Alright. This was my first time coming to this place. The food here is amazing. I will be back without a doubt. I will for sure be trying different burgers at this place. The totsies hot chicken sandwich is outstanding. And the Big Tex Burger is on point. You will not be disappointed coming here. I will be back like the terminator. read more

Had the opportunity to eat here last weekend with family. It's a nice little place with inside & outside seating next to other restaurants in Mansfield. The staff was great and friendly. Great customer service and willing to please. The food was great!!! Wonderful choices for hamburgers. I had this double bacon burger with cheese, grilled onion. They have numerous different type of sliced pickles in barrels to choice from. I had cheese & bacon fries. Only downside they didn't have any zero sugar drink products. Great place to enjoy good food. read more

The burger was on point. The atmosphere was good. I would love to come back when we are in the area.

Only been there during the day. Not busy either time. Got the Gouda burger. I love it. I could eat one every day, but will end up in the hospital probably. Pickle barrels are an excellent idea so you can try out the pickles. A good stop before a Ranger game. Go Rangers!! read more

Ummmm I had the best time here the other day! I mean really, what's more enjoyable on a lazy winter weekend than a delicious burger and some cocktails? I love all the different meat options.. beef, turkey, buffalo, veggie, lamb, and a daily special game meat (elk, camel, beaver, ostrich, rabbit, yep ). Lots of great sides like fried pickles and house fries, and house dipping sauces that I looooove. Chipotle ketchup, horseradish mustard, and a really great barbecue sauce. Mmmmm. Plus several different house pickles (try the wasabi). It's all SO good. And I love their thin crispy fries! I usually get a burger bowl (on a huge salad with patty on top) or just a burger with no bun, because honestly with the lettuce, onion, and tomato on it, there's plenty of food! Great drinks at the bar. Local beer and liquor, a mule on tap that's pretty legit, and a beautiful Bloody Mary. Tons of options, super casual vibe (order food at the counter), TVs, a few arcade games. I plan on coming in a lot more often. read more

The food was excellent and Shawn has great customer service! This is for the Euless location.

Burgers are good. Prices are a bit expensive. I enjoy the pickle options as well. The restrooms are kind of weird. Inside port-a-potty type of vibe. Service is fine, but slow. Also one time I came here and waited in line for over 20 minutes just to get up to the front and be told they had run out of beef. I felt bad for the workers, but they should have had someone come up to the line and let people know that before they reached the front. read more

The burgers are amazing! I got the western burger. It was 10/10! Service was super fast and helpful. We had never been before and they answered all my questions. The restaurant is so cool! Instead of numbers, you're given names of famous people. We were mad max! I heard Beyoncé and he man too! So fun!! read more

Great food and definitely the place to go if you're looking for a different spin on a classic burger. The service is good, the employees only interact with you behind the counter though. But every time I have gone they're super friendly. Ambiance it is a bit loud, but that is supposed to be the overall environment there. They have 5 barrels of different style pickles that you go up to and can grab to put on your burgers. read more

Twisted Root Burger is always a classic for me. I come here with my coworkers from time to time -- it's a great place to chill and they have great affordable food. You can also get drinks here for a pretty affordable cost, and it's almost like a sports bar feel. On my most recent visit, I got a Freshmen 15 burger, which I love and what's even better is that it only costs around $10-$15. Of course, if you want fries and a drink you pay more but $10-15 for a burger in this day and age? Yes -- I will take it. They have an extensive beer menu and I was able to drink a nice little beer to relax. It's a good go-to place for Happy Hour and I'd definitely come here again! read more

