I ordered the ribeye and eggs meal , which comes with a 6-8 oz ribeye , two eggs prepared how you like, toast , home fries. I also ordered a coffee , and a side of sliced tomatoes. Food came out quickly and my server was really friendly and attentive. Steak had a weird texture to it , but tasted ok. Not likely that I'd get that steak again. Thankfully the menu you has a large variety of options. Offering Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. My meal and overall experience was good and if and when In this area again , I'd return for sure. There was plenty of parking , and plenty of places to sit inside of the restaurant. Clean restaurant with really nice lighting. The booth I was placed in also had plug outlet , which my server said it was completely fine for me to charge my electronic devices while I ate . Using my military ID discount, I paid under $20 not including the tip.

Great food and service! The Denver omelette was tasty as well as the hash-browns. I'll definitely be stopping by again :)

I love this place for breakfast. It is perfect for a feel‑good meal, and the service was just what I expected. I ordered the croissant French toast and thought it was unique and full of flavor. Someone else in my group ordered the eggs Benedict, which was good, although the hollandaise sauce tasted bland and lacked originality. The bacon was also extremely thin. Overall, it was a good experience, but do not expect high‑quality food.

First time at this restaurant for brunch after the church service. We were seated as soon as my husband and I walked in. Our cheerful server, Erica greeted us with such great attitude Then our food came in within 5-7 minutes and was surprised with the quality of food. The plates were cleaned, my strawberry waffle was one of the best waffles I ever had. It was airy and light plus the strawberries topping were not super sweet, which was great! The place was welcoming and really feeling the country feel. My husband and will come back with our daughter very soon and will definitely ask for Erica! Super and exceptional customer experience!

Breakfast Sampler: that's an huge feast in itself, all cooked to order each as you like it. Yummy. German Pancake: super thin light, and if you squeeze a little bit of lemon on it, it is quite refreshing. Staff and service was very friendly and attentive.

This is a local spot that's is usually not as packed. We came after church on a Sunday and it took awhile to get our food. Once we got the food it wasn't anything really to rave about. We ate and went home. Our waiter was attentive, plenty of parking.

First time at Jay Jay Cafe. I arrived early Sunday morning and was seated immediately. The server greeted me with a smile. I ordered coffee. I ordered the eggs, home fries, bacon, and a pancake. The pancake was delicious and the bacon and eggs were very good. The home fries are cooked with onion and green pepper. I ate around the green pepper as it isn't my favorite. I would have liked if the potatoes were a little crispier. Overall my breakfast was very good. The service was very good, always checking to see if I needed a coffee warm-up.

Grilled pork chops with hash browns, sunny side up eggs. Order includes a huge thick fluffy pancake that's not pictured here.

We had high expectations from my experience with the breakfast food. Well, the non-breakfast items were mostly disappointing. I got blackened tilapia, which was dry, overcooked, & bland (I dipped it in onion ring sauce to give moisture). The beans were also bland, the green beans were ok. My daughter got the grilled salmon, which was also dry & bland. Hubby got monte cristo which was NOT good, not the monte cristo we expected. Rather, it was sourdough toasts with cold cuts. Son liked his chicken fried steak, but it wasn't spectacular. Onion rings weren't bad. Father in law loved his omelet & hash browns. Other than that, service was fast & friendly. I would just stick to breakfast items.

Walking into the diner takes you back to an earlier time, but the smiling faces of the servers keeps you engaged and craving every bite. Like last time, there was a long line but we got in pretty fast. The hostess told us 35 to 40 minutes when we got on the waitlist it was actually 31 minutes, so happy about that. We were seated quickly and our server, taylor B. was prompt and friendly. The inside was clean and comfortable. It has nice decor without feeling too cluttered. We split a breakfast burrito because I has one the last time we were here and it was tasty and large enough to split. It was good, very large, not the best I have had, but pretty much exactly what we expected. I would recommend this restaurant.

