Mediocre brunch, but beautiful setting with great service! My family and I stopped by for brunch before exploring the Stockyards. I love how Texas the restaurant feels! Perfect place to bring out of town guests. For brunch, we got the Tostadas and the French Toast. The Tostadas were just ok -- I felt they were lacking in flavor. The French Toast was delicious! I'd be willing to come back and try some other menu options!
Came in for brunch while visiting Fort Worth with my daughter. The restaurant space and attached hotel (Hotel Drover) are spectacular. Absolutely stunning! Everyone we interacted with from the hostesses to servers were friendly and attentive. This is clearly a well managed operation! Now the food...wow!! Catch of the day Ceviche was amazing. Fresh guacamole was perfection. I got a 7 oz center cut filet which was cooked perfectly (medium rare). My daughter got the ribeye cap steak salad which was also delicious. Highly recommended! Will definitely return for another great meal when back in the area.
I had a wonderful experience here for the Christmas Day brunch with my family. Everything from the service to the food was exceptional. The hotel is immaculately decorated for Christmas during this time of year which is such a magical ambiance. We booked the brunch a month in advance via Open Table as we were staying in the hotel for Christmas Eve. Our table was ready upon arrival and the food was brought out promptly once we placed our orders. They have a prix fixe menu so, you pay a set cost for three courses. I ordered the pickled deviled eggs and lobster omelette. Both were wonderful. In fact, it was so much food, we had to take our leftovers and the last course to-go! My husband and I enjoyed the experience so much, we plan to return for other celebrations. Our waiter Avery was training and amazing! He really made the experience extra special. Our table was a little wobbly and he quickly fixed it. He was also super attentive and made sure we enjoyed our meal.
The restaurant, dining and surrounding areas are beautiful! The food was just ok... First of all the menu is very "vanilla". None of the items stood out to me. They're all very "safe" choices. My steak was cooked like I requested (rare filet). It tasted fine, nothing to write home about. I do like the mashed potatoes, this was probably the best thing I ate all night. 97 West is your typical American Cuisine establishment. You can get the same tasting food at other similar restaurants. You come here for the aesthetics which are top notch.
The food and service were amazing. My waiter was very nice and on top of things. Was welcomed by a manager as well and asked if everything was to my liking. They also comped my dessert since it was my birthday. The ambiance is amazing, very high end western look with cow house stools and copper tables at the high tops. Prices are not near as much as you'd expect. Definitely will return!
I've always wanted to go into the Dover Hotel because it's so beautiful, and I always see people having a hoot on their back patio. A visit to 97 West Kitchen & Bar was just the excuse I needed! It's gorgeous inside -- the vibe is cozy and cute -- and it was surprisingly busy for a Thursday evening. I had the fried green tomatoes and the steak and tomatoes "salad." I say "salad" in quotes because, although it's listed under salads, my waitress immediately told me it doesn't actually come with greens (though she said I could add lettuce if I wanted, lol). Nevertheless, it was wonderful! I loved the pickled onions, blue cheese, and sweet bread croutons -- and the fried green tomatoes came topped with pickled beets, which was such a nice touch. Our server was lovely, and overall it was a delightful experience. I can't wait to go back -- maybe next time I'll sit out on that patio!
I came here with my family on my birthday and it was nothing short of amazing. Started off with the bacon...drippings over jalapeño cornbread...how can it get more Texas than that?! We were there for lunch so I got the Wagyu tri tip for my entree. Moist and perfectly cooked. The ambiance was perfect especially in January right after the holidays. Gorgeous Christmas decorations everywhere. Our waiter was very attentive. We did valet instead of parking in the Stockyards parking lot which is well worth it as we walked around town after lunch. Highly recommend this spot especially if you're visiting from out of town!!!
We had this place in our bucket list for while and I'm so glad we finally pulled the trigger and tried it. We had a recreation and got seated right away upon checking in. From the moment we sat down to when we laid the service was fantastic! Our waitress made sure we had everything we needed as well as gave us some great recommendations to try. The food itself was incredible- my personal favorite was the ribeye steak which was perfectly cooked and tender. The whole restaurant has such a great vibe and is beautifully decorated. It's perfect for date night or family dinner --10/10 recommend trying!!
No brunch menu since a Friday. This was the breakfast menu. Had the chilaquiles which was good but a little boring compared to some I've had--not bad though. Would go back and try some new things.
What a fantastic place - they had everything : great food , atmosphere , decor you name it. We shared some appetizers (the cheese and meat platter was excellent ) and for entry I got the New York steak which came in perfectly medium cooked . Meat quality felt very high . The cocktails (old fashioned ) were very good as well . It a cheap place but if you want a classic place in the old western decor that's the place for you !
Great restaurant, service, and ambiance. Food was so delicious we will be back. We had a party of 6 and our waitress was great!
This place has good points and bad points. The atmosphere of this place is amazing. Our waitress was really good even though she was a little green. You can tell she was trained well. Had the Corn Beef Hash Benedict and the Ranch Hand Breakfast. The Ranch Hand was really good with nicely cooked scrambled eggs, perfect bacon and very good pepper gravy. The Corn Beef Hash Benedict was a good with a nice hollandaise, and the potatoes were incredibly good. My only knock on this place is the biscuits are incredibly dry. The fact that tops and bottoms were brown but not crispy is a sign they had been sitting in a warmer for to long. This place is a decent place for breakfast, hopefully they fix the biscuits.
First, let me start off that I made a reservation. My table was ready immediately greeted by the nicest people upfront, and it was super busy.. We opted to go for straight up meat and potatoes. Let me tell you the Wagyu ribeye Tomahawk was the bomb the meat melted in your mouth and they also give you tons of their potatoes and all the sauces that you can try. I personally had a bone out ribeye and I opted for the garlic Demi glaze. You have to get the Demi glaze. It's simply amazing. I could probably drink the whole freaking thing. Every person at our table was trying to steal my demiglaze. The meat was simply the most tender juicy thing I've ever had. I don't think they need to give me even a steak knife to cut this. It was flavorful tender, and the best cooked steak I've ever had. We will be back after I get out of my meat coma. read more
After drinks at Hotel Drover, we decided to stay on property and grab lunch at 97 West Kitchen & Bar and I'm very glad we did. First, major credit to Avery and Nancy, who were incredibly kind and patient considering we arrived fairly close to the end of lunch service before the restaurant closed for its afternoon break. We never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. I started lunch by ordering another cocktail (which may or may not have had me buzzing a little by this point) along with the 12 oz. prime rib steak served with buttery herb mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and chimichurri sauce. I'll admit, the steak was thinner than I expected for Texas (I sort of anticipated a Flintstones-sized slab of beef) but honestly? It was fantastic. Juicy, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth tender and cooked perfectly! The mashed potatoes were rich and even the vegetables were great! My dining companions ordered a bit lighter fare, I believe a salad and grilled cheese, but I was far too focused on my steak situation to pay close attention. I left absolutely stuffed and very, very, very happy about it. The atmosphere here is upscale without feeling pretentious. Between the Western inspired decor and the relaxed energy of the Stockyards area, it feels welcoming. Also worth noting: apparently bachelorette parties featuring men in cow-print overalls are welcome here too, so truly something for everyone. Great service, great food, and a really enjoyable dining experience overall. I'd happily come back the next time I find myself in Fort Worth! read more

