This place is amazing. It could be the largest place I have ever been in too. We had a pretty large group getting together and though we had a private space in the middle of the restaurant that was still open to the air around us -- it both felt private and like we were taking up less than a single table in the whole place. Okay, bad description, but take it for what I am trying to say. For us, the food kept coming. I never saw a menu so I am not going to call out specific items. In general, the margaritas were great and kept flowing, the nachoes were amazing, and the main meal, well things started to get fuzzy around that point. More seriously -- come here, enjoy. It is just a short walk from the more "Nashville" part of town and it is well worth the trek.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The courtyard is honestly breathtaking. This is not the best Mexican food that I've ever had however it is definitely worth visiting. The ambience and service are top notch and we did not leave there feeling like we were price gouged - not a tourist trap. Their prices could definitely be higher since they are always busy with a line, but they do not take advantage of the customer in my opinion. Portions are large with complimentary chips and salsa. We would return if we are ever back in Fort Worth.

The fajitas were delicious, and the margaritas were strong and flavorful. Service was a little slow, but the server was very friendly and the restaurant was extremely busy. Our food still came out pretty quickly, so the wait wasn't bad at all. The patio was fabulous and made the whole experience even better. Definitely worth visiting overall!

This place is awesome. Head to the patio for the most enjoyable dining experience. Great for large groups and spring weather. The staff is attentive and makes sure your glass is never empty. The food was great! We did 2 orders of combo fajitas with queso and guac and a pitcher of margaritas for 5 of us and had 2 days of left overs to take home!

    Margarita was fine, nothing exceptional

Ambiance of this establishments patio is perfect, margaritas were strong and cold. Service was par. Food I'd absolutely never recommend or suggest. Food is literally about like eating taco casa or Taco Bell imo.

Visiting Fort Worth. Went there on a Thursday afternoon. Already ate, but still decided to pay a visit for their infamous Garden because my Gemini AI told me to -- and was not disappointed! The Garden is indeed gorgeous -- felt like I stepped in time and into another country. Already had a Salisbury Stake at Paris Coffee Shop half an hour ago; I just couldn't eat anymore. So I decided to try their desserts with their house coffee instead. Had 3 of their desserts: Sopapillas, Parlines, Leche Quemada. All amazing. My favorite was their Leche Quemada -- soft, moist and chocolatty. The atmosphere, the servers and all of the staffs are amazing! Especially their hospitality -- out of this world. I wanna take a moment to talk about my server, DANIELLA, for a second -- amazing young lady: attentive; very fast and efficient but not rushing; clearly loves her job and very good at it. She checked-in with me multiple times, asked me how I like it and if I need anything. Topped up my coffee. When I ordered my third dessert, she also brought me a little bag with her and said "here's a bag to take it you if you can't finish it". Well. She was right; I couldn't indeed finish it. I don't even know myself that well. Somehow she did. Being able to know your customers at this level is a gift.

A visit to Joe T. Garcia's is as much about the setting as it is the food. The property spans an expansive footprint of almost a city block, with multiple distinct dining areas that give it a unique feel. Inside, there are two separate dining spaces: a smaller, more traditional dining room near the front, and a second, larger indoor dining area set apart from the first, often used to accommodate overflow and larger groups. Each offers a different atmosphere but maintains the same classic, no-frills Tex-Mex experience. Outdoors is where the restaurant truly stands out. The grounds include a central pool and multiple fountains that serves as a focal points, surrounded by seating. Moving further back, there is a covered patio section that provides shade and comfort during warmer months. Beyond that, the property opens into a larger garden-style space often used for weddings and events--an open venue area that adds to the scale and versatility of the location. The menu is intentionally limited--especially in the evenings--typically focused on a few staple Tex-Mex dishes executed consistently. A separate weekend daytime menu offers slightly more variety, but overall, this is not a place for extensive customization. The simplicity is part of the appeal of a 1920's restaurant. One important operational note: Joe T.'s is cash only, though there is an ATM on site if needed, which is worth planning for ahead of time. Timing your visit matters. During the summer months, wait times can become significant, particularly summer evenings. These lines are often extended further during holidays and major local events such as golf tournaments, and rodeos. Despite the wait, many guests find the atmosphere and setting well worth the time. Waits can be over an hour and drinks are allowed in the line while waiting. Overall, Joe T. Garcia's delivers a classic Fort Worth experience--defined less by menu variety and more by its scale, layout, and iconic outdoor environment. Food was beef fajitas with extra marinade. Service was amazing. A the ambience is always relaxed cowboy.

