Food is Always spot on at Arlington and Lubbock locations. It's a fun casual atmosphere.

Great burgers. They're big and, since all those pickles are free, skip the fries. Honestly though the fries are delicious. Double fried, hot and crispy. This place it not cheap. Two burgers with fries (one with cheese) and two drinks = approx $35. Thank God I wasn't paying or I would've canceled the order and gone to In-n-Out. Employees were fantastic. Not crazy about pandemic protocols; community condiments, community pickles, community soda machines, not wiping down tables, etc. If I went back (and had to pay), I'd just get a burger and drink which is still about $12-15. read more

Best burger I've had in the DFW area. Such a great and fun atmosphere. Good drinks as well. Love their red velvet milkshake!

Burgers were good!! This was our first eating here. But the servers were not friendly at all. No greetings when we came in not friendly at all. read more

I honestly don't know how this place has this many stars! I got a double american burger and the meat was SUPER dry. The flavor was pretty decent but all I could taste was pepper. The kids burger we ordered looked dry too. The bun was cold and fell flat since their patties are big. Our fried pickles came out soggy and we asked them to redo it and the 2nd time around it was much better. Customer service could've been better as well. Not great but not terrible. Fries were also not hot when they came out and we seem to got a lot of broken pieces. I looked at other people's fries and it seemed pretty consistent that everyone's fries looked the same. It was my first and most likely last time. There are plenty of better burger spots in Arlington. read more

When you walk up the front of the restaurant, the first thing you think is "is this the right place?" Lots of aggressive text written on the front window, the outlier of its more passive surroundings... It was something to take note of. But as you walk in, the atmosphere definitely changes. Food was pretty good. 4/5 read more

The fries were good. The burgers, according to my beef loving family, were below average. Good DOR those that don't like seasoning or flavor. They were out of chicken and bacon. Granted the dfw freeze probably impacted deliveries. I don't eat cow, so I only had the option of a salad or cheese fries. I close the later. Expensive experiment. Bathrooms are gross. Fried onion Way under cooked. Hard pass. read more

Definitely enjoyed this little place. Burgers were excellent and fair pricing. A good place to stop when in town for the Cowboys game.

Somehow my burger was cold and RAW in the middle... The pattie was broken which made the sandwich fall apart. Wasn't good Fries were hand cut just right but not hot!!! read more

Usually very good. I tried the buffalo this time and wasn't feeling it. The meat seemed over cooked. Could have been the fact that it was buffalo. At any rate, next time I'll get beef or turkey. Service was great, and the food came out very quickly. I do recommend the drinks here! The sodas are wonderful. All natural and non-GMO. They also taste great!!! read more

The burgers were excellent! Cooked to perfection and juicy. The fries were good. We tried the friend green beans and carrots. Odd but good too! Only drawback is the onion rings on the burger were quite over salted. read more

Excellent burgers with really good gluten free buns! Well worth a drive to eat here.

While I have tended to think of Twisted Root as a place I can get more than just a regular burger, my friends, family, and I have all grown to dislike it compared to other options. My last visit was really a disappointment. The burger I ordered was not what I expected based upon the menu description. read more

The reviews were great, so we figured this would be a great new place to try. Here's what you need to know: do not waste your time or money. You can pay the same or less and getter a better burger from Chapps or Kincaid's. My burger, ordered with swiss, bacon, fried egg, and Hatch green chiles was as disappointing as they come. It wasn't hot. The cold bun, barely showing signs of any toasting, disintegrated before I was halfway through. The egg was fried to a crisp, yolk broken, and dried out. And...there appeared to be less than a tablespoon of green chiles on my burger. The meat was not seasoned, but it was greasy. The menu is completely uninspired. Burgers & three salads are all you will find. Yes, they have small, expensive shakes. The bacon & cheese fries were okay, but a bit greasy. The sweet potato chips (btw...the cashier corrected us when we "mistakenly" asked for sweet potato fries, are served cold. They would be good if they were warm. The place is trying to be kitschy. It doesn't work. I don't want to sit on metal folding chairs. I don't really need to know that the founders met in culinary school...which is where they should have learned to invest in quality buns for their lukewarm meat. I don't need my order called to me by a celebrity name. I am personally offended by having to squeeze my mayo from a packet. I will give them credit for trying to be unique with this over-engineered pickle thing. I could not care less. I don't "DO" pickles. Also, they claim to have hot dogs, but I did not see them anywhere on the menu. Did I miss it? My take...there are a plethora of burger places in DFW who are worth $10/burger. This is not one of them. Finally, an employee came by to clear our table & asked how everything was. "Lousy," I answered. She said she hoped we'd come back. I told her it was not likely, and her only response was, "Okay." It concerns me that she would not have even asked what was wrong. She picked up my paper box, and should have been able to tell by the weight alone that half a burger was still in there. read more

The pickles are all yummy, the vegan burger for me was sooo good. My moms bison burger was really good and the fries are a must!

