The atmosphere will entertain you just as delicious as the food will satisfy you. It's Texas so I didn't go with ordinary beef I paid the extra dollar for le wagyu beef, when you bite into this juicy flavorful burger you'll know where the extra is. Staff is super polite and if you need to order a round of drinks just text your order the managers have the iwatches and will get your order out faster than you can say "Chuck Norris roundhouse". If you like a theme and delicious food don't hesitate to check it out, you will not be disappointed. P.s. the Fat Elvis is sooooo good no wonder it's a house specialty. read more

Totally unacceptable waiting 2 HOURS for 3 burgers!! Half of the restaurant left and we still waited over an hour once ordered! 2 stars because the burger was good as usual but the onion strings were so salty we had to toss. We also waited in line for 40 minutes for a margarita. I get staffing could have been an issue but this was just shameful! Especially knowing the AT&T center was sold out for Garth Brooks! Poor management. read more

So good! And the pickle bar is amazing! Anything on the menu is good but a must have is the chocolate milkshake

Whoo!! Was with a five some and no one liked their burgers. Self and son had the Wagyu. Main problem was they all were undercooked, Emphasis on "all". Two sent back and my bad for not. The beer was cold and they had plenty to select from. The service was very good and staff extremely friendly. Will go back and simply chalk up as a bad day. read more

So glad we stopped here after our tour of AT&T Stadium and before we headed back to the airport. It was 2pm on a Monday afternoon and the area was nearly a ghost town. We weren't even sure they were open, but we are glad we walked in! Such a fun atmosphere and the food was tasty. I had the All-American burger and loved it. The truffle fries and fried pickle chips were a great addition, too. A perfect way to close out our trip to the Dallas area. Thank you, Twisted Root! read more

This location is down the street from UTA so I have been coming here a few times. This place never disappoint! I would give this place atleast a 4/5 for sure Decor-- 7/10 - It feels kind of of a traditional western location - Has table both indoor and outdoor - Pet friendly! The employees actually came and played with my puppy for quite some time -Downside is that the restroom here is so old & not in the best shape Service-- 9/10 - This is a self serve restaurant where you order and pick up - Staff are very friendly and seems passionate about their jobs especially whenever they announce the order which is a super hero/movie character I Food-- 8/10 -the burgers here are great! Always filling because of the large portion - Has condiments/pickles/etc on the outside - I would recommend the Westerner Burger! It hits the spot with the amount of bacon in it - It is a bit pricy for burgers though Would I come back? Yes! Not regularly but from time to time read more

Good burger and beer. Atmosphere is nice and relaxing which is just what we were after. Go stop by and enjoy yourself.

Stop here on my way to Dallas for some lunch! This is a fun place to frequent with friends, family, or even larger groups! The ordering system is super cute. The menu is great. The burgers are delicious. I love their pickle bar and the various flavored pickles to eat and sample. read more

3 stars- in hopes that future visits will be better. I'm a frequent customer at this location, I love the atmosphere and food. I usually always leave here happy and satisfied. However, these past 2 visits were somewhat disappointing. I always order the Freshman 15 burger which has bacon and eggs on it. 2 visits ago, the bacon tasted like rubber so I took it off my burger. During my last visit, the bacon was cooked just right and I actually enjoyed my burger...until the last half of it. Oh my gosh. My bun accidentally fell of my burger and as I was about to place it back on top I saw a small strand of hair under the layer of the egg. I lost my appetite right then and stopped eating. My friend, who got the same burger, also lost her appetite and we left. I should've said something to the cashier but I was in a rush. Ugh, I love this place so much but these past couple visits have been so disappointing. Please fix this! read more

Another bookmark down! I've heard so many good things, I'm happy I finally got around to coming in. Aside from the exotic burgers and delicious combinations, can we talk about their pickle bar?! I mean, I'm always down for a good pickle, but an array of different kinds at my disposal? My pickle was tickled! Of course i had to try their 'spicy' pickle. Not spicy for me. But still delicious. Their wasabi was my favorite. The concept is also fun; I love being named Garth Brooks for a second. Next time, I want to be Beyoncé. Their staff was very friendly. I'll have to come in for a drink next time and more pickles! read more

