So so good! Will definitely come here again. Food was amazing. Service was awesome and the place was super clean.
I tell ya, Mansfield is full of gems, and Sunny Thai is one of them. The ladies at work wanted to order from Sunny, and why not, of course, I'll try them, I love Thai. I wanted something light, and the wonton soup kept calling my name. Ordering online was very easy; that was a relief. Some websites can be a bit complicated and not as detailed with their menu items, but their website made ordering effortless. Wonton Soup: Shrimp wontons with bok choy. topped w/garlic oil, green onions & cilantro. This was excellent! The broth was so delicious that, if I had only the broth, I would still be satisfied. Every single ingredient was fresh and cooked perfectly. Every bite was packed with flavor. I ordered the small portion, and it came with four shrimp wontons. I can't rave about this enough; it was that good. I can't wait to visit again!
The food is amazing and a great price. Service is quick and very friendly. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes. Restaurant can be pretty full so don't be a afraid to get it Togo
We enjoyed Sunny Thai. We are new to Mansfield and this was the first Thai restaurant we've tried in the area. We were here on a Thursday evening, around 6:30 pm. We got seated right away. Our server, Nancy, was at our table right away. She took our drink orders while we studied the menu. For a starter, we shared: - Thai Shumai - steamed I ordered: - House Salad with Peanut Dressing - Wonton Soup - large My wife ordered: - Pad Kee Mow with Fried Tofu The appetizer was very good. Very meaty with a nice dipping sauce. My wife's Pad Kee Mow was also very good. My Salad with Peanut dressing was nice. My Wonton Soup was large! Taste was a bit blandish for me. Nancy brought me the spice/sauce rack and I added some Hot Chili Oil and that helped. I was told they purposely keep salt to a minimum in their preparations. That's smart. It allows customers to salt to their preference. Server Nancy was pleasant and helpful. The Vietnamese young man that works there was also very pleasant and helpful. We look forward to returning to Sunny Thai.
I love sunny Thai, their food is always so solid and delicious. I've been to their other locations so having this one in Mansfield is nice too because it's not too far from me. Everytime I order takeout it's always right! I love the noodles and I will ALWAYSS love the chicken skins!
This was my first time trying this restaurant. Some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Outstanding service! Our waitress was fantastic.. super friendly, patient, and answered all my questions with a smile. I will definitely be visiting this place again.
Came here the day before Christmas Eve for dinner, and it was pretty packed. My first impression with crowded restaurants is that it's usually good -- people WANT to be eating there. I spent the entire day at the hospital without a true meal. To have a nice warm and hearty Thai meal was my version of heaven on earth. The ambiance was relaxed and warm. Memorable orders were the larb, the medium spicy shrimp Tom yum soup, and the chicken skewers. There were lots of other foods that we ordered but when you're feasting with a hungry family of 9 at the table, you're playing a game of "you snooze you lose". Medium spicy was quite spicy, so if you want a kick of spice in your soup, I'd ask for the spice on the side or just opt for a mild Tom yum and ask for spicy sauce. Skewers were delicious, especially with the sauce and mini veg they served it with. Lastly, my family let me have at the LARB. Protein forward, refreshing, and dare I say keto friendly if you're on that diet. The mint and scallions made it so delicious and were also palate cleansers at the same time. This was everything I needed after a heavy day grieving at the NTICU right across the street at Methodist Hospital. Thanks Sunny Thai for brightening mine and my family's evening with your delicious food. 5/5 would DEFINITELY come back here; highly recommend.
I was on a mission to find delicious Pad Thai, and I believe we found the place for it. This place is legit and has the best dishes we've had compared to others. I believe that it's the sauce that makes the dish and that's what the other places got wrong. I got the Pad Thai, and their sauce was so flavorful with the right amount of spice and the portions were really good especially at the price. It was so delicious, and it's become one of my favorite Thai places. My boyfriend got the Pad Kee Mow and he said that it was the best he's had. Definitely a place to try for authentic Thai food!
Sunny Thai in Mansfield is a great little Thai restaurant. The service was excellent, the food was great, and the atmosphere was lively The menu offers a variety of options (Thai and other Asian cuisine options). They also have Thai coffee, Thai tea, and alcoholic options The portions are hearty, and everything is well-plated. I was also pleasantly surprised that you can substitute white rice for brown rice Some tips: If you like red curry, theirs is tasty. Also, their spicy/heat levels range from 1-5, and I enjoyed a 4, but it packed a punch of heat Cheers!
Stopped by for some to-go lunch while out Christmas shopping and I'm so glad that I did! Good Thai food is always a bit pricey. This place is no exception to that. This location is easy to find in a shopping center. It's clean and quaint with super friendly staff! While ordering, I was asked if I was vegetarian, just in case I could not have eggs. Although I'm not vegetarian and love eggs in my Thai dishes, I was super grateful that they were concerned enough to ask! I ordered the veggie spring rolls, the Pad Woon Sen (veggie, level 2 spice, no mushrooms, extra noodles), and Thai fried rice (veggie, level 2 spice, no mushrooms). I was a bit surprised with how much food I received. It was plentiful and enough for my daughter and I to eat on for a few days. The flavor of the Pad Woon Sen was perfect! So was the Thai fried rice. The spring roll dipping sauce was delicious! The only thing I will do differently from now on is to bump up the spice level, as level 2 was hardly any spice at all. I did ask for chili oil, which I added to both dishes for an extra kick of heat. I will definitely return if I'm ever in the area!
This is only my second time here since they've opened. First time was meh so gave it a second chance. This time I ordered Lad Na with seafood. Taste of gravy is okay, had a salty/savory component, good sauce thickness. There was a bean looking ingredient that I'm not sure what it was. Something I've never seen from other Ladna's I've tried whether Lao/Thai or Vietnamese versions. For being seafood and paying the up-charge, which I'm okay with, I only got 5 pieces of shrimp, so $1/shrimp considering the 5th piece being a baby. I had high expectations of this dish. I ordered to-go and the greeting wasn't as welcoming, but the gentleman who brought my food was very polite and kind. Ambiance was cute and offered tight seating. I personally would not dine in. This would be an option for me if I was really craving specific dishes and not wanting to drive 20-30 mins for those dishes. Overall, give it a try. Your palette is different from mine.
Food is always amazing. Service is super friendly and attentive. Food quality is top tier. I just wish they had one in Waxahachie