My girl friends and I had to try out this swanky restaurant in our hotel! Breakfast charcuterie board so fun and great for sharing! Yummy as well! Cinnamon roll was gooey and delicous as well. Great service and ambiance. read more
Absolutely love this place! Located inside the Drover Hotel at the Stockyards, this restaurant is an experience from start to finish. The food is incredible--especially the charcuterie board, which was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. I also tried their spicy margarita and it might just be the best I've ever had--perfectly balanced with just the right amount of kick. Parking can be a bit tricky in the area, but they do offer valet, which makes things much easier. Between the atmosphere, the service, and the unforgettable food and drinks, this spot has easily become one of my favorites in Fort Worth. Highly recommend! read more
Breakfast is my favorite at this Hotel Drover restaurant. Their gluten-free banana foster French toast is delicious! The service is always top notch and the decor is classy Texan, of course. We have enjoyed charcuterie boards, breakfast tacos and the ranch hand. read more

Had a great birthday dinner, the steaks were top notch perfect medium rare the tomahawk was very delicate will say a lot of fat in it but was worth it , service was great there was a tornado watch in the area offered some comfort that they had a cellar to evacuate to if needed, drinks were very well put for the night ! read more
Went here for Sunday brunch during the holiday season, and the place was beautifully decorated...had a cozy, Christmassy vibe. Our server was super sweet and gave some great recommendations. We tried the croissant chicken salad, which was surprisingly good. The bacon added a nice touch to the salad, but the croissant itself was a letdown. It was dry, didn't feel fresh, and missing that flaky, buttery texture you'd expect. Definitely needs improvement. Next up was the lobster omelette, and that was spot-on, no complaints there. Both dishes came with roasted potatoes on the side, and those were amazing! They said they were local, and I devoured every bite. To finish, I got the cucumber mint mojito, which was light, refreshing, and a perfect ending. Overall, I'd visit again, maybe for dinner next time, but they seriously need to step up their croissant game. Also, it's conveniently located next to the Stockyard, so valet parking makes it easy to explore the area before or after your meal. read more