We finished a stadium tour and wanted a local place to eat. This was close and fit the bill. We found parking okay, even though there was construction. Inside was great. Loved the Chuck Norris theme !! We had a vegetarian, bison and regular burger. All of us finished and kinda wanted seconds. The fries and onion straws were delicious. Overall, going to be thinking about this place here in Vegas. read more

So so sad, my favorite place has gone down in quality: this is the second try in a couple of weeks: the burgers weren't very good. Hubby + I had the loaded mushroom burger. Mine had 4 small slivers of mushroom (definitely not loaded by any stretch of the imagination), the meat of the burger was thin, so much smaller than in the past, very dry or over cooked, the bun was very big + very good and so were the fries but I won't go back. Too many other choices. Going to miss their bread + butter pickles. Too bad they don't sell them in jars. They would be worth it. read more

I actually went to the Bedford location just to verify before my review. I give 2 stars for the real sugar soda and the pickle barrels. As for the burger it was a huge disappointment. This place has been on my list for a while and I was super excited to have a lunch date with my husband and check it out. Well, my biggest problem was that we were looking forward to the bite-into-a-burger-grease-drip-down-your-chin experience. Nope! Totally preformed and flavorless beef patties! The main part of a burger was the complete let down. Sucks! And the packets of Mayo and mustard? Why? If the public can serve themselves from the pickle barrels then why can't the cooks put on the Mayo or mustard? Oh well, at least I can mark it off of my list. read more

This place gets an A for sure with their burgers! We were on our way to Six Flags and made a pit stop here, and boy, were we glad! When you walk inside, it feels like you just stepped into a trailer park. There's a giant RV parked in the middle and the seating is backyard tables. You put your order in at the front then take a seat with your musician coaster to hang. The burgers to choose from are fun and different. We ordered the freshman 15 and the enough said burger. Prices are reasonable at about $9 a burger. When the food arrived, the portions were pretty darn good. My first bite was pretty tasty, but, it was a little dry. All of the flavors definitely made up for it being a bit overcooked. We added the root beer bbq sauce and the spicy ketchup to the burgers, which escalated the flavors. Overall, this is a great burger place, but next time I'll ask for the burger medium. read more

I had been looking forward to visiting Twisted Root for a long time and was not disappointed! To order, you simply walk-up to the counter, place your order, grab your order name and pick your order up when your order name is called. The order name card made me laugh because your name can range from Darth Vader to Nicole Kidman! Sides, including fries, are a la carte but there is a wonderful fountain drink selection, milkshake selection, and beer and cocktail selection. The burgers are made with a twist, elevating the classic American burger combination of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, patty and bun. I was impressed with the casual atmosphere which provided a lot of visual detail for my eyes to wander around. A RV camper serves as a bar backdrop, makeshift port-o-potties serve as extra bathrooms, and there is a whole wall of truck tailgates complete with bumper stickers and cooler seating. read more

I went one evening after work. I had skipped lunch so I was starving and my eating time window was closing. I ordered the turkey burger with a fried egg on top and it was perfect. The condiments and pickle bar were pretty amazing also. Nice nice spot. It will be in the burger rotation. read more

Twisted Root is another tragedy of the douche bags of Yelp, the over critical. I love a local burger joint just as much as the next guy, but I still love Twisted Root and I like this location even more. Arlington needed this, a joint with a great venue, a big bar, loads of seats and some great garage doors. Sure, the burgers are a bit expensive, but they back it up with flavor. Get whatever their burger of the month is, probably $8, add the fried green beans for $3 and snag their drink special. Well worth it. So glad they put this in Arlington. read more

Excellent food for the money. Large portion and very filling. Unique flavors and unusual options to choose from. I will definitely be back.