Excellent service, greeted & seated right away. Fast to get our dishes out while not compromising the freshness. Staff checked on us often & was very kind. We had crab fried rice, pad se ew, & eggrolls. Eggrolls were good, the fried rice was good but there wasn't a wow factor. Pad se ew was a bit more saucy/liquidy than I anticipated? There was alot on the bottom, I was kinda surprised. The tables are really close together. It is a small place, by no fault of their own, but maybe take away a table or change a four seater (there were two of us & our table was two put together) into a two seater. We bumped the table next us sitting down one of us got in the booth side & the other table next to us, their booth person bumped us on the way out. read more

The owners son steals the tips left for the rest servers, when I complained a young woman who dresses and looks like a teen boy called me on the phone and began to berate me. Instead of being diplomatic and helping a customer she was angry and acted like she wanted to fight. This is not the American way of doing business with the American people, a tip is a "gratuity" left for the service you've received, will never ever patronize this establishment and if need be I have a video of what happened. This is what most Asian Rest owners practice, they keep the tips. read more

From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by Joshua with a warm, friendly welcome and a big smile that immediately made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was inviting and Remi & Makayla were incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely eager to make our experience exceptional. All of them here worked together with such harmony and efficiency - elevating the entire experience. And the food? Absolutely phenomenal -- the best Thai we've had in Texas by far. Every dish we tried was superb, perfectly cooked, and bursting with authentic flavors. We started with the crunchy spring roll appetizer, which was fresh, crispy, and paired with a delicious dipping sauce. The Thai tea with boba was perfectly sweet and refreshing -- a great complement to the bold flavors of the dishes. For mains, the red Thai curry with steamed rice was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced -- comfort in a bowl. The drunken noodles with chicken had just the right amount of heat and were packed with flavor and tender chicken. And the crispy beef with fried rice was a standout -- perfectly cooked with just the right crunch and a flavorful, satisfying sauce. We couldn't leave without trying the Thai mango sticky rice, and it was the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. The mango was incredibly fresh, ripe, and naturally sweet -- paired beautifully with the warm, perfectly sticky rice. The coconut cream drizzled on top was rich and silky. The coconut ice cream, made in-house, was incredibly creamy and rich, with a smooth texture and a natural coconut flavor that tied the whole dessert together. Everything was fresh, hot beautifully presented and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. It's not easy to find a place where you get both speed and quality, but this restaurant delivers on both fronts. This place is an absolute gem, and we'll definitely be back. You can tell they put their heart and soul into what they do and they all work If you're looking for Thai food that truly stands out, with service that makes you feel at home, this is the place to go. The 3 of us dining consider ourselves Thai connoisseurs We are picky and know great Thai food and we highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Thai food served with a smile! read more

