We ended up coming to Polanco after being pretty disappointed with another spot nearby, and it turned our night around. It was a Saturday night, but the vibe here was much more chill. It wasn't overly crowded or loud, which made a huge difference. My husband and I could actually sit and have a conversation without having to yell over music...which was such a relief. The seating was comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the waitress was polite and attentive throughout our visit. Drinks were great--I ordered an espresso martini (well...more than one ), and they were all consistently good. Prices seemed pretty comparable to other places in the area, so no complaints there either. Overall, it was a much better experience and somewhere I'd definitely go back to for a date night. I ordered an Old Fashioned that was priced at $21, which already seemed steep given the drink itself wasn't particularly good. When I handed the bartender a $30 bill, I was told there was no change available, which felt unprofessional and questionable. When we tried to address it, someone who identified as the manager responded by saying, "we're a 5-star establishment, that's why our prices are high." That explanation didn't really justify the situation and came off as dismissive. What made things worse was the attitude from the staff--they acted as if we were in the wrong for even bringing it up. The whole situation left a bad impression and felt misleading. The one highlight of the night was the live music, which was excellent. Unfortunately, the service at the bar overshadowed everything else. I'd suggest others keep a close eye on their tab and be mindful when paying. read more

I visited Polanco for a sisters date recently. I was excited to check out this new restaurant in the downtown area. The restaurant itself is very well decorated with a high end ambiance. This is a great spot for a date night or drinks with the girls. We had a reservation, but we had to wait over 20 minutes before we were sat. Our waiter was nice, and did his best to explain the menu. Our food and drinks came in a timely manner. I had the vegetable enchiladas, which I enjoyed. After our meal, the server led us to their newly opened reggeaton club located on their bottom floor. Since it was new, there weren't many people there, but I can definitely see it becoming a hotspot during the summer. Overall I had a positive experience at Polanco and would visit again. read more

Update: after the response from PR person below, i wish i could give this place 0 or negative stars. It was a comical response at best and carried a tone of indifference and indignation. And you only remade one without apology and we still had 3 more that were never addressed. You should take care to have better customer service during and after experiences or you wont last long. Repeat customers is how you stay in business, there are only so many new ones... I had been super excited to try this restaurant. After missing the perfect reservation time a few weekends in a row, finally got a chance to try it about a month ago with my husband and another couple. I had high expectations given the price tag and dress requirements for the place. It started off great; but just ended very poorly. The good: The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant we're absolutely perfect. I expected the food to be the same way. The drinks were eclectic and poured well. Appetizers were also tasty and well presented. The (very) bad: The main courses, which were the most expensive part of the meal were very subpar at best. I ordered the salmon and my husband the steak. The other couple did the same. We ordered our salmon well done, and the steaks medium rare. The salmon came out medium rare and the steaks Well done. We push through it however, only eating the outsides of the salmon. One of the steaks was so well done however, he did have to ask they remake it. When we told them what might have been the issue, (that the chefs reversed the cooking temperatures), the manager who had brought the new steak over didn't even apologize for the confusion. You would've thought he would've at least comped the steak because that person had to wait quite a while to get their steak remade. It's not what we were expecting however, but an apology at the very minimum would have been nice. That experience is not what I'm used to when it comes to fine dining. I have been to ALL the high-end restaurants in Fort Worth and rarely does over or under cooking happen when youre spending $50+ a plate. The one time that it did happen about 5yrs ago at Capital Grille, the manager just took care of the meal. At any rate, the price tag does not fit the experience. For the price of this place everything is just meh. The decor and second floor seating was nice however the room was rather warm. The servers were trying hard to do a lot with service and did well but it just felt awkward. I was extremely disappointed in the food and drinks. I ordered the blood orange margarita which was mediocre and tasted extremely salty as the bartender had gotten a lot of the salt rim in the actual drink. The second drink I ordered the waiter recommended and described as mojito like and very refreshing but it was just overly sweet, I didn't even finish half of it. I expected the food to be upscale and fresh tasting but in reality it was all very heavy and fried. I tried the shrimp tacos which tasted so sweet you would have thought the shrimp were sugared before fried. I also tried the fish tacos which unfortunately came as cubed and fried chunks of fish. I was not expecting the fish to be fried at all. Both were very greasy and not what you would traditionally expect from a fish or shrimp taco. My table also tried the elote which had decent flavor but was very messy and only two cleansing towels for a table of 3 were provided. The best thing we ordered was the guacamole however it only came with 5 chips so of course we had to request more. Probably won't come back unless the concept changes read more

By the reviews I was very nervous when my husband surprised me with reservations here but I must say I was pleasantly surprised! Our servers Chloe and Gage were the best!! Came here for a late dinner with my wife. No reservations on a Thursday night, hostess' both downstairs and upstairs weren't sure what seating was available. We said we are going to get a drink at the bar, ended up seating ourselves and spending the entire evening here. The music was playing loud and it was nice to have such a beautiful view out the window in the entire restaurant. The appetizers, guacamole and ceviche, left much to be desired. Lack of presentation on Guacamole and ceviche was good not great. For entrees my Scallops were cooked perfectly and my wife's salmon was good as well. Very few options for glasses of wine on their menu but plenty of tequila as one would expect. Also the painters tape labeled 'Agave' on the outside of their plastic bottle in the bar did not give a high end feel as they advertise. Unfortunately, the service did not reflect that same level of quality. It took over 15 minutes to be greeted after being seated, and around 25 more minutes to receive a martini and a bottled beer. Our entrées came out separate at different times . Our appetizer was brought out after we had already finished our food. Ordered a second round of drinks and they brought out completely different drinks. I understand holidays can be busy, I remained patient and respectful. However, for the price point and the expectations set by the restaurant's presentation, I anticipated better.