The restaurant was beautiful. We waited around until 2p to eat just to realize they closed at 2p and opened back up at 5p. The menu looked amazing. We were greeted at the door. They have vegetarian options on the menu that I wanted to try. read more
Yee-haw, throw your best cowboy swag on and giddy up to 97 West for their ambiance. It's vibrant, beautiful and will make you feel like an electric cowboy! My best rec for getting the most out of this experience would be to go for a drink and dessert... their desserts hit the table like a calf run. Our table was like bunch of 4H kids trying to wrestle down a bite of our favorite one: Pecan Pie, Bread Pudding and Chocolate Mousse. The prize calf was definitely the Bread Pudding! It reminded us all of a fancy, delectable Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I'm still dreaming about going back to have round two of it. :D As far as drinks, I didn't get to try anything with alcohol but our sweet waitress had the bartender me a mocktail. It was quite refreshing! The staff seems to really care for your party. You can tell they want you to have the best time. Shout out to our server, Haley! She was an absolute pro with our large party. Going back? I don't think I'll go back for a full dinner, but dessert. LET'S RIDE! read more

Great atmosphere and people watching. We ordered the breakfast tacos. You get to pick two out of three options. It comes with roasted red potatoes. We got the BLTE & steak and egg. Next time we would get two BLTE. The steak & egg had no sauce and too much meat for breakfast. We also got croissant breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs on it instead of the over easy egg that would come on it. The sandwich comes with smoked salmon, which it had a lot on it! The service was good as well. Would come back for dinner sometime or grab a drink at the bar. read more

Exceptional brunch! I've been here a couple times and the latest visit was for brunch. You have to get sweet and spicy bacon... it comes with jalapeño cornbread that is soaking up the bacon juices (see pic). It was a table favorite. I had the chicken and waffles for my entree. It comes with a twist, herb waffle with fried chicken and gravy. The pickled okra slaw is chef's kiss. You can add the maple syrup to it as well. We had mimosas with our brunch. The service is always top notch and it's a fun restaurant atmosphere. The bar has tv's for Saturday football and it's always busy so I recommend reservations. read more

The food, ambiance and service were 10/10! Highly recommended, we went for brunch on a Sunday!! I had the tostadas and let me tell you...flavor explosion, your tastebuds will thank you! Also a must try is the sweet & spicy bacon served clothesline style over a mini loaf of jalapeño cornbread! read more

Decent restaurant with a great ambiance and good service. We enjoyed the higher end Texas feel yet big portions however food was just OK. Wouldn't get the deviled eggs again. The yolk isn't very creamy so this could be done better. Salmon was good although mild in flavor. Mushroom pappardelle was just average. Cheese was just put on top, not melted or anything which also indicated how Luke warm it was. Coworker said the ribeye was solid though. Would like to come back for drinks sometime. read more

I sat at the bar and was taken care of the best bartender - Maddie. She was so friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. The service was top tier. The cocktails she made were delicious. You can tell everyone else at the bar was also just as impressed by her. She made me the BEST margarita I have EVER had. I had the raspberry jalapeño margarita with a salted rim. It was much larger than I expected (which is great). It had a fresh strawberry flavor with the taste of the jalapeños with no heat. My friend and I split the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. To our surprise, the kitchen split the food for us on 2 plates, which was so kind. The food was soooooo good. The chicken was seasoned really well and the fries were fresh and crispy. read more
Located in Hotel Drover, this restaurant is great. It was a beautiful day so we enjoyed sitting on the patio. Our server was attentive and regularly checked on us. The menu was nice and I ordered the tacos - choosing the smoked brisket and the al pastor. I enjoyed both. My husband had the burger which I tried and it was awesome. I also ordered the Smokin' Marg which was delicious. The setting, service and quality of food and drinks made this a perfect choice. read more
Wanted a Saturday night reservation but you have to make them well in advance so we went for breakfast and took some out of town friends. Great food and great service! Two of us had the Lobster omelette, one had the Tex-Shuka and one the Ranch Hand Breakfast. All was great! The not spicy Bloody Mary was spicy and my husband's eggs were a little over but try the biscuits and gravy! Yummy! And just tour The Drover! It's amazing! I could never afford to stay there but worth the visit plus it's right by the Ft Worth Stockyards! read more

Agreed with some of the comments that state this place is just for the hype. Food gets 3 stars but service was 5/5! Our server Evan was fantastic. We ordered the hot chicken and biscuits which had no flavor so you definitely had to use the honey they provided. The avocado toast did have good flavor due to all the seasonings. The brunch burger was just okay and the red potatoes needed a seasoning. Very bland. The mahi tacos were good but not the best. read more
