who was taking what. He confirmed before he finalized our goods. We didn't even ask him to but found it very sweet & thoughtful! Great service, quick and easy to pick up things when you're on the run. Came in at 6:30pm and the place is not busy at all. No long lines, only 2 people in front of us. I got a salad and my husband and daughter decide they want breakfast for dinner. Of course they make my salad on the spot. I ask the girl for a Chicken Caesar Salad, she doesn't put chicken on it. So I have to ask again for chicken. Not a big deal. Same girl checks people out. By 7pm I've finished my salad and we are still waiting on my family's food. We figure it takes a while to cook the bacon. A lady comes out (different lady) who tries to give us two large pasta dishes. Clearly not breakfast we tell her it's not ours. She says "but this is for table number 9" which is we had the number 9 on our table. Turns out the lady who checked us out assigned the number 9 to the couple before us but then gave us the table number (spoon with #9) for our order, hence the mixup. The lady figures out which table it belongs to, now she goes back and we are left sitting again with no food. I notice that same couple get up and leave. So at this point it's 7:05 and no food. I go back and tell them about the table number mixup. She then asks me whether or not we got our food, I said we don't have food. So she goes to check and looks like they haven't even made it. ****REMEMBER THIS PLACE IS DEAD, barely any people dining Finally food comes out and all they gave my daughter is one scrambled egg and small cup of fruit. Her order is supposed to be scrambled eggs, fruit and bacon. So I asked her and she says "oh yea". She leaves and comes back with bacon. Never apologizes for anything. Really, I always thought of La Madeleine as a place where you can't go wrong with the food or service. I mean really you just order and it's made right then and there or comes out pretty fast. It's cafe style. Never felt the urge to leave reviews for places like this because some level of bad service is to be expected during peak hours. This place was dead and no one apologized. Only reason why I gave it 2 stars is because I've always loved La Madeleine. I've been going to La Madeleine for 20 years. This location however is just horrible. How long does it take to make 1 scrambled egg & 1 bacon for a 7 year old? Love how they half ass cooked the food too like they finally were in a hurry for once. read more
