Although I can't have peanut butter anymore you gotta try the PB&J wings. Went with a friend and we had a Cheese board plus some Lobster Mac and cheese. I'll name some drinks but I'll also tell you the menu changes. Pirates pearl, delicious, Espresso Martini from both Becca and Derrick one was more sweet one was more coffee Based. My friend and her wife had Raspberry mojitos. This is a speakeasy hidden inside Wishbone and Flint. There is also a door outside you can find sorta easy. All the bartenders are fabulous but I always chat most and ask for Becca and Derek. It looks like you've stepped back in time when you walk in, don't worry you didn't break the matrix... it's just the Amber Room. My favorite spot in Fort Worth.

A hidden gem! Decided to try it out- found it and enjoyed ourselves. Great drinks AND great bartender. The atmosphere is definitely our vibe! Will go back!!

I came to this location last week with my OCA Dallas peep (Ify, O.). This is a great speakeasy, and I am so glad we stopped in! Fun facts: According to some accounts, the word speakeasy came from "speak-softly shops," illegal drinking establishments in England and Ireland in the 19th century. The name referenced the need for secrecy; customers were asked to speak quietly while inside to avoid detection. By the end of the century, speakeasy had come into usage in the United States. In a state raging with bar fanatics, DFW really does have something for everyone. If you're the type who likes things hush-hush, look no further than this awesome cocktail lounge. The cocktail lounge and huge spirits library feature a special collection of bourbon, whiskeys, scotch, mezcal, and tequila in inventive concoctions. Overall, this speakeasy has strong cocktails, great service, and great prices.

I was checking out some bars and breweries with my husband in the area when I realized how close I was to this bar! I've been wanting to check out this speakeasy for over a year. We got there right when it opened at 4pm on a Saturday, it was perfect since nobody was there. I LOVED the ambiance and atmosphere, it was very dark and cozy, private. Picked a spot to sit when then realized that you have to order drinks at the bar, didn't expect that since in every single speakeasy I've been to I had a server. Good thing that the place was empty otherwise I'm definitely not into that. I had 2 tequila cocktails, Johnny on the Spot and the other one I can't remember. My husband had a whiskey cocktail, the Aztec Old Fashioned, and a mezcal cocktail. Must say that both bartenders were very friendly and made delicious drinks. Will definitely go back to this bar.

Drinks were okay for the price. Inside was filled with what I would assume was thrifted couches and chairs cute environment very dark! Super elevated food menu but we didn't get to try any

The first time we came here was when we were waiting for dinner at wishbone and flint and our table wasn't ready. It was an unexpected but nice surprise. This time we chose to enter through the street to go and have a drink whilst in the area and as it was the day time it was quiet. It still has a cool vibe and the servers were friendly. My cocktail was delicious and my husband liked his old fashioned. We didn't have any food this time but we really like the bar and will be coming back soon.

I love this place. You can feel the cozy vibes right when you walk in. the lighting and music were perfect. The bartenders are so friendly and talented. Even the other patrons were really friendly. The drinks were delicious. I ordered the Lavender Nuptials which was so good. I love gin lavender and citric abs this drink has all three. I defiantly will be back.

Great ambiance! We love going here from time to time. This time I had an old fashioned which was very good and we also ordered steak skewers from the restaurant. The skewers were tender and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place.

I love this Southside Speakeasy! You don't need a password to get in - and it feels really fun to 'discover' the secret door. Hubby and I met a few friends here and lucked out to find four comfy chairs right when we walked in. The interior is dark and is totally a speakeasy vibe. Obsessed! They have a list of cocktails that are fairly affordable and tasty. I ordered the Rib Old Fashioned and hubby ordered the Aztec Old Fashioned. They also have bar bites that you can order from the restaurant. I can't wait to come here more often and bring my family when they are in town next.

