What a hidden gem. It's great for pickup and with about 6-7 tables to dine in. Nestled next to Kroger in a shopping center with plenty of parking. I see at more of a pickup and go kind place. The staff are all friendly. Since it was my first time they recommended the fish and shrimp combo with Cajun fries. The winds as well. The. Cajun fries were seasoned pretty well and crispy. I prefer to go lighter next time. The fish was crispy and delicious. The 3 shrimp were pretty big in the combo and seasoned well. They gave me the spicy garlic and bobs hit sauce to try both were great. The wings were small and crispy you can add seasoning or have them baked like I did. Overall great price service and taste. I've been hearing about this place for a while and decided to get something to-go. It takes about 15 mins to make since it's cooked to order. The chicken tasted fresh, and I loved how crispy the skin outside was. You could tell it wasn't oily at all which I liked. I liked the chicken but I did feel it was missing something. I can't explain it. I got my chicken dark. Also, tried their large sweet potato fries and mashed potatoes. I wasn't a fan of the mashed potatoes at all. Freshest chicken and yummiest that my husband and I have eaten in a long time! I had the 3 piece white meat. It was crispy but not overcooked and seasoned perfectly (not too salt or bland) My husband had the chicken tenders and they were really good. The Cancun fries were ! I didn't like the macaroni because it was spicy (didn't know bcs it wasn't noted that it would be spicy) The mashed potatoes with white grave were pretty good. Yesterday, I ordered takeout from here after hearing the hype about it being the "best fried chicken in Mansfield." Unfortunately, my overall experience was average, primarily due to the inconsistent food quality. ​Ordering was a breeze--the online system for pickup was easy to navigate, and the meal felt reasonably priced for a family order. When I arrived for pickup, I was immediately greeted by a lady who was super welcoming and genuinely friendly, which was definitely the highlight of the visit. The store was cool and clean. ​However, the food itself was mediocre. The most significant letdown was the fried chicken. It was not tender at all; rather, it was rubbery, and I suspect it hadn't been fried for quite long enough. I also picked up a piece where a large section of the batter had come off one of the wings, and while the batter was seasoned some, I was not impressed with the underlying flavor of the chicken. ​The sides were also problematic. The sweet potato fries were okay, though I've definitely had better elsewhere. The mac 'n' cheese was another surprise: it had a heavy kick to it and was unexpectedly spicy. It would have been fine if it had been designated as "spicy" on the menu, but since I'm not big on heat, and my kid wouldn't eat it, it went unfinished. ​Maybe this was just an off day for the kitchen, but based on this experience, I just don't get the hype. Okay Mansfield has something special. I am a wingstop and pluckers fan 100% but this place knows what they're doing. They fry their chicken up to a perfection and the skin on the fried chicken especially is to die for. I also like that they have all sorts of chicken in case one person isn't a fan of wings. The chicken strips were fresh, and the fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Everything was well seasoned although the crispy fries were a little salty. This is one of the best fried chicken I've had around here. So flavorful and its crispiness is crazy! Make sure you get the fired chicken skin, that is a must! The chicken here is delicious it has that crispy crunchy exterior that you crave while being extremely juicy and flavorful on the inside. I'm partial to the bone in chicken but the stripes here are also delicious. Many flavors and seasonings to choose from. The spicy house made dipping sauce is craveable and great on everything. The chicken is pretty darn good. However, the sides were among the worst I've tried and it's quite disappointing to have paid for them. The mashed potatoes were chalky and had a TON of pepper with no salt. It was intolerable for all 6 of us. The gravy had an extreme amount of salt and we couldn't use it. The Mac and cheese had this odd kick to it and were oddly not creamy, like at all. I'd 100% buy chicken again here but since they don't have good sides, and we are a sides family, I won't buy too terribly often. A friend told me about the place so since we're visiting them in Grand Prairie and it's only 10mins away we decided to stop by and check it out on their grand opening day 6/2 boy are we in for a delicious treat. We ordered gizzards, fried fish filets, wings, fried oysters, chicken skin (chicken cracklings/crackles) They're new so it took a bit to get to our orders but nothing too long out of the ordinary maybe 10mins or so? We talked to the owners a bit they're locals and been living in Grand Prairie fo years. Onto the foods.... The batter was thin not caked on like some fast food places and very crispy! The meats from the chicken combo and wings are very tender and even juicy to our surprise! A surprisingly favorite was the fried oysters! Omg... So fresh and meaty to bite into! I can see why now! The coating on the chicken is so crispy which my daughter loved. She said the Cajun fries are delicious, but she wasn't a fan of the mashed potatoes. I got the fish and shrimp with corn nuggets. The pic I attached is only half of what came with it. The fish are big pieces and the shrimp were huge compared to what you get at other places. I had enough left over for my lunch the next day. While waiting for my order a gentleman came out and gave everyone a sample of the gizzards. I've never had them before so I tried it. Just call them crack. They are glorious. Addictive. Bob should sell them in bulk; like a dump truck. Chicken. The batter is perfectly crunchy and very well seasoned. The chicken in both the thigh and tenders was moist, well seasoned, and tender. I could eat a bucket of this chicken. Shrimp. Too often chicken or seafood joints sell frozen shrimp out of a bag. Here the fresh shrimp are deveined and battered, and have a touch of panko. They are big, perfectly cooked and seasoned perfectly. Could eat a bucket of these too. They are perfect. The sauces are made in house. The tartar sauce is great and was good on both the chicken and the shrimp. The spicy garlic is sort of a sriracha mayo; it was very good too. My lone complaint: would have liked a lemon wedge for the shrimp. I should have asked; they might have. Didn't try any sides but will when I go there for dinner. Great place.