The beautiful and gracious number one lady and I were returning from an extended return to our former stomping ground. The airline schedule included a layover at DFW and I am willing to just fly back after discovering Twisted Root Burger Co! Located in terminal A near gate 29, I found burger heaven. Having selected the Kevin Bacon burger I was impressed with the flavor, bacon and the blue cheese ..... did I mention the blue cheese!? My lady had a BBQ themed burger that was excellent. The onion rings were fresh, crispy and sweet and were actual rings.not bits and pieces that are typically called 'rings'. The surprise lucky strike extra was the pickle bar offering FREE hot, sweet, bread & was butter, gherkin sliced pickles...did I mention FREE! It is a really big dill! If you have a layover in DFW, beeline it to Twisted Root Burger Co. You'll leave very satisfied... read more

Wonderful menu. Great customer service and fast. Our burgers were perfect!!! Great funky atmosphere with good AC on hot afternoon.

We are always game for new places (new to us)! Had our meal here before going to see a Rangers game. (Very convenient too). Had the Western burger, fries and onion rings. All were amazing! Most intriguing were the barrels of pickles! YES! You read that right. I said barrels. There were 4 barrels of pickles. (Dill, Sweet & spicy, Ranch, Atomic and Bread & Butter) This a a fantastic opportunity to try something different and maybe new! read more

Great place to be! Great burgers, fry's,rings, pickles, and drinks. I would eat there every week. Can't wait to go back.

Very very good place to eat at. I've been craving it for a very long time but they closed the spot near me. Kinda unfortunate what happened to them. I hope they can recover cause I need me a Twisted Root Burger Hot Garbage Meter: 1/10 read more

Delicious burger, friendly folks, good price! What more could you want?!? Love love love their Turkey burgers!

Just had the worst experience with this place via Grub Hub. They took my order, my money, made a conscious decision to deliver half my order and rather than either the restaurant or Grub call and tell me they did not have half of what I paid for and what they took out of my account, just delivered m a cold burger (Grub Hub driver lost and taking directions from me as she is looking for ANOTHER address). The driver did not bother to tell me that she only had half my order as I walked downstairs to meet her. However, she lied and said I only had to call the restaurant and order a replacement item for the other half. I contact the restaurant, and of course, it's all Grub Hub's fault. No, they were not going to send a replacement order. The moral is NO more Cold, Mediocre Twisted Root Burgers, and NO more Grub Hub. read more

Burgers were good and hot, potato cracklins were crispy. Soda was a bit too sweet and milkshake was alright. 4.5/5 stars but we rounded up for good measure. Good experience, manager checked on table too. Chipotle Ketchup on table is good on anything. They also have a pickle bar to choose your pickle slices. read more

First time here. I had the Kevin Bacon burger and it was delicious. The bacon on it was cooked perfectly. I hate when you get a burger that has bacon that is all chewy and not crisp at all. This was not the case whatsoever! The meat was juicy and flavorful, not over cooked and the blue cheese was a nice contrast to the meat and bacon. I love the barrels of the different flavors of pickles. The dill is still the winner for me. My boyfriend tried all the different ones and liked the sweet and spicy the best. The restaurant has fun names for the burgers and named after celebrities. You also get a celebrity "number" for your table which is fun to see the different names & faces. We had Ben Stiller & Kevin Durant. I did notice quite a bit of references to Chuck Norris all throughout the place. Especially in the restrooms! I did enjoy reading all the quotes. read more

As a celiac, there's not a lot of places where I can go to eat without worrying about being gluten'd. Twisted Root? You can count on good food *and* not getting sick. Their GF buns are pretty luxe, so it's nice to not pay an upcharge for friggin' Udi's. It does get soggy toward the end of your burger, which I don't fault Twisted Root for because GF breads tend to disintegrate. It was a tasty bun and I didn't feel like I was deprived or missing out. Before starting my order, the server checked with me to make sure that I had an actual intolerance, so I got the special "no gluten" frier for my fries. Little things like that mean a lot. Plus, it's nice that their normal french fries don't have wheat, as it's a common filler to add to the coating of a fry to make it more crunchy. They have a huge selection of meats; I stick with the basic hamburger because I'm not super adventurous. It's a damn good patty, though, and they'll cook it medium rare if you ask. PS: their root beer is the bomb dot com read more

