This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. We weren't necessarily looking for an upscale restaurant but we found one! The menu is rather interesting with Salmon, Sea Bass, Goat entre's and some massive steaks. The prices are upscale but it is a very elegant dining experience. Benjamin, our server delivered five- star recommendations and service. We dined on cactus, guacamole and Quetilia! Oh, that's Tequila! The house Margarita's are reeeeaaally good! And then there is the Tres Leches; probably the freshest and best I've ever had!

Stunning restaurant with modern, authentic Mexican cuisine! The ambiance on Don Artemio is gorgeous! The handmade clay pots and artwork are stunning. Our server was extremely friendly and very attentive! Apps: Nopalitos Fritos and Guacamole - Wow! Beyond delicious! Our server suggested we take one of their fresh blue corn tortillas, spread the guac, and add the Nopalitos on top -- truly the perfect bite! The Nopalitos were perfectly crunchy and had a lemony tang. Must order! Mains: Enchiladas Queso Queso and Chile Hojaldrado - The Enchiladas were out of this world. The mole was so deep and rich in flavor. I liked the Chile, but the Enchiladas was better! Dessert: Tres Leches -- you can't leave without trying this. So perfectly rich and sweet! 10/10 no notes!

Decided to go back to this lovely place for my birthday. Again the Service was first class and the food was phenomenal. Started with the Nopalitos Fritos and it was phenomenal again. Then I had the Chilean Sea Bass with the mole sauce. We ended with the deconstructed Tres Leches and the Chocolate Mousse which were both phenomenal as well. There is a reason this place is turning into a staple of Fort Worth.

Been wanting to go to this place for a long time, ever since moving to Fort Worth. I've heard lots of great things about it and now I understand why. I visited Mexico City not too long ago and this place is so authentic. First of all, our server, Jairo, is super good at selling everything. I wanted to order everything he described. Upon entering this place, it reminded me a lot of Mexico City, with the brick and the ceramics, and the lighting. Our appetizer was the guacamole with rib eye chicharron, nopales, and blue corn tortillas. The nopales were different than what we had in Mexico City. These were crunchy and had bacon in them. They were so delicious though. I like having different textures so the soft tortillas (handmade btw) and the guacamole with the crunchy nopales really hit the spot. We finished that app like we hadn't eaten all day. My main was the chilaquiles de pato. Even without tasting the duck and just the tortilla chips, it had the flavor of the duck in them. I love that they used thick tortilla chips for this because the thin tortilla chips that regularly come with chilaquiles always get soggy before the last bite. These stayed crispy up until the very end. The beans were smooth and very flavorful. My husband and mom had the huevos benedictinos. I had a bite and it was amazing. The chipotle hollandaise was smoky and I love the bitterness and sourness of the arugula that went with it. And because we were celebrating my birthday, we had dessert. We got the tres leches and they gave us the campachana for free! I think the campachana was better than the tres leches. Again, it had all the textures that I love so much. 100% would come here again. One of the better meals I've had in Fort Worth and a place definitely worthy of taking out-of-towners.

Visited Don Artemio in Fort Worth for the first time and I had an enjoyable experience overall with some small caveats. Key takeaways were the quality of the food and atmosphere. I was impressed with the flavors of the Chorizo tacos I ordered, the meat was seared beautifully and paired well with the seasonings added. Additionally I ordered a jalapeño margarita and while I am glad they were able to make one given it's an off menu drink, the price of the drink left me a bit speechless. It was $24 just for this cocktail alone which I thought was a bit steep. In regard to the ratio of portion sizes to cost I was not really impressed. I am glad I tried this place out, but will most likely look to other places next time I'm in Fort Worth.

First time going to Don Artemio a few weeks back for Mother's Day. My mom really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great as it was not extremely busy on Sunday for late brunch. The steak in the steak and eggs was amazing. We all had non alcoholic beverages and they did not disappoint! Desserts were also very delicious.

Stopped in on Sunday while waiting for Eddie V's down the road to open for dinner. Grabbed a quick seat at the bar, was told we caught their "happy hour" One cocktail was great; the other was extremely strong and honestly undrinkable. To their credit, they comped it without issue. Still, paying $25 for a happy-hour drink felt like a bit of a rip-off. The atmosphere was nice, and service stood out--we were greeted immediately both when we walked in and again at the bar.

Bit over hyped. Food was ok. Service was great and so was the ambiance Server was pushy and drove the bill up. Cactus appetizer, had the cabrito and wife had the pastry. We had a drink ranch and ,$256? No way maybe worth 120$ max

Great food and wonderful service from Stephen made our experience even better. The restaurant itself is elegant and classy, perfect for a nice night out. We each ordered a cocktail--the house margarita for my husband and the El Chihuahua for me--and both were excellent. For starters, we tried their famous Napolitos Fritos paired with guacamole and chicharrón de ribeye, which was incredibly flavorful. We also added the totopos, their house-made tortilla chips, and they were fresh and addictive. For entrées, I ordered the Chilean sea bass en Mole Negro while my husband went with the Costillas de Cabrito. Both dishes were well prepared and satisfying. The Costillas de Cabrito does require a bit of work to get the meat off the bone, but it's absolutely worth it--the flavor is outstanding. We were completely full, but I ordered the tres leches to go, and I'm so glad I did. It was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious, the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.

This place is great for dinner and dessert! Top notch, service, and great recommendations for food and wine by our server. Such a beautiful restaurant, & intimate for a date night!

Don Artemio serves wonderfully authentic, upscale Mexican dishes that are to die for! We made reservations for a party of 3 on a Wednesday evening, and by 7pm just about every table was filled. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated from the moment we walked up. Our waiter was very knowledgeable - we ended up ordering all of her recommendations and did not regret a single dish! I would order the nopalitos again and again! The quail was cooked perfectly and their mole is truly unremarkable. Highly recommend trying their Mexican red wine! I Will absolutely be coming back for their brunch menu, hopefully soon. 10/10!