Loved it. We'd been…read moreto the Memphis, TN location about 10 years ago and enjoyed it. Now that we live in the DFW area, it was time to try the Fort Worth location. They are located on a corner and parking is limited. I found street parking on the side street, about a block down in front of a house. We walked inside Gus's about 11:30 am on a Wednesday. They were busy' but had a number of open tables. There are mostly square and rectangular 4-top tables. We chose one by the front windows. A moment after we sat down, our server, Joe K came by to greet us and he took our drink order. Menu's are at the table, so we studied a bit and were ready for Joe when he brought our drinks. I ordered: - Unsweetened Iced Tea - 3 Piece Dark Chicken Plate (my choice: leg, leg, thigh) with Greens and BBQ Beans My wife ordered: 2 Piece White Chicken Plate (breast, wing) with Mac-Cheese and BBQ Beans The chicken was the star for sure. The BBQ Beans weren't special but were decent. The Greens, decent. With each meal plate, the chicken is served on a slice of white bread. The chicken was fried to a deep brown and was real tasty. My dark meat was juicy and tender. My wife's white meat was drier but normal for white meat. My wife's felt the chicken skin was maybe overcooked as it was tough. It was fine to me. I ate her skin :) We'll be back to Gus's!

I ordered the pork chop plate, and the server kindly let me try both a fried pork chop and a smothered one since I couldn't make up my mind. I also had fried cabbage and yams. The cabbage had a little unexpected heat to it, but that's actually the same way my family cooks theirs, so I ended up really enjoying it. One thing that stood out to me was the staff. I'm not sure if the restaurant is always staffed this way, but I was genuinely impressed that all the front-line workers were men -- and every single one of them was courteous, respectful, patient, and mindful of each customer. While I enjoyed my meal, I watched them treat each person who walked in with the same positive energy and attentiveness. If you're in the area, go support this restaurant. In today's world it's comforting to know there are businesses verifying identity! Kudos!! Once seated at home I opened my container to hot fried catfish, tomatoes and okra, Mac n cheese and hot water cornbread. My first bite of everything was very good and seasoned to perfection. I got so full so quick that I wasn't able to finish but it made for perfect leftovers later that day. On to the desserts! My mom got a slice of pecan pie and I enjoyed the strawberry cake. Both were tasty and prepared perfectly! I will stop in again for fried pork chops when it's time for an off plan meal.

It was semi-crowded but the line was short. This was our first time so it took us a while to survey the menu board. We asked a few questions as well and the staff was very helpful. There were two of us and we ordered as follows: - Melt Sandwich on a Croissant with Original Chicken Salad and Provolone Cheese plus a cup of Poblano and Chicken Soup - The Chick as a Sandwich on a Croissant with Original Chicken Salad plus a cup of Poblano and Chicken Soup - Large Fountain Drink - Each soup came with 3 packs of crackers - Each meal came with a small cookie THE FOOD In short, we love it. the sandwiches were great. My wife's croissant was toasted and I had my croissant not-toasted. I tried her's and I liked it more. It added a bit of crunch and more depth of flavor. The original chicken salad was great. But guess what? They have 15 varieties! We'll try other one's on our next visit. The soup was real tasty. It had just a small amount of kick to it as well. The consistency had a bit of thickness to it but not too much. We enjoyed it. The small cookie they serve with each meal was very sweet and tasty. OTHER They use an order number system where you're given an order number sign that you place on your table. Staff delivers your order to your table along with silverware. A holder with napkins are on each table. They also have a staff member that constantly roams the store, clearing plates and such from tables and confirming that everything is well with your meal. Nice touch and the woman was quite pleasant. I downloaded their app and signed up for their rewards program. I'm not sure just yet, what and how much you earn as a function of your spend. I did earn a dollar off my next order for doing their online survey. The info on the survey is at the bottom of the receipt. I ended up going back up to the order counter before we left to purchase a small container of their pimento cheese product. I was able to use the one dollar discount too. See you next time Chicken Salad Chick!