The best Thai in Mansfield hands down ! Excellent service and thank Go there was sitting room for the three of us. Nice early 2000 playlist and mid 90s. Noise is fair and the available handicap spots were a plus. Thank you Twon he memorized our order and also ask my name!! The first since being here in Texas that the waiter ask who I was like wow! Anywho it's the small things that stand out to me I pay attention to details and how people make you feel. I already booked marked y'all coming back with the hubs and my girlfriends read more

I'm was so glad when they opened this location in Mansfield since I love their one in Arlington too! Their Thai food is some of the best in the area and never disappoints. The service here was super attentive and made sure we always had what we needed! The space feels a little smaller than the location in Arlington so not sure if it's be great for really large groups. Overall, if you are craving Thai cuisine in the area- this is the place to go! read more

First time at the new Sunny Thai on Broad, although we've been to the Matlock location many times. I have to say, this spot as good as Matlock, which means it's incredible. Everything cooked to perfection, fresh and generous portions. Price is very reasonable and the service is great. It is a "Must try!" read more

Heard good things about this place and decided to try it out. I ordered the chicken basil fried rice. It was run of the mill Asian fried rice. Nothing special. I would rate it a 6 out of 10. Not a whole lot of flavor. Good amount of chicken though. I would give them another try with another dish but it won't be my new go to place. read more

Employees - from the start to end were friendly and helpful. The food was awesome! Many choices! The red curry chicken matched up with the other Thai restaurants I have been to. Music was a little random - skipped around between genres but not too distracting. We had a great experience and will likely return. read more

This new Sunny Thai in Mansfield is your basic strip center location with a clean comfortable interior. There is a banquette along one wall with tables and a few other tables out front. You are greeted by some of the most joyful servers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! This is our second time dining here and they are just as welcoming this time as the first. The menu variety here is astonishing. We've had a sampling now from almost every category - several appetizers, salad, soup, rice dishes, noodles - and they've all been very good. The appetizers alone take up an entire page. My personal favorite is the Chicken Basil Wraps - marinated and sauteed ground chicken, red bell peppers, water chestnuts, carrots, and onions are wrapped with soft rice paper and served with Thai spicy soy sauce. Entire pieces of Thai Basil are wrapped into it and they're so flavorful. The Chicken Wings are super crunchy and were my husband's favorite; but we both enjoyed the Fried Thai version of Shumai this afternoon. The dipping sauces here are superb! Appetizers are $5.99 - $11.99 Today I had an old favorite, Pad Kee Mow and it was excellent. The veggies were al dente and the heat level was perfect. And those rice noodles! Silky soft and oh so yummy! ($13.99) My husband tried something new, a thinly sliced, lightly battered, fried beef with veggies that was wonderful. ($16.99) It needed a little something to sauce up the rice, so he used some of the Tom Kha broth; but I suppose he could have asked for soy. We ordered a Large bowl of Tom Kha with Shrimp; but even the soup has variety. You can choose Tofu, Chicken, Beef, Seafood - of course with varying prices. The broth was terrific. I love Tom Kha and this was some of the best I've ever had. There was certainly more than enough for 4 people. (Shrimp $13.99) I also want to mention the Thai Beef Salad that I had last time. It was incredible. Sliced grilled beef with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, scallions, red onions, garlic, chilies, and Thai vinaigrette dressing that I just had to finish. Bright, acidic, and very beefy - I'll be having that again. ($15.99) My husband had a beautiful veggie laden green curry that day, his favorite. ($16.99) There's desserts, smoothies, slushies, and all kinds of beverages. Sunny Thai is a terrific place to have a good time. I know we have. There's plenty of parking all along the strip! read more

Delicious! Our first time here and we are so glad we tried it!! Yummy and great. We will for sure be back! We started off with the curry pastry puffs and pork spring rolls, just delicious! I had my go to massaman curry pork and it was so good. Hubby loved his ginger chicken and kids loved their crispy beef with fried egg on top of his rice and then herb chicken fried rice. I did sneak a bite of my son's chicken fried rice and it was delicious! We ended with Taro milk tea with boba and this is by far the closest I've had to when I am in Taiwan and get it there. Yes, I know Taiwan isn't Thai, but it was excellent and just so good!! I'm already craving another one now! read more

Food was really tasty. And the young man serving us was very friendly and accommodating. I'm not a big fan of owners sitting with their spouse and family members in the restaurant talking loudly and acting like they are at home, but that's just me. read more