Here for my sister's 80th birthday.

Another memorable visit and experience at Don Artemio's to celebrate my sister's 80th birthday. Don Artemio's is her favorite "destination" restaurant. The food and service are always stellar. Don Artemio's restaurant decor in a "feast for the eyes." So much of the decor has been imported from the region in Mexico the restaurant represents. Towards the back of the restaurant there is a very important wall you need to ask your servers about. The restaurant's provisions are also sourced straight from Mexico and local farms. Be sure to check out their website before you dine there. There is SO much history about the restaurant there. Words cannot describe the phenomenal experience you'll receive when you dine at Don Artemios. The minute you walk in, the restaurant exudes professionalism. The staff and management are top-notch.Our server, Alexis, took incredible care of our party while we were there, As mentioned, we were there to celebrate my sister's 80th birthday. My sister had already ordered several orders of hers, and our, favorite appetizer. It's an appetizer that I could easily devour 2-3 orders of accompanied by a couple of Don Artemio's Top Shelf Margaritas. Drum roll please! It's Don Artemio's signature appetizer, Nopalitos Fritos: Unique, tender-fried cactus tossed with bacon, served with heirloom house made blue corn tortillas to make tacos. After munching on the incredible Nopalitos Fritos, it was time to get down to business and move on to the main event, deciding on which entrees were were going enjoy. My wife decided on the Sopa Tarasca. it is a big bowl of slow cooked Michoacán tomato pasilla soup, table side pour over fried tortillas strips, queso fresco, zucchini, carrots, avocado dices. She also added grilled chicken to the dish. I decided to order one of Don Artemio's signature entrees , El Famoso "Chile Hojaldrado." It's a cream cheese pecan-stuffed poblano chile wrapped in puff pastry over house made tomato sauce. It is so decadent. After a nice wait to enjoy our drinks and meaningful conversation, our party's entrees arrived table side. Don Artemio's expert staff took care of ensuring each of the guests had the proper entree and asked if they had any questions. My wife loved her Sopa Tarasca and my , El Famoso "Chile Hojaldrado was SO delicious. During past visits I had gotten a taste of the Entree. But this time it was ALL mine. I didn't have to share it with anyone. Wits all that we had eaten would you think we needed dessert. Well, YES, it was a birthday celebration. My sister had already pre- ordered 5 separate serving of Don Artemino's Tres Leches del Desierto. It's a deconstructed tres leches dessert, ammonite shell ice cream all made at the restaurant. Before serving a pitcher of Tres Leches sauce is poured over it. Words can describe how delicious the dessert is. Our 2 plus hour visit was perfect! We never lacked for anything and were taken care of like royalty. Don Artemio, we'll see you again soon.

This restaurant is beautiful- great indoor and patio seating. We loved our classic & Smokey margaritas and I highly recommend coming here for drinks and appetizers. The appetizer selection is elite and delicious and our waitress provided helpful recommendations. This may be the best ceviche I have ever had! We also loved the cheese taquito/enchilada appetizer with mole and sweet potatoes. We did order entrees, but next time I will stick to appetizers! We will be back!

Only minor thing, there was water on the floor going into and inside the bathroom, which could be a slipping hazard. A "wet floor" sign would definitely help. Beautiful atmosphere, relaxed vibe. But we always hear people talk about how great Joe T's is so we thought maybe we just an isolated bad experience 15 years ago. But this time, it was even worse. Maybe people don't speak unfavorably out of fear of being shamed for not praising this "institution"? We arrived on a Wednesday at 5:30 so fortunately our unpleasant experience was not further worsened with a wait. The patio is still very beautiful and umbrellas were positioned to provide ample shade. But the fly situation was very annoying and could probably be helped with the spinning devices on tables or fans spread throughout the patios. The beauty of the patio doesn't compensate enough to endure the flies. The service started out good with waters, chips/salsa brought instantly. But within 15 minutes the service rapidly declined as more customers were seated. It was very tedious to the point of annoying to get refills on our drinks. Literally within 2-3 minutes of ordering we asked our waitress to switch one of the fajita orders from chicken to beef. She initially said "oh I'm sorry but I JUST put the order in". We looked puzzled and said "ok then it shouldn't be a problem changing it?" She went on to explain that she would add the beef to our table and just switch the chicken order to another table next to us who ordered chicken that she had not put in yet. All of that sounded very bizarre but the food was correct when it was delivered our table. At the time the plates were brought we requested a side of sour cream but it didn't come. After 5-10 minutes we spotted our server and requested it from her. But we still never got the sour cream. As I was paying the tab my daughter noticed that we were charged for an extra chicken fajita. So even though the server got the beef fajita added right after we ordered, she didn't take the chicken off the bill. She adjusted it once we pointed out the error. The food was the biggest disappointment out of all of it. I will always give grace to sub par service or atmosphere if the food is great. I say this with the utmost sincerity, I've had more flavorful beef and chicken at Chipotle. The chicken was so dry and served in big chunks which made it even tougher to chew. I seriously could not detect a hint of any seasoning, not even salt. It was very hot but not like the traditional sizzling fajita hot, more like it had been sitting in a heating pan or under heat lamps. For way too long. The beef was a tad bit easier to chew than the chicken but just as bland. The queso that we ordered tasted like canned cheese sauce watered down with chicken or vegetable broth and a tablespoon of pico added. The portion sizes of the entrees, the tortillas, the pico, the guacamole were all very generous. It's just a shame that it doesn't taste good.
