I cannot rave enough about this place. The only negative about it is that I live in Fort Worth :((( I absolutely loved this cafe. I frequent so many different coffee shops and eateries, but this is easily taking top rank coffee shop. Not only do they serve their coffee in an authentic manner, but it all taste of the real deal. Their Horchata is not a powder for example. I am always seeking out cafe de olla but very few places offer it, and in all my life i have never had it the way it was served when it was first created. No milk needed which only improves the polyphenol uptake. (Ie good for your gut. I had the absolute fortune of having Frida as my waitress. She is a beautiful young woman inside and out! She takes the time to explain the drinks and the food and the origins of everything if you ask her. Very lovely and very attentive. If only all employees could be just like her! The restaurant is beautiful and clean. Well appointed and comfortable for dining in and working. Apparently it turns into a bit of a speakeasy at night. I need to come back to check it out! The food was fantastic. The salsa roja with roasted tomatoes was delicious, the ceviche was so fresh and perfect. The upstairs bar area is a great atmosphere and a great date spot. Give Eric a raise. He was so incredibly welcoming and friendly that he chased me down the block with my to go box that my overheated, tired self forgot on the table. I had just realized I was missing it before he shouted my name but I would have been beside myself to miss out on eating the brand new huevos con chicharrón for lunch and dinner. The char on the pork belly was absolutely incredible, the meat was perfectly fatty and juicy, the eggs were just the right amount of runny, and the design of the inside of the restaurant was gorgeous. We tried to order the Tacos de Pescado but was told all out of fish so we went with the Estilo Ensenada & Hot Cakes de Maiz. 3 pancakes from blue corn with a drizzle and strawberry, came with syrup but I like a little butter only. Nice indoor and outdoor space and friendly service but really I wasn't impressed unfortunately just had so many things wrong with the dish. The chipotle Hollandaise wasn't bad.but egg was watery like you could tell it was poached. Now for the duck, so over cooked it was like eating stringy pork. So this place looks promising but it really under delivered. We tried a bunch of things and nothing was really memorable. The tuna tostadas for certain had pre-made store bought wholly guacamole- you know the taste- that actually ruined the whole thing. The octopus flavor was good but fried to a crisp so it was very tough. The empanadas had no flavor just plain shredded beef, no seasoning LOL and LORD how are you a Mexican inspired place but can't serve a fajita. Like these were the most bland chicken fajitas ive ever had. For $30?! We didn't finish anything and didn't take home leftovers. Honestly I wouldn't come here again. read more

A small, local spot that we were happy to find. This is not Tex Mex but is delicious. You can tell they emphasize quality and details in the kitchen. Don't let them get you on their happy hour specials. Their tacos are poorly seasoned ground beef and very greasy, and their "queso" is a step up from concession stand cheese, has a very weird texture and horrible flavor. I don't know why I was expecting authentic cuisine. I sat at the bar and the service was also subpar. The bar is tiny (no pun intended) and the bartender decided to finish his prolonged conversation before even acknowledging me, providing me with a menu, or even getting me water. This attitude seems to be a growing trend among bartenders in the south main area. Not sure I can recommend this spot. I'd try the tacos around the corner before coming back here. read more

We used to go once a week, sometimes more. We were very disappointed that they changed the menu a lot. We loved the Empanadas, tamales, bacon jam, fajitas, street tacos, pazole, the round chips, so many good items gone. It's not the same Tinies. I would go back for the Casita and guacamole. Nothing else really tempted me. Looked at the menu on Google and Door Dash. It is still the old menu, very deceiving. Not impressed with the knew menu. Sorry to leave a bad review. Service was ok it wasn't busy at all. And the waiter on came to our table twice. Charged us the wrong order as well. Receipt said 54 and got charged 60 on things we didn't order but they fixed it. They have THE best queso in Fort Worth, and the BEST house Margaritas in all the land. Every sip takes me back to Puerto Nuevo sitting on the rooftop patio of (unnamed) a locally owned restaurant, listening to the waves roll on to the shore. The staff is top notch. The first time I found this place I walked in and back out, not sure I liked the energy, waited a couple of months and decided to return for brunch. I opted to sit at the bar and the space wasn't wall to wall crowded, but there were quite a few guests. The food was flavorful, different, but good. The drinks I'd return for I like Mezcal and it's nice to find restaurants that find creative ways to make cocktails aside from swapping tequila for mezcal. I had good service from a young lady who was in the last hours of her last day working here. I haven't returned, but wouldn't be opposed, just isn't on the top of my experiences on Main. read more

I love Tinies! The bar has a lot of very nice choices, from a house margarita to a mezcal option. The menu is also great, they do not skimp on options. It has a cute, intimate bar area, as well as a nice dining room plus a large patio upstairs. It also now hosts the twice a month neighborhood markets in the S Main neighborhood, and so far they are doing awesome! It is worth checking out for any of the above reasons. read more

This is a very bougee Mexican adjacent type of cuisine. We were seated immediately at our reservation time in a very dark yet really sultry restaurant. I felt like I was inside a whiskey barrel. The decor is really cozy and inviting. There is a large bar at the back and maybe 10 tables for seating. Our server was very attentive, constantly refilling our water glasses. We started with the chimichurri queso which was divine. Then I had the duck enchiladas while my friends shared small plates of tacos, empanadas and crispy octopus. Everything was absolutely delicious. I don't think the prices were too bad either. I do wish they explained their cocktails a bit better. I ordered something I thought was tequila, but it was actually mezcal and I LOATHE mezcal. Unfortunately I was stuck with a $15 cocktail I didn't enjoy. read more