Came here the other day, this was my first time a Twisted Root. The interior is pretty cool, a Winnebago as the bar, the randomly timed to the specific minute happy hour, the handed written signs, lawn chairs, a port-a-potty, coolers as chairs and truck ends hanging up on the walls. The burgers were good too, we had the spicy goat and big tex plus bacon. We made our own cheese fries, the pickle bar was cool too. Their house BBQ sauce and chipotle ketchup were tasty. read more

Twisted roots just cant seem to win me over completely...I dont like their burgers so I thought I try their grill cheese this time. Grill cheese is suppose to be hot for the grill cheese to be gooey. It wasnt...it was cold and greasy. I ate the bacon and tomato that was inside of the sandwich and threw the rest away. I did try their fried ride basket full of fried stuff this time and that was delicious. Be sure to share or else you'll get sick of eating too much oil. I also had their watermelon root beer this time and that was delicious! way better than the watermelon ice tea. So stick to root beer! this place is way over rated and I'm over it! read more

I have been to this location a lot of times since it is one of the only food options in Downtown Arlington and is conveniently located around the corner from Hooligans Pub and Kool Keg which I go to often and they only serve beverages. So my thing with this location is that it is a hit and miss in regards to consistency and what kind of service or atmosphere it is going to be. I've gotten burgers that had great flavor and others that were so bland and sad. The last time I visited I splurged and got the Buffalo and it was really great so I may stick with that going forward. They said they had Wagyu available when in reality it was sold out. They definitely should have had it marked off on their meat options for the day cause I specifically chose the "Le Wagyu" burger and had to figure out what I wanted when I was at the register and there was quite a long line behind me. My dad ordered the Oreo Custard Shake and it wasn't even cold. It had been melting already when it was ready for us and was only halfway filled with the shake. The rest of it was just whip cream. It was very disappointing. He got "The Verde" and I ended up getting the shroom burger with caramelized onions added additionally. I couldn't even taste his hatch green chiles that were supposed to be on there and my additional caramelized onions were almost non-existent. Both of us left pretty unimpressed and my dad said he would not go back. I have been there at times when things were really solid, but I think the consistency is why I will stick with the 3 stars. Again, it's not terrible food and I will eat there because of the fact it is the only option if I am Downtown, but it is not something I will go out of my way to spend my money on. There are much better burger joints around. read more

Decent sized burgers with a variety of combinations. Twisted Root sells milkshakes, cheddar fries, and hot dogs too. The patty meat is half a pound so it fills you up. Compared to Five Guys, the burger isn't as juicy but it's still full of flavor. It's a self serve place so you get your order when they call out the name on your ticket. All burgers come with a piece of lettuce and and an onion. Other condiments are on the table. This isn't a fancy place or anything it looks like a backyard set up. Pretty quiet and laid back. read more

So I have been her Trice so far. Each trip has not been disapointing. Chilli Cheese Burger, Verde Burger & Cheese Burger. Of those 3 the best to me was the chilli cheese one. Excellent patty size with right amount of chilli & guacamole. Enough to be messy, but not Hella messy. Sweet Potato chips are hella good, crispy with a little brown sugar sprinkling. Dipped in there AMAZING Ancho - Chipotle Ketchup. Shit anything dipped in that ketchup is where it's at! Also have tried 2 shakes. Coconut Cream Pie & Toasted Marshmallow Smores. Deffinetly recommend the Smores. Don't be alarmed by the burnt mellows, it works with the overall flavor. read more

Always been a fan of Twisted Root when they started out in Deep Ellum. Now they are a bit more accessible however still haven't moved to Ft Worth proper, however I'm sure it's because Ft Worth is already inundated with burger joints. This location attached to a Hooligans next door where I was prior before going next door to grab some food to bring back over to the bar. Convenient for all the drunks. Their menu has a nice selection of exotic meats which they have I believe one per day. Order at the counter and pick it up yourself kinda service. Treat yo self at the pickle bar. They even have a real bar where the taps are attached to an RV which is pretty cool. I opted for a Wagyu Kevin Bacon burger which comes with 3 slices of bacon and bleu cheese. It was good! Burger patty and bacon was just the right amount of salty and the bleu cheese was bleu! Fries were good too. For just, burger and fries will run you around $12-$15. read more

My fav place to grab a Bison burger. The food is always cooked to order and they have the most amazing pickle bar ever- grab one of each just to try. They have a full bar and different drink specials everyday- they place gets super packed so get there early to snag a seat by the bus- yes- there is a BUS inside that serves as the back counter of the bar. If you aren't having an adult beverage- go for the Watermelon Tea or Peanut Butter Shake- you wont be disappointed. read more

