First time visit! The establishment was clean, with ample seating. The lady who assisted us with our order was awesome! She was patient, answered all our questions and gave us suggestions. The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived, but by the time we sat down, it started filling up with the lunch crowd. A dry rub (instead of a sauce) is used for the chicken. You can choose the spice level according to your preference. It doesn't take away from the fact that whomever came up with the combination of everything on those sliders needs some kind of flavor award! Now the restaurant itself has a very unique flare to it on the inside. It's not just paint on the walls; it's art! Like someone created beautiful pieces of artwork all over the restaurant. If it was a couple of people saying the place was bad, I'd get it but when MULTIPLE people are saying it, then this place needs to look itself in the mirror. I ordered two tenders and fries. The only thing that was decent was the bread and that was suspect. The chicken was over cooked and had a funny taste to it and the fries did as well. I can't put a name to the taste, it was almost like freezer burn or something like that, though it wasn't, but it was enough for me to just focus on the the pickles. I wish I could give a better review, but I can't. I'm barely giving it two stars and it is getting two stars due to being open at 9pm. This will be a one and done for me. So we decided to check it out. The line was around the block, but we waited patiently, service, was fairly fast. We wanted to taste how hot was hot, and we had one person in our group that wanted mild. So we ordered one HOT, one Medium, and one Mild. Our taste buds tells us that their seasoning is a hot garlic flavor. You get two tenders laid, each on a slice of white wheat bread, with fries or one side, (we got the fries on one, and kale slaw on the other two). Fries are seasoned crinkle cut fries (nothing special, simply the bagged frozen potatoes you find in your freezer section), with seasoning added. The Kale Slaw came in a medium size container (larger than the competition), and it was crunchy and fairly good. Meals are served with sliced pickles, ketchup, honey and special dipping spicy mayo. The only disappointment was the size of the two tenders, Yes, they are larger than the competition, but not that much larger, I would say, not longer than their competition, but thicker than the competition. This chain has a lot of competition, from Lisa's Chicken (thinner tenders) to Chicken Express (slightly thinner) to Dave's Chicken & Seafood (six tenders served with ranch dressing and fries). What is going to keep me coming back, probably your seasoning, but what is going to make me question if I should? The size of your tenders. The bottom line, I don't eat white wheat bread, so I didn't eat the bread, so that is why the #1 didn't fill me up. How about adding a 3 or 4 piece combo? .... But that is going to be quite expensive, because your menu says adding (((one tender))) adds a whopping $4.69 that would be $22 dollar for a 4 piece combo?? Seeing all 6 pieces on the 3 combos, some tenders were large, some are half the size of the larger ones. Maybe keeping an even cut on the tenders would help, serving always the larger ones, and giving the customer an extra little one to the order? read more

As of now, Ricky's is still my bar. 2 tenders inside a bun and fries WITHOUT a drink for $14 seems super steep to me. Definitely a price that's too hot for its own good. Adding a drink & mac n cheese made the meal total $20! Oof. The chicken sandwich was decent but small (1 tender inside). With that said, the tenders are decent in size and they gave a good portion of fries so that is a redeeming point. Having a drive thru is also a plus if you don't want to go inside. The flavor was perfectly mediocre. Thr cole slaw was ok. I wasn't blown away but I wasn't disappointed UNTIL I tried the Mac & Cheese. Unless you just really dig that imitation cheese flavor, just skip the "cheese adjacent" Mac. It wasnt even a full container of it, lol. Chick Fil A has far better Mac with actual cheese. I've sadly had worse but it's not worth the extra cost. It was colorful and modern inside with graffiti art, which totally vibes with me and there were a ton of employees there getting it done. I'm curious how long that will last after the "new new" dies down. The service was fast, food was hot, but it's not a place I'll rush back to.