Twisted Root Burger offers a selection of top-of-the-line burgers and a really enjoyable, family-friendly atmosphere in which to eat them. Their portion sizes are more than generous (I typically cut my burger in two, eating one half and taking the other one home). You'll find some fun burger choices here, including the "Gosh Jam It" (Texas herbed goat cheese, tomato-bacon-onion-jam, chipotle sauce), the "Freshman 15" (smashed fries on top, melted cheddar, fried egg & bacon), and my current favorite, the "Millionaire" (Open-faced knife+fork burger with wagu beef, aged cheddar, truffle aioli, garlic mushrooms, bacon, dark beer sauce, crispy tobacco onions). Tip: The prices here are a touch high for the area, but the quality of their burgers makes the value proposition worth while :-) Side portions are also generous, and served in a basket, so it's easy and fun to share sides with the whole table. They also offer some delicious house-made flavored pickles! There are lots of excellent dipping sauces too - my current favorite is the horseradish mustard :-) To sum it all up - if you want delicious burgers and a casual, fun atmosphere, but aren't too worried about the bottom line then this place is a must-try :-) read more

I wouldn't go as far as to say that it's the best burger I've ever had but definitely up there and most certainly above-average. I like the ambiance that Twisted Root presents not just in the building itself but the way the food is presented when served. They also have a really nice pickle selection to choose from, my Favorites were the regular Dill and the sweet and spicy. The food is priced just about right for what you get as far as the Burgers go while the French fry portion It's quite small and could use an extra hand full for the price not to mention that the fries that I got were all slightly overcooked and thin little pieces. I like my fries long, and thick, The overcooked part can be overlooked if all else is right. All and all it was worth the visit and not only do I recommend you give this place a try for yourself but we will be revisiting often. Why four stars and not five: I feel like the sides could use a boost in size. *Poor *Decent *Good *Great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Food. Great Service. Great Cleanliness.Great Consistency. This place is amazing!!! As soon as we entered we were greeted with a huge smile and warm welcome!! It was our first time and the gentleman at the counter explained everything so patiently!! He took our order and it didn't take long to come out hot and super fresh!! The hamburgers were amazing and the fries are the best we've ever had!! But the onion strings took the cake for me!!! I love twisted root! I recently came here for a burger while on a low carb regimen. I did not get a bun I got a lettuce "wrap" instead. I ordered the verde burger, one I had never had before. All of the toppings are ones I love (guacamole, cheese, hatch chilies), so I anticipated it to be super good. The burger was pretty bland to my surprise. I was a little shocked, bc I have never had anything bland from twisted root, ever! I will blame it on my lack of bun! My personal favorite is their shroom burger, instead of being adventurous I might stick to my favorite next time!! They also have the most amazing custard shakes! They are top notch! read more

I decided to give Twisted Root another chance since I was in the area. This time I got the Tootsies Hot Chicken with a side of the onion strings. Both were delicious. The chicken sandwich was huge and just the right about of heat. Those onion strings though, they were so good. I wanted to just eat them all day. The only downside was the shake. I ordered the strawberry shake and it wasn't what I expected. It was just a vanilla shake with some strawberries at the bottom. It was also super airy and not in a good way. It felt like a let down, especially for the price. My recommendation is skip whatever it is that they are calling a shake and just get a drink. There are better ice cream options you can go to later. read more

I'll break this up by food and by service. Food 4 Stars- Very tasty burgers and the winnebago bar was a fun addition to the meal. Service 2.5 Stars- The cashier was so nice, but there was this older woman who must have been having a bad night. When the cashier asked if they had Barrel Aged Old fashion, she replied with a negative attitude and tone. The poor cashier returned with her head down from the response she got from the older woman. We then got our drinks that the same older woman made, well I've been drinking old fashions for a while now and after a small sip, I knew something was off. I let the woman know the drink wasn't made correctly and was so over powered with bitters that the sweetness removed the flavor of whiskey, but when smelling the drink I realized she didn't portion the whiskey due to being down to the last of the bottle but had to pour two drinks. She went ahead and poured the rest of whiskey in two drinks instead of measuring because she knew the bottle didn't have enough for two drinks. I told the bartender about it and she said, I'll pour it differently next time. Completely ignoring my feedback about the drink. So I ate the yummy burger and left the full drink on the bar and left. I won't be back because of this service. read more

