We started with a new starter item on the menu called something like Soupy Beans (I know weird name), and it knocked our socks off. You absolutely have to try it. The gravy on the Biscuits and Gravy breakfast was the best we have had in a very long time. The Hash was a huge and delicious and the serving was enough for two people. My Porker Burrito and their special salsa was top notch too. The owner came around to check in on the customers which was very nice. OUTDOORS Hearth Cafe had a very clean outdoor look. They had a patio area where guests can sit and have their meal. INSIDE Once inside, the decor was cute and chic. There was a certain humidity inside, which they seemed to be trying to control with fans. There were also a few leak spots on the roof (that's always concerning). WAIT We didn't have to wait for a table on a Wednesday morning. ORDER Even though the menu was a bit confusing, I ordered the 2 eggs your way combo and my husband got French toast. We also ordered two lattes which tasted better than they looked. 2 eggs your way: The season on everything was spot on! The potatoes were a bit over cooked, but other than that everything was perfect. My plate had scrambled eggs, toast with butter, ham, and potatoes. The French toast was "good", according to my husband. The portion size was small for the price. We also got a buttermilk pancake which we wish we could have finished but we were stuffed! It was quite large! The few bites we had were really good! SERVICE The service was really good. Our server did excellent and the other servers around were quite polite as well. Oh my gosh. This is my first visit and I was blown away with the service the atmosphere and the food. All the servers are happy and smiling and friendly. We stopped here for breakfast and the first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. It was very homey and comfortable. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. I cannot say enough to persuade you to eat here! I am certain that the coffee rises to the same gold standard as the food, but this non-coffee drinker found this little gem while looking for another spot. WHAT A FIND! I ate there two days in a row as it is located on my route to work. I had a burger (cannot recall which one but it had some kick) on one visit and the chicken salad sandwich on another. Both came with yummy crispy fries and I asked for a side of Ranch which they make in house! Although eating alone, after one bite of each, I was verbalizing aloud "Oh, my God! This is so delicious!" This food is WAY above your average cafe! It's a treat that you cannot miss. The staff was welcoming and attentive without hovering! They have free wi-fi and outdoor seating as well. You can even drive through! Coffee drinkers seemed to be steadily doing just that to get thru daily Java fix! They are expanding next door snd will begin serving dinner once the space is readied! Update: we've loved you Hearth Cafe from day one, we've stuck with our tried and true plates we all enjoy so much... however, this time we tried 2 new to us items and boy were we pleased. You've gone and out done your delicious self! The Huevos Rancheros are divine, so yummy! The "homemade salsa mexicana" on them is amazing! I'd take a bucket of it! We also tried a burger for the first time, didn't even know y'all had burgers, but the Truffle burger is finger lickin delicious. So YUM! Side note, music is always good, I know every word to each song playing every time we come. Atmosphere is cozy, inviting and welcoming. My sisters and I adore this café for lunch during the week when we're looking for something a little bit mixed between breakfast and brunch. Their coffee selection is excellent and their breakfast choices are extremely unique and always delicious. They do have lunch options here as well and a specialty menu. Had lunch w my sister and daughter and per usual checked in on yelp. When i did it a 15% coupon immediately popped up. Win win right? Wrong. I'll get to that. I got the Cinna latte - it was really good. Had the hash - also really good. Daughter had the Gouda grilled cheese and also said it was good. I showed the waitress our coupon when getting ready to pay and saw her asking others how to complete it. Someone came over to the table and asked to see it and i showed her. A few minutes later the check showed up. We had two coffees, shared a hash and dtr had the lunch special. Bill was still 40+ but food was good so got ready to pay when i saw a 20% gratuity was added for a large party. There were 3 of us? I didn't leave a tip and pointed up to that on the receipt to be sure the waitress knew i wasn't trying to not tip but i prefer to decide what i will tip vs it being decided for me. Especially when we are not considered a large party. Plenty of choices in Mansfield so i will find another spot for coffee and lunch. Really disappointed on the changes since the new expansion/reopening. The menu no longer offers sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas- most of their lunch options are gone. The menu has expanded their drink menu which seems to be the focus now with the new bar area. I don't understand the reason for the changes. They expanded because people loved the original restaurant/menu and were always crowded. Like the old saying goes "don't fix it if it ain't broke". I love supporting small businesses in the area but hope they remember why they were so popular to begin with. read more

We ordered the build-your-own omelet with Chicken Sausage, Spinach & Swiss Cheese. The eggs were NOT fluffy at all. Very dense. We ate it because my son needed his breakfast but not enjoyed it. We also ordered pancakes. These were good. Generously sized and was tasty. My son had the left over pancakes later in the day and they were still good. I had the granola yogurt parfait. Came with berries on separate containers and a generous amount of yogurt and granola. I was able to get 2 breakfast out of it. Parking was very busy on a weekday morning. But not impossible. Will look for another place for omelets but will try the other items on the menu if we are ever back in this area again. read more

We really enjoy this cafe, and it is the only place in Mansfield that is reminiscent of our favorite Dallas cafes. It reminds me of Ascension Cafe in Fort Worth/Dallas, but with more classical breakfast items to choose from. I really like the espresso syrup on the chocolate chip pancakes. So dang sweet. Yummy! It is a very homey, local place that is quite small, but they are able to fit quite a few tables inside! I got the porker sandwich and I highly recommend! The chipotle sauce on it makes it even tastier and it is huge. Comes with delicious, cripsy pieces of potato! My boyfriend got the southwest scrambler and ate every last bite! We also tried the pumpkin spice latte and mocha coffees! The PSL was sweet and came with whipped cream on top. The mocha was good, but I personally would ask for some sugar to put in! Their coffees are worth the money and they also have cards for cards to keep for buy 5, get the 6th coffee free! If you can not make it in to dine in, you can go through their very convenient drive thru! My only note is that we sat at one of the booths against the wall and the ppl that got seated next to us were definitely not 6 ft from us so if you are really strict on covid rules I might recommend somewhere else. read more

Just got kicked out of the Hearth Cafe because we had a 5 month old service dog in training who got excited when the waitress approached. He wanted to greet her and got excited. He laid back down right away. This is part of his training. The manager said he was jumping all around, which he as not. We were sitting away from other people so we were not bothering anyone. He had his organization service vest on but the manager did not believe us and made us leave. We offered the number of the organization so he could call, but he declined.
