The young man was nice and professional, the location was easy to get to and it was clean. They have a variety of items on the menu but I wanted fish. The fish was so good. The fries were so good!! Had my eye on this place for a few weeks and pulled the trigger tonight. Ordered the catfish and shrimp combo with fries and okra and was not disappointed! Just with the house seasoning that comes standard the fish and shrimp were very tasty. Dipped in their Cajun sauce takes it to a next level. Simple no frills atmosphere. When I try new places, I take whatever risks come with it, including wasting my money. I learned about them in my foodies group on Facebook; the reviews were mixed, but most were good. When I see something located directly off Cooper, I worry about the heavy traffic. This was an easy in and an easy out. The establishment was clean, organized, and well presented. I had: Fried catfish w/fried okra and corn fritters - 3 pc This was such a disappointment and a waste of money. Their reviews are excellent, and I was shocked, to be honest. Shocked that I happened to get something that ended up being thrown away; it wasn't edible. First, whatever seasoning they used on the fish was way too salty; I had to do my best to brush it off the fish. The fish was fried well; however, it was fried too well. It was so dry and overcooked, you literally needed something to drink after each bite. Two and a half pieces of fish, in the trash. I had planned to have it for lunch, dinner, and one the next day, but that didn't happen. The okra and corn fritters, as you can see in my picture, were overcooked as well. The okra was hard and did not taste like a fresh fry, and even if frozen prior, they can still taste fresh. The fritters were burnt. All went in the trash. When I think about it, I'm a bit perplexed. I had a twenty-minute wait, he said it was due to them making the food when ordered, but that definitely wasn't the case. The fish wasn't piping hot, nor were the sides. The best thing about the visit was the lemonade; it was good. Based on the reviews, in particular, the Google reviews, they seem to be pretty solid overall. They fell off. Today's meal was disappointing. I got a fish sandwich meal. The sandwich was oddly room temperature even though I waited almost 15 minutes for my food. My fries were cold and old. Today's meal was $13.00 & it was trashed so a total waste. I tried to eat as much of the sandwich as I could but it got soggy and became unappetizing. Lesson learned. It was good the first time. I moved to Texas over a year ago and had no success on finding a good restaurant until I was referred to sharks and baby let me tell you sharks is more then good it's delicious It warms my heart to eat sharks. I have to go at least twice a week to get my shark attack on. Great customer service, friendly staff, clean restaurant and bomb food. Busy location so be patient when you get there. It is in the gas station. If you called an order in make sure you go up and let them know. They won't ask. Depending when you go be prepared to wait 30 minute. If he has an aggressive tone don't take it personal lol. Food was good though, they cook it when you order it. read more

I've never tried it and I've heard about it so I'm in a wheelchair and trying to get in the building is very difficult I just ordered a side order of onion rings and 25 minutes later I still hadn't gotten them I told him life is too short and I left I got out to the parking lot in the gentleman came up and said oh so sorry all my friars were filled and so I just said okay thank you and I got to my home and I open up to eat the onion ring and it was so dry and so overcooked it was unedible so that's $8 I want never see again but it's an $8 education to never ever send anybody there or never ever go back there again read more

It was late and they were open. A small neighborhood restaurant, not fast food--all made fresh. I ordered a shrimp poboy and absolutely loved it. The double row of pickles was an excellent touch. My partner had the fried wings and he was impressed by the tastiness. He gave rave reviews on the coleslaw which is rare. We are only in Arlington temporarily., but we will return.