This place was an unexpected pleasure! We ordered milkshakes root beer floats and they totally did not disappoint. We just wish we had bigger straws! They were thick and creamy with lots of flavor. The Gosh Jam It Burger was amazing! It had herb goat cheese with a tomato bacon jam. The American burger was really juicy with a great amount of cheese. The loaded French fries had a ton of bacon with cheese and jalapenos. It didn't have bacon bits, and it had actual cut up pieces of bacon on it. The staff were friendly, and helpful to us first-timers at this restaurant. As we were leaving, we saw another urger with a crispy chicken filet loaded with coleslaw, so we know we'll be back soon! Bon appétit! read more

Came here for dinner/happy hour at the suggestion of a co-worker. I loved the idea of the wild game meats. While there is a menu with lots of options, the staff seemed to be really flexible with meats, buns, and toppings. The vibe is that of a dive bar, but that doesn't take away from any of the professionalism or quality. Burgers came out fresh and exactly to order. There are a barrels of serve yourself pickles ranging from bread and butter to ranch to spicy. The serving size to price ratio is pretty solid and the beer selection is mostly local ($1 off for happy hour) read more

Currently in the restaurant waiting over 40 minutes for a burger. The operations have completely broken down. First time here, stopped by after a cowboys game and it wasn't too crowded. The environment is fun with many classic truck tailgates as wall decorations as well as ice chests as seats. Several TV's throughout and large seating area to handle bigger crowds. The burger was flavorful and I loved the bun they used and big pieces of bacon, very filling. The kids chicken strips however was very skimpy as shown in the pictures, for the cost was expecting bigger pieces. You must order fries on the side as they don't come with the burgers. My friend ordered the cheese fries and they looked delicious, however he said they were very salty. Worth giving this place a shot again though. read more

Be careful with this location! I've visited numerous Twisted Root locations for nearly a decade. I usually find consistency in this chain. This location was way out of tolerance and well below the standards of others! Very disappointing. Our party of 5 were on 2 tickets and 3 of the 5 had orders that were not right. One had asked for cheese to be added that wasn't. One asked for medium and the burger was quite dry and charred (obvious well done) and mine was a rather dry All American with only 1 strip of back and a tomato slice with a very fibrous core. The iced tea containers were empty and the lemonade mix was out remained that way the entire 40 minutes we were there. Management was informed by 3 of the party once we encountered it. The pickle barrels had been mixed (Some of the hot variety were placed in the Dill and Bread and Butter). Not just a slice or 2 but quite a few. I'm a huge fan of their pickle slices, usually! The pickle barrels were in bad need of being cleaned. The lids and tongs were quite sticky. Two of the tong holders had multiple slices in them. The wooden benches were sticky with lots of food debris on the floor. The condiment containers were sticky and needed a good cleaning. I should mention that the server had to walk around the restaurant looking for the tags on the table. When she delivered the first order, she took the wrong one tag. Minutes later, we saw her making a 2nd trip around the seating area trying to find the owner of the order she had and it was ours. The restrooms were atrocious! While I didn't go in the women's, the women in our group were all complaining about the stench and lack of cleaning. The men's restroom was dirty on toilet, walls and floor. The trash was full. Had it just been an item or two would indicate a minor event. This was gross lack of management oversight and indicated the employees just didn't care. read more

Honestly, I'm pretty surprised by the low rating of Twisted Root. While visiting the area for work, a friend recommended that we check these guys out. I had no idea they were featured on Diners, Drive In's, and Dives until I saw the large Guy Fieri poster by the front door. The line was out the front door around 1pm on a Sunday but they take counter orders quickly. Once we placed an order and grabbed a table, we waited for about 15 minutes for the food. This was understandable since they were so busy. This gave us time to check out the restaurant, video games, and pickle bar. They had unique pickle options available which was fun to try out. They also let you text drink orders (alcohol and milkshakes) to a number that is sent to the bartenders and managers in their apple watches. This worked out nicely even though I could have just ordered my milkshake at the counter. The shroom burger was fantastic, the cheesy fries were average (I prefer crispier/skinnier), and the fried green beans/carrots were interesting but we enjoyed them. Overall, the atmosphere was fun and the service was friendly. I definitely recommend checking these guys out. read more

