It was dinnertime after a late haircut appointment. My wife and I were in the mood for some good ole home cooking. Jay Jays was very close by and never lets us down. They weren't too busy, so we were seated promptly. Another delightful visit with Norma as our server. She took wonderful care of us, and we never lacked for anything. After looking over the menu, my wife opted for the chicken finger platter with French fries and whole kernel corn. I decided on their incredible turkey dinner platter, what turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans and homemade cranberry sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed during a previous visit. I HAD to have it again. While we were waiting on our entrees, a big basket of rolls and cornbread was dropped off at our table. The rolls were warm and the cornbread sweet and delicious. I absolutely love their cornbread muffins. After having time to much down on a muffin, Norma arrived at our table with our two dinner entrees. OH MY, my turkey dinner platter was overflowing with deliciousness! I knew I was going to enjoy it. My wife said her chicken fingers were fried to perfection and the French fries and corn was scrumptious. I was so excited to dive into my turkey dinner platter. It was as delicious as it was previously. Our dinner experience was WONDERFUL. Thank you, Jay Jay's for a wonderful time! We'll see all again soon.
I ordered the ribeye and eggs meal , which comes with a 6-8 oz ribeye , two eggs prepared how you like, toast , home fries. I also ordered a coffee , and a side of sliced tomatoes. Food came out quickly and my server was really friendly and attentive. Steak had a weird texture to it , but tasted ok. Not likely that I'd get that steak again. Thankfully the menu you has a large variety of options. Offering Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. My meal and overall experience was good and if and when In this area again , I'd return for sure. There was plenty of parking , and plenty of places to sit inside of the restaurant. Clean restaurant with really nice lighting. The booth I was placed in also had plug outlet , which my server said it was completely fine for me to charge my electronic devices while I ate . Using my military ID discount, I paid under $20 not including the tip.

The plates were cleaned, my strawberry waffle was one of the best waffles I ever had. It was airy and light plus the strawberries topping were not super sweet, which was great! The place was welcoming and really feeling the country feel. My husband and will come back with our daughter very soon and will definitely ask for Erica! Super and exceptional customer experience!
Breakfast Sampler: that's an huge feast in itself, all cooked to order each as you like it. Yummy. German Pancake: super thin light, and if you squeeze a little bit of lemon on it, it is quite refreshing. Staff and service was very friendly and attentive.
This is a local spot that's is usually not as packed. We came after church on a Sunday and it took awhile to get our food. Once we got the food it wasn't anything really to rave about. We ate and went home. Our waiter was attentive, plenty of parking.
First time at Jay Jay Cafe. I arrived early Sunday morning and was seated immediately. The server greeted me with a smile. I ordered coffee. I ordered the eggs, home fries, bacon, and a pancake. The pancake was delicious and the bacon and eggs were very good. The home fries are cooked with onion and green pepper. I ate around the green pepper as it isn't my favorite. I would have liked if the potatoes were a little crispier. Overall my breakfast was very good. The service was very good, always checking to see if I needed a coffee warm-up.

Loved it. Today was our first time at Jay Jay's. We really enjoyed it. The dining room is quite spacious with a mix of booths and tables. The pie cabinet is at the host station and it looks amazing. We arrived about 9 am on a Thursday, so there was plenty of parking and seating. Ashly was our server. She was quite pleasant and did a great job. Other servers were around often with coffee refills which was nice. Two of us split the following for breakfast: - Chicken Fried Chicken with Hashbrowns and 2 Eggs Fried Over-Medium - Side Egg: 2 Soft Scrambled - 2 Coffees The breakfast came out pretty quickly. The food was hot and it was all tasty. I was pleasantly surprised that the soft-scrambled eggs came out as-ordered. They were perfect. We were too full to try a slice of pie but we'll be back. We were looking for a brunch place when other restaurants were looking at 1hr+ waits and came across Jay Jay. I would say don't sleep on on this place! Their pancakes were great and the pricing was also quite reasonable. We were seated immediately and our service was super kind. It was also apparent they have quite a few regulars, which gives it a nice hometown vibe. I see this becoming a new regular brunch spot for us! read more

We had high expectations from my experience with the breakfast food. Well, the non-breakfast items were mostly disappointing. I got blackened tilapia, which was dry, overcooked, & bland (I dipped it in onion ring sauce to give moisture). The beans were also bland, the green beans were ok. My daughter got the grilled salmon, which was also dry & bland. Hubby got monte cristo which was NOT good, not the monte cristo we expected. Rather, it was sourdough toasts with cold cuts. Son liked his chicken fried steak, but it wasn't spectacular. Onion rings weren't bad. Father in law loved his omelet & hash browns. Other than that, service was fast & friendly. I would just stick to breakfast items. read more

We called in the order, the menu is on the website, but there are NO PRICES for any dishes on your website, only price listed is the pies. We ordered without knowing the prices, so when I picked it up I asked the front desk for a take-out menu, she pointed me to the website, so I told her there were none. I suggest for the owner to take a picture of the menu prices and upload to the Yelp photos. We liked the eggs Benedict, and the ham steak breakfast, both were good, but the best was the one pancake, it was a nice size, and was very fluffy and thick (see picture). read more

This is advertised as a "scratch" kitchen. The food is nothing really special that you can't already make at home. Since we are visiting from out of town, we thought we'd stop in. We we was seated at noon on a Monday. It appeared to be catered to a retired crowd, that lacked taste buds. Kinda reminds me of a trip in Jupiter Florida where the food was mostly bland. This place is a notch of above the food from that retirement community. I don't think we would come back. Cracker Barrel is slightly better than this place, and it's not really scratch made. The corn tasted like it was out of a can and boiled slightly longer than needed and drowned in butter. I was told it came out of a bag, yuck. The fried okra was also nothing special. The pecan chicken was a four star on the plate.. This place also reminds me of Marie Callendars food. Where the pie shines above the entree. We shared a coconut crème pie and it was above and being the best thing sold to us. read more
First time trying this location. There are breakfast chain stores nearby, wanted to try something different. Place was clean, not very busy for a Wednesday at 0830. Was quit enough to do some work while I sat. Booth areas seem small, they still have plexiglass glass in between each table area, Covid barriers. Waitress was kind, always around, had no issue keeping the coffee topped off. The food was good. Nothing incredible of note. Basic breakfast fare. Bacon was thinner than I'd have expected and oddly didn't have a lot of flavor. Pancakes were good, thick. Overall a decent experience. read more

Service was impeccable. Good was fast and fresh. My some had the Country breakfast with has browns, I had the Fiesta Omelet with the potatoes. Both were hot and you could tell it was made when ordered. My son (who is 6!) kept telling everyone it was the beat restaurantes ever been to! We will come back with the husband! read more

Wow these tomatoes are very pale and taste almost like onions. There are so many of these white crispy onion tasting tomatoes that I spent more time digging them out than eating my food. This restaurant is usually very good but it is something about an over abundance of onions that you did not request that change your food. read more

The food was prepared and presented perfectly! I enjoyed every bite of the chicken fried chicken! Our server was beyond attentive and courteous! The ambiance was what you would expect from a diner ... we dined early so there wasn't a crowd and the restaurant was quiet. read more