Kind of overrated, and a bit pricey. Granted, their banana custard shake was the best I've ever had. And, granted, they do have some pretty weird meat flavors that you wouldn't normally find in your normal everyday burgers (ie: Venison, Elk, Lamb, Ostrich, Kangaroo, Emu, Boar, Alligator), everything else is kinda meh. Not that it was disgusting, but for it being a $34 meal (two burgers 'drinks included', a shake, and chili cheese fries), I would expect something that tastes amazing and unique. Instead, I got a burger that I can probably buy at Smashburger or Five Guys minus the price tag. It wasn't as flavorful as I expected. GET THE BANANA CUSTARD. It redeemed these guys from the semi-mediocre overpriced burger and service! I did enjoy reading the Chuck Norris quotes in the lady's room, though (Chuck Norris makes onions cry. Chuck Norris eats crayons and paint, and poops out masterpieces). I also enjoyed how they called your order by famous people and movie names (we were the Dark Knight, and the table next to us was David Hasseloff...hehehaawhaww). read more

Great burgers and fries! We had the All American burger and a build your own burger (beef, cheddar, and avocado slices). Burgers were nicely cooked, not over cooked or dry. Our sides were onion strips and fries. Nicely crisps and hot. Their signature "mule" is refreshing and hit the spot, especially for $5! read more

We came here to visit while my boyfriends brother was in town so it was nice to go and enjoy it for the first time with family. The day we came was Fourth of July, so it was nice that it wasn't so crowded and we could just chill and eat our burgers. I ordered the Big Tex it was $8.49 and the Enough Said $7.49 (we shared and split half and half so we could try both). I thought that was kind of a lot for just the burger by itself. You had to add on fries that were $1.99 for regular and $2/99 for melted cheese on another. Overall everything was good the girl at the cashier was nice, the food was pretty good just little pricey for what it was. read more

Loved the décor and the food was amazing as well. Next time I am back in Arlington, I will for sure stop by.

My bf and I have eaten here around 5 times and each time it's great. The meat is always cooked medium well and the fries are always seasoned to perfection. The service is great and they have a clean restaurant. I always order a regular 1/2 lb burger with cheddar cheese this time I added bacon. And it was even better! read more

It's a ok burger, didn't like standing in line. I have had much better hamburgers else where and at a more relaxed enjoy your food and conversation setting. Twisted Root in Deep Ellum has always been one of our go-to's for burgers. We went to the Arlington location last night. Are you sure these are the same chain cause we were not impressed with our food. I don't know if they started the "medium well" recently but the "pink" they informed us of did not exist. I ate half and only because I paid for it and I was hungry. The cheese fries were burnt as well. I live in Texas so I can have my red meat the way I want it. Back to JR Bentleys. This place is the best. The workers are hilarious, and they have a great gluten free bun. It's the tastiest thing I've ever tasted.

I've been here many times since attending UTA and I've now realized I haven't been ordering the burgers medium rare like the idiot I am. They are ALWAYS cooked medium well which to me are a bit too dry. Do your self a favor and order them medium well and it'll taste 10x better. Lots of different burger selections for you to choose. Homemade pickles are to die for especially bread and butta. Milkshakes are delicious as well! read more

I would give five stars, but the ordering line seems more focused on moving bodies through than enhancing the initial experience here. One of the better places in Arlington to get a burger. I've tried the lost Mexican and the western and they were both delicious, the western was more juicier with the bacon. They also have buffalo meat for a $4 upgrade and veg patties for vegetarians. Another thing I wanna go back to check out is the 'literally hot dog', its a foot long hot dog with habanero peppers and Pico. They also serve beer here, I just feel it's a tad bit too pricy. $3 for a 12 oz can, you decide! The place is huge with an outdoor seating area which feels quiet cozy. The indoors are open too. I went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. I had to wait about 12-15 mins for my burger which turned out to be worth the wait. I did not like that they charge for ranch dip. Although it is a merge 75 cents I still feel they can include it in the price for the burgers. If you haven't been here, it's worth giving a shot. Enjoy your burgers :) read more
