We tried to eat at the Hearth Cafe before on a Sunday but it was packed. We got to try again on a Saturday afternoon and we missed the brunch crowd. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Chris took care of us. He helped us with recommendations, my husband kept it simple with the eggs your way (scrambled), potatoes, sausage, bacon, and toast. I got the Croissant sandwich, it had tomato, arugula, egg, avocado, pesto, and aioli and I passed on the meat. It was a tasty sandwich I wish it had a little spice on it but the ingredients were quality. I also got roasted potatoes, they were cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they were also seasoned well. I also got a cocktail, it was called Clouded Judgement, it was their take on a margarita but it was simple but tasty with a nice amount of lime juice. We also got my kid some food to go, chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and eggs. The pancakes were fluffy and packed with chips. The bacon was thin but it had a nice crisp on it. The eggs were good too. I met my mom here for lunch, it had been a while since we met for lunch. The restaurant was very clean. We were able to sit down immediately. The menu is filled with all kinds of good stuff so it's hard to choose. I went with the new fiery fig, grilled chicken sandwich with bacon ! It was so delicious and the crispy potatoes topped it off. Wow! What a find! Amazing food, great service. I had the Fried Green Tomato BLT. It came on sourdough bread, toasted just right. The sandwich came stacked with crispy, seasoned fried green tomatoes, perfectly cooked bacon and peppery fresh arugula which made the sandwich a perfect bite. I did sub regular mayo but if you prefer a little kick, you could leave the chipotle mayo. The hubs had the huevos rancheros. He added chorizo, excellent choice! We decided to try this breakfast brunch restaurant located conveniently on a local shopping strip, ambience is homey. Service was friendly, and we were seated right away. Coffee was hot and strong, We decided to try the boozy bacon (pork belly) it was delicious. The fiery fig chicken sandwich with house potatoes was ok, wished for some fire. Had an omelette with grilled onions bacon mushrooms, was good, the toast never came, when it did, it was cold, then it was replaced by a lukewarm, not very toasted toast (sourdough toast has to be nicely toasted to be good). Hearth has really fell off for me. It used to be my husbands and I after church spot. We're from New York and hearth always hit the flavor spot for us. But Since the reopening it has not been the same. We've been twice since the reopening and both times have been disappointing. This last time really sealed the nail in coffin. We've been getting the hash for years and it used to be crispy and presented nicely. They stopped the brisket which is understandable but the potatoes were either lightly roasted and cut huge, the onion mixture was wet? I ordered my eggs scramble soft and my husband just regular scramble and they gave him the same eggs as me which was a turn off for him. The pumpkin spice latte was gross. I took two sips and was done. The pancake was good at least. Also the atmosphere is very different. All the old staff was so welcoming and warm and all of that is gone. It's important to connect with customers not just want their money. Also the floors continue to be very dirty along with the bathrooms. Expansion is always great but maintaining integrity is key. Still love Hearth Cafe! The consistency of the food and flavor is top tier. The staff is awesome and some have been there for years. I'm excited about the expansion and look forward to the new things they implement. Hate that they no longer have the boozy bacon because it was a fave of mine (I asked about it being discontinued and they said it was a supplier issue). I still get my go-to French toast with a side of chicken sausage and house potatoes. My hubby and good friend go straight to the hash. Never a dull experience at Hearth. Stopped in for post-thanksgiving breakfast at exactly the right time. At 9:40 am, there was parking and only a 3 minute wait for our table (compared to when we left after 10 am, there was a half hour wait). Our waitress was attentive and had our lattes out quickly. I was recommended the Honey Lavender Latte, but I got coconut milk instead of regular dairy milk. This was a beautiful and refreshing drink and would highly recommend it. I'm never disappointed when we come here to eat. What I love most about this place is they are always evolving and adding new things to the menu. Here's the downside, we went on a Monday, only half the restaurant was full and took a good 40 min to get our plates. We ordered espresso and pumpkin latte, both of which took about 20 min to get delivered table-side, then the espresso was cold and I had to send it back. Then the only negative regarding the food was the voluminous amount of burnt potatoes I had to pick through to get the good ones. Giving this 3.5 stars, 5 for the food, 2 for the service. Easy to find brunch spot with awesome food and full bar. Parking can be iffy but if you don't mind walking there's plenty. Service and staff is always on point. Food is always delicious. If you're looking for that good ol small time big breakfast dive restaurant type