The sides were rice and what I thought was bean and ham soup, were actually called charro beans. YO. I would go back just to get a large size container of that. Honestly, it was bean and ham soup to me and that's my favorite soup. Forgive me if charro beans gets offended, but these were absolutely delicious. The fries came with good amount of meat, complete with cheese sauce on top, guac, sour cream, jalapeños, & choice of salsa. I asked for extra salsa verde from the bar & the staff kindly gave me 2 small containers to fill. Regular price for these fries is $12.99, (+) 1.50 for carne asada. The meat was flavorful. Although this is a chain restaurant, the quality of the food is always very consistent in all of their restaurants...And always great quality. We stopped going here because every single time something was wrong with the order. I mean every time. After a year we decided to try again. The salads changed. Gross lol. I just placed an online order and I meant to do it for delivery but accidentally chose pick up. I called and explained. The guy that answered the phone did not say one word, just put the phone down. It was just an open line for over 4 minutes. Then I hear telephone in Spanish. A girl says they have to wait. Another 5 mins pass as I continue to listen. I finally hang up. I call 11 times and not one time did a person pick up that phone. Looks like they are back on the too stupid to exist list. We just went and picked up the order. 3 items .completely wrong and 1 item missing altogether. As well as the French fries not being cooked all the way. As I was leaving discount tire, I decided to stop in and finally give this site a go for. I went there yesterday, August 8th and ordered the whole chicken meal with two cokes. Well because I got my meal for later that night, nothing dawned on me to check it. Big mistake! To my surprise later that night, I unraveled my sack only find barely a half chicken. In my bag was my rice literally. I picked the rice cup up and the whole bottom fell out? The only reason they are getting two stars is the food tastes good. I've been here 6 times and 3 of those times my order is wrong. They tie the bags tightly so when you get home you see that your order is wrong. Wrong meats mostly, this last time I ordered the half chicken deal and a Regio Platter along with a pound of carne asada. $60 I spent. The half chicken and platter come with beans and rice. I get home and I have one rice, one beans, one verde sauce ,one roja sauce, and one foil of tortillas. Whoever worked today made this place lose a customer. Not coming back. read more

I go to Pollo Regio at least once a week. Last night my wife went to a different location in Mansfield. I could tell it wasn't our usual location. Can you say disappointed? My first issue was with the chicken tacos, which only had a pinch of chicken in them, literally. My carne asada tacos had meat in them but burned. The tortillas on both orders were super greasy. Then there's the half chicken combo. The chicken wasn't seasoned at all. The rice was salty. What happened to my onion? It was like they grabbed random peices of onions that fell off different onions during the grilling process and just threw them in with the chicken. And the green sauce at this location is a joke. Love El Regio! The front staff is always pleasant. We only get the whole chicken or half when visiting. The chicken is always on point. Perfectly seasoned. Grilled enough for a nice smokey char flavor. They give to-go ramekins for sauces. I wish the amount of ramekins given were more than three. We love the Green Sauce.