Horrible experience. My wife's hamburger was bloody raw. When she took it back she was rudely informed she should have asked for well done and all of their burgers were cooked medium well. When blood from the meat is soaking into the bun that is not medium well. They dumped her plate (burger and fries) and made another burger. When they brought the second burger to the table there were no fries and the meat was bloodier than the first one. Why did the cook think he was remaking the burger? You would think for 20 bucks you would get a burger prepared by someone who knows how to cook a burger. We are done with twisted root and will never go back again. This happened to us once before there. I have never seen burgers served like this. Everyone knows hamburger meat must be fully cooked. I should have asked for the manager but did not I was too angry. Apparently they do this all of the time. Maybe they should hire a real cook. read more

First time visiting Texas and just had to try this place after finding it on a food network app. Once you step inside, you are transported into a unique atmosphere that makes you want to explore every inch of the restaurant. The Twisted Root is one of my favorite to burger joints in the DFW metro-plex. Great food, casual atmosphere and fun times all around. My entire family loves the soft buns and delicious cuts of beef or other meets like Buffalo. The kids really like the ice cream treats but I never save enough room. The most important stop while eating here is the pickle bar where you can get a variety of fresh homemade pickles. Our favorite happens to be the Bread & Butter pickles. When you have that Craving for Fried Pickles Twisted Root Burger Co - Arlington should be your #1 choice! Twisted Root Arlington is located on Abram St. and super close to Cowboy's Stadium and Six Flags! We where at Six Flags the day prior and didn't get our Fried Pickle fix, so here we go! The ambiance is what legends are made of! They have a Winnebago for the bar, YES a Winnebago (toured the country as a kid in one that looked just like it)! Video games and a tailgate wall make this place fun for the entire family. But not only a fried pickles joint, it's a fun place for the entire family with burgers, salads, sides, homemade custard shakes and oh YA FRIED PICKLES! Of course we had to try the burgers as this is one of Twisted Root's staples. Being from AZ we had to go with the The verde...the real deal hatch green chiles, guacamole & pepper jack. Super delicious and a super juicy burger! But my GO TO would be the Kevin Bacon "super fun name for a burger" but that's not why you want this Awesomeness! Loaded with bacon and danish blue cheese takes this burger to another level. Oh and don't forget the Cheese Fries! Oh and while we are talking about fries, go with the treat yo' self fries...melted cheese, jalapenos & bacon w/ a side of peppercorn ranch. Super, SUPER good and the peppercorn ranch is GENIUS! Now the star of the Show...Fried Pickles! Definitely worth the wait from not getting them at Six Flags! Fresh, Good and with a spicy chipotle ranch sauce SUPER GOOD! Came in with a friend and ordered 2 bison burgers. I made my own with jalapeños and BBQ sauce on it. I forget what burger my friend got. We also got fries and a s'mores milkshake to share. We also got some pale ale draft to share as I'm not a big beer drinker. My burger was cooked to perfection. It was perfect, juicy, hot and had a good bun with it too. One sturdy enough to withstand the sauce. Personally I didn't think the fries were all that great. My dinner partner liked them. The s'mores shake was phenomenal with chunks of graham cracker through out. But the best part was the toasted marshmellows on top dipped in the shake!! Amazing. The beer was pretty good considering I don't love beer. Not super hoppy and I appreciated it. The decor was cute trashy with a trailer set up at the bar and carvings into all the tables. But I liked it. Also everywhere should have a pickle bar because that is amazing!!! The only reason for the one start deduction is it was a bit pricey for a burger place like $30ish. Even though they were great burgers. read more
