Magnificent! I've been going to Pollo Loco for many years and to various locations within the US. We recently moved from Orange County California to Arlington TX and we visited this Pollo Loco in Arlington TX and I must say it was delicious. The food was made with love and the service was top notch. For once the green salsa was not water down and the salsa Fresca was literally fresh. Spicy too! The beans and rice had a unique flavor, so much so I'm willing to write a review and share with you all how delicious this particular Pollo Loco tastes. The girl at the counter was very sweet and attentive - she even brought our food to our table. I was so impressed with the food and service that I did not leave without letting them know what a great job they're doing. So we drove all the way from Round Rock to watch the game next day . We arrived at 9:50 and drove straight to Pollo Loco because it's one of my favorite restaurants and we don't have one in Austin . So we pulled up to the drive thru and the girls said "we only have Chicken " that was fine because that's all I wanted. So I started my order. She said to hold on , Someone told her "Just tell them that everything is out away so we can close early " so she said " Oh we are closed. " we could not believe it !! I had the chicken burrito and I was pleased on my first visit to EPL. The chicken was tender and plenty of cheese. I was really disappointed to get home and open my takeout order and have no sour cream, guacamole, or pico even after confirming that they were included with our meals. After a couple of months decided to give them another try...we used a coupon for $10 meal for two. 2 legs & 2 thighs, 2 beans, 2 rice, 2 churros,2 salad & 2 tortillas...really good except the salad was bad. Today 12/31/21 used $10 Meal for Two coupon again and again used drive thru BUT this time they gave us 1 leg,1 breast, 1 wing, 1 thigh. I called from home when we opened our food and the woman responded with "thats what the coupon clearly states". That's not what the coupon states. I had a 2nd coupon and went home to verify, called El Pollo back and the guy said the same thing....1/2 chicken...I said no you are wrong your coupon states legs & thighs...oh sorry, in the past it's always been 1/2 chicken. I have been to El Pollo Loco several times for lunch and a few times for dinner. I've always been impressed by the quality and value of the food. It may not be 100% authentic Mexican food, but the chicken is roasted and juicy, the veggies are fresh, the tortilla chips are thick and crunchy. So good! Tonight's visit was exceptional though. My friend and I wanted a quick affordable dinner, so we stopped in. We both ordered the Avocado Chicken Bowl combo with a side a queso. We got our drinks and sat down at a table and waited for them to call out our order. Soon, a server named Samuel came over with a tray filled with chips, queso, and Avocado Chicken *Burritos*. My friend and I looked confused, and I said, "We ordered the Bowls." The server apologized profusely and said that he didn't hear the "bowl" in the order. When we checked our receipt and saw that we had paid for the Burritos, my friend and I agreed that it really didn't matter that much and would be fine with what he was delivering. My friend and I were right that it really didn't matter! The Burrito was packed with chicken, avocado, cabbage (why not lettuce? Oh well...), beans, cheese, and more and was oh so good! About a third of the way through the burritos, Samuel returned with a second tray. This time, the tray held two Burrito Bowls. We were stunned! When we said that we meant it when we said the burritos would be fine, he said that the store policy is to get the order right every time. When we asked for lids so we could take the bowls home, he cheerfully fetched them, then left, then came back a couple minutes later with a bag so we could carry them home. My friend and I were both really impressed! They didn't have to do that, but the fact that they did guaranteed that we would be back. That may or may not be a good thing for the poor restaurant because, as I got up to leave the table, my tray inexplicably bounced into the air and all of its contents went flying! The resulting mess looked like the aftermath of a Fourth Grade food fight! I went to tell the Manager and to beg their forgiveness for being such problematic customers, but the Manager was very kind and good natured and said it wasn't a big deal. We also complimented young Samuel, who was as polite and helpful a young man as any manager could hope to have because really... He was! The manager looked proud!