Super cool joint! The place was packed and the food was delicious. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was I didn't think the house soda was up to the hype. The burgers were great though. They had a large selection to choose from (bison, turkey, etc) and the sauces were excellent. I recommend this place if you're ever in Arlington. read more

Twisted Root, how dangerous you are. The build my own burger option was a treat. Thanks for being so welcoming! My coworker had let the cashier know this was my first time ever to this place, but the employees gave great recommendations (I'm still on the fence about the buffalo) I created a burger with pepperjack cheese, bacon & on Texas toast. Also ordered a side of the "Treat Yo Self" fries.. more bacon, melted cheese & jalapenos. I COULD FEEL MY ARTERIES CLOGGING but there was no stopping me. Filling for sure! I loved the coolers for seats, famous names in place of order numbers & the pickles! The atomic was not on my list to try tho. I will be returning on more than one occasion before departing Texas!! read more

Good atmosphere and good variety of burger options. Front cashiers had MAJOR attitude problems. Very short and unfriendly. Also loved the constant eye rolls one gave me and other customers. Will not be coming back to this location. Sucks that a experience was ruined by 2 employees when it looked like all the other employees seemed to busting their ass. Also prepare to wait 20-30 mins for your food even when it's not that busy. read more

This place is amazing! From the food to the decor it's all worth a trip. I got the Freshman 15 and it was amazing with the smashed fries on it. I also got the Oreo shake and it was like eating a vanilla cloud with Oreos mixed it. Truly a heavenly experience. The music playing matched the mood perfectly and wasn't too loud that you couldn't enjoy conversation. Oh, and the house pickles were amazing! read more

I love the way this place looks. Its so cool my nerd bones start tingling when I come in. Theres plenty of protein options and toppings. I've ordered a Kevin Bacon and the Western. If its got cheese and bacon, I'm ordering it. I think you can't go wrong with bleu cheese and bacon so I'd say I preferred the Kevin. We've gone twice and each time my burger was so far past well done, it was great done. They're giant so I don't understand how that happens when med rare is requested. Theyre somehow still juicy and greasy. Ive tried the treat yourself fries and regular fries and I think I prefer the regular because they are crispy squared. Parking is tight up front, but theres usually room in the back. Full bar and a few beers on tap if you need some happy sauce with that burger. The service is friendly. I love the giant burger, yummy topping bonanza concept, I just wish the burgers were less done and seasoned. read more

I was visiting Arlington last month and had heard amazing things about TRB. When we walked in we were greeted with some very interesting decor. Pickup truck doors, a camper, and some tailgate coolers that made up booth seats. I enjoyed the casual vibe and of course that this restaurant is a part of Diners Drive-Ins and Dives royalty. The cashier could tell we had never been there before and walked us through the menu. He was such an amazing help! I loved that there were exotic meat choices! I'll have to come back when Camel is available. The create your own burger let me get all my favorites. The fries were so tasty and of course when I think of burgers I have to get a beer to go with it. I thought it was a cool touch that instead of calling out numbers when your order is ready you are assigned famous movies. We waited patiently for "Pretty Woman" to be called over the speaker. The picnic table seating was a great addition. I did not leave anything on my plate. It was so delicious! read more

Friday, July 20th, 2018, 5:30 pm Stopped in before a Rangers game. The American Freedom patty melt on toast was pretty good. Topped full of onions and a wonderful sauce. Burger wasn't much but the onion rings, sauce, and toast made up for it. The Fat Elvis Sunday must be ordered by all newbies-- it is awesome. Bar is clean and offers standard beers and some crafts. They get four stars simply because the burger meat was plain-Jane. They have Elk and Bison meat too; I should try those next time. read more

This is not your typical burger joint. The flavor that they produce in a burger the phenomenal. I had the mushroom burger. It was great; the ingredients were fresh. Also, a good thing was the hand-cut fries were perfectly cooked. There is also a kids menu that is simple and gets the job done for the kids. Lastly, the sauces and pickles are a game-changer. Their many options, so my best was the butter pickles. The flavor was spot on. I recommend giving this place a try. read more