of spot, this is it! Small spot BUT expanding soon. Very solid breakfast and lunch menu with BIG proportions. They also have plenty of coffee variations and offer Mimosas. We've had the same waitress twice and she was awesome. Even spoke with the owner of the place and he told us about the expansion. I drive by this restaurant every day but in all honesty ir never caught my attention . We finally gave it a chance this morning & we are so glad that we did . The restaurant is much more appealing on the inside than it is from the exterior. It's small yet spacious , and the decor is " trendy " . We started with two lattes , one hot and one iced. The coffees had a good flavor but I recommend adding double of the syrup flavor you choose , for it to taste just right . For a started we ordered the cinna-yums. This may have been our favorite item ordered . The sweet potato bites were crispy , drenched in flavor , and the bacon added the perfect balance of saltiness to offset the sweetness . For our breakfast choices we picked the hash platter with brisket . My husband loved it and could only finish about half . I ordered the southwest scramble , which was equally as good ! The eggs combined with the southwest veggies , cheese , and garlic sauce were delicious . The potatoes were good as well but I would of traded them in for the flavored potatoes my husband had with the hash platter . All in all Heath is a 4 out of 5. The wait was a bit long due to slow service , but it's understandable given that the restaurant is quite small with a good amount of people . The prices are also fair . We had breakfast here this morning... We were excited to try hearth because of the 4.5 rating. Sad to say this place was super underwhelming.. Let me start off by saying that I ordered the breakfast sandwhich which had great flavor which was accompanied by the potatoes that were cooked perfectly but lacked salt and pepper. My husband ordered the the biscuits and gravy. A little after ordering our server came back and said that they sold out of biscuits and gravy. Husband was upset but looked of something else to order (he looked for 10 minutes). She came back a short time later and said that turns out they had biscuits and gravy, husband was now happy. We ordered a kid breakfast with eggs,bacon, toast, and apples. We also order a single plain pancake and cinnamon roll pancake. We got our meal and immediately noticed the biscuits and gravy serving was small for the price of $14, a small biscuit when the norm for MOST breakfast places is at least 2 biscuits or one huge biscuit. The biscuit was smaller than the plan of his hand. The biscuits and gravy was lack luster, it needed salt and pepper, maybe better sausage. Now, on to the most dissatisfying part of the meal. Our pancakes, they tasted burnt crispy and had another weird flavor which may have been a dirty griddle or oil? Worst part of the meal. Our service overall was good. Did get a free caramel macchiato because a table may have turned it away for maybe ordering it wrong and it was good but way too sweet. I was torn on my rating simply because our experience started out badly. I had read the reviews on Hearth Cafe because it was a place my daughter and son-in-law had been to and had such a great experience. I am a firm believer that the service you provide counts just as much as the quality of the food being served. We got there and got on the wait list and was told it would be about 10-15 minutes to seat the 6 of us which wasn't bad I thought. Well, 10-15 turned into 20, 25... after being told they are working on getting you seated. I watched them move tables together so other people that came in after us could be seated. On two separate occasions had the opportunity to seat us by pulling two tables together but instead sat others there. Only after going up and asking a second time why we weren't being seated did they act. But then they carried a table from the middle of the restaurant, where two tables already were, to add to a table up front. The tables were moved almost directly in the front door and so close to the host station... I can honestly say the food is good. There wasn't anything that we order that wasn't good except my grandchildren ordered chocolate milk and was like milk with a "afterthought" of chocolate. Will I give it a second chance, yes. We visited for dinner last Saturday night. The menu online was great looking so we decided to go. Unfortunately when we walked in they handed us a piece of paper on which was printed a very small menu. The items listed were mainly appetizer items and pizza. We were very disappointed. We decided to order the pizzas which were ok. We will not return, especially for such meager offerings. Why stay open for dinner if that's all you're going to offer. We kid you not, the food here was Delicious! It was our first time here. We started with a new starter item on the menu called something like Soupy Beans (I know weird name), and it knocked our socks off. You absolutely have to try it. The gravy on the Biscuits and Gravy breakfast was the best we have had in a very long time. The Hash was a huge and delicious and the serving was enough for two people. My Porker Burrito and their special salsa was top notch too. The owner came around to check in on the customers which was very nice.