Our party of 5 arrived around 4:30 on a Friday afternoon and had no wait. We took our time ordering and the food still arrived before 5:00pm. The chips and salsa were delicious. The chicken fajitas are delicious and large portions. If you're not as hungry, 2 people could split. The chicken quesadilla was yummy as well, but the guacamole was the star of the show! The restaurant is indoor and outdoors and has a great vibe! We will return!

Iconic spot for Mexican food. Eating indoor or outdoor with lovely decoration. The workers are very efficient. These workers feed hundreds of people at a time very efficient. There is always a line of people who want to eat at this iconic location, so be ready to wait a bit. Today, my husband and I shared the beef fajita lunch. When eating chips and salsa beforehand, this is more than enough to share. We even took some fajita meat home. Some of the items come to the entire table to be passed around and shared. The guacamole and the pico went with the fajitas. There was plenty of flour tortillas.

Brought some visiting friends here while we were at the stockyards, it was about a 10 min walk but very worth it for a bite to eat before we had to head back to see the rodeo. I will say this visit was not planned so we didn't plan to come early or anything. SO glad we opted to eat inside the line to get in was much shorter like (2-3 parties) and we were able to meet our tight time table. The patio is a nice atmosphere but man 6:00pm on a saturday the line for that one was more than down the block insane! I split the fajitas with my friend and it was definitely a lot of food. If your at Stockyards I'd recommend this place!

I had never been to this mainstay in Fort Worth and the restaurant and courtyard are absolutely spectacular visually. Some of the food was good (nachos, salsa), and others (queso, enchiladas) were less than appetizing.

This is the biggest restaurant I've ever been to. Space is huge! We walked through multiple indoor and outdoor spaces to get to our seat in the back room (we had a larger group of about 15). The outdoor space was beautiful at night with all of the lighting and the fountain. Food was okay but the restaurant vibe, nice waiters, and the portions made up for the taste. As big of a space it was, portions were also big too and extremely cheap considering how much food they gave. I definitely suggest this place for any big gatherings as you will get great deals

Ok, to be 100% upfront and fair... I'm from Los Angeles. I've eaten over 40+ years all kinds of Mexican food... Also eaten it in Mexico... That being said... I've read all the reviews on Google and here on yelp... let me dispel some of the negatives, but to level the 5-Star positives... 1. The place is MASSIVE... and the outside patio IS worth the wait. 2. Sorella (sp?) is the manager, well spoken, and is the adult to all the youngsters working there... If you have questions, find the adults (I'm almost 56 lol!). Why am I explaining this... I and certain members of my party have food allergies. Sorella explained what I needed to tell my server and my food came out right... (see photo). 3. Our server was the nicest person I've seen out of California... right attitude, more than happy to accommodate... 4. Yes, everything is cooked/fried in LARD.. you can get main dishes altered.. but unless you want to eat a flour or corn tortilla... you're it eating the chips. 5. Their delicious desserts are lard free, you gotta try the pecan thing, looks like a fritter, but it's all sugar and goodness... literally ate it before my dinner. 6. Now, this is Texas... I'm expecting some flavorful meat... this meat isn't it... quite surprising actually... I've eaten at the Saltlick down in Driftwood... talk about some d-licious meats! But I digress.. This was a clean salt and pepper meat... but you know that flavorless meat you probably had once in your life... this is that same meat... 7. Their delicious desserts men's room DOES NOT SMELL LIKE A SEWER... Trust me I've been in some nasty ones... my only assumption is those who made the claim, probably went in after somebody finished lighting it up... (and probably should see a doctor)... but I digress again. 8. They served this hybrid drink, a Margarita sangria... those who drank it said it was a "well" poured drink (I.e. they didn't cheat you on the tequila). Four stars is as honest as I can be... Have an option for chips not fried in lard... Please change your meat vendor, or buy a different cut... or at the very least marinade it? Even the mariachi band was good (a touch out of tune but as a 40+ year musician maybe I'm too critical? Dunno). Three part harmony was surgery and the trumpet player nailed every note! So all this negative Nelly's out there and the same token all the people that are ranting and raving about it, It's four stars. Brass tacks and bottom lines, if you have an allergy issue or you need something adjusted, just talk to the waiter or waitress and tell them Sorella wants it made like this... you can get something not made with lard, but you need to tell them upfront. If you don't tell them you eat something that you don't like you have no right to complain about it. If you don't ask, you cannot get! Always best to talk to management first to find out what your options are before you sit down to eat.