Took me entirely too long to check this place out! Nice speakeasy style bar attached to wishbone and flynt. Excellent adult vibe with classic decor and excellent friendly service. The space though small, is divided well to provide some privacy while still allowing multiple guests to enjoy, thoughtfully laid out. The drink choices feature a lot of whiskey based drinks which is a bonus for me and their small bites are suitable to pair. Theyre drinks are boozy so i forgot to take more photos after just one ;) but check out their Willy Nelson, summer special, and PLD. I didn't drink all those in one sitting BTW :p

The Amber Room is a super cool, "secret bar" associated with Wishbone & Flynt in the increasingly cool Southside Fort Worth area off South Main. I gotta say, this is one of the best surprises we've had in this area. Pandemics suck for many reasons. One of them is the way we have been hindered from new foodie experiences. It's a dumb thing to mention in light of the seriousness of health issues we face. But, the mental fatigue of being cooped up at home when we are accustomed to being out enjoying culture and cookery, the depression is real. So, on a lark we decided to go out seeking covid-friendly destinations. That's when we stumbled upon an abandoned bookmark in Yelp for this speakeasy that opened in Jan of 2020 and has thankfully survived. There are two ways into The Amber Room, a back door that's unmarked on Bryan Ave, and a passage that looks like kitchen access in the back of the restaurant which leads to a gold door covered in doorknobs. It feels underground. The room itself is a mixture of brick, stone, Victorian, and midcentury that results in a sort of urban/Hogwarts/upcycled coolness we couldn't get enough of. Seating is amply separate for the pandemic safety, with the exception of two sofas that were backed against each other with lattice divider between them. We wanted to try literally everything on the cocktail menu. But, we went with a Mezcal Cafe De Nuez, an espresso martini with egg whites and shaved nuts. It was tasty and SO STRONG. She had the Spicy Hummingbird, also extra strong and a citrus, Mezcal, hibiscus mixture that was balanced and delicious. The Amber Room is a rare find, strong on all axes. Highly recommended!

We poke our heads in (accidentally going through the exit door. the front door is well camouflaged) and just found a wonderful very chilled out bar. Haven't been to a speakeasy in a long time. It was dark lighting with ambient black lights and string lights to keep it dim but you wont struggle to see through. Music was not super loud and the chairs were incredibly comfortable and the whole place was laid out to just have drinks and lounge while talking with friends. No food, which is fine. You have plenty of options on the same block for that. This place is just for drinks and conversation. The seasonal menu was awesome. It iss a bar so they of course can make anything you request if you don't want a specialty cocktail. I got my favorite, a moscow mule but they had a brazilian mule on the specialty menu. I never had that before and ordered it on the spot. It was grapefruit vodka with lime, lots of fine pellett nugget ice (the really good kind) with ginger beer and condensed milk. My god it was great, they told me how they made it because i never saw milk added to this before. It was a delicious limeade that almost was slushy like, creamy and with tangy vodka. Plus they actually served it in a proper copper mug. Best mixed drink ive had period and a cool twist on my favorite standard moscow mule. The place is now going to become a frequent haunt for us. Its very laid back, relaxed, with fantastic ambiance. It doesn't get jammed packed and is not meant to get wild in. We went there around 7pm on a friday night with about 8 or so others already there with their drinks. It did pick up later with 15-20 people in there but still spacious and comfortable. It genuinely was just a nice bar to have drinks and conversations with friends. Nice music that isn't too loud so you can talk with normal voice levels. The bartenders we had were super nice and charismatic. The drinks were not expensive, a respectable 13 bucks for my mule. If you have a bill over 40 dollars they automatically add 20% gratuity to it so keep that in mind when you are tipping. And after 8pm everything had 20% gratuity added to the bill. But the service is so damn good that you will probably still want to tip on top of that anyways. I loved it so much i actually made a yelp account just to post a review. TLDR super cool speakeasy type joint, cool aesthetics and laundry theme. Not loud, good for drinks and chit chat, cool well crafted specialty cocktails that don't break the bank. Good bartenders. Good times. Cozy seats that encourage you to hang out and talk even with folks you haven't met before and dim without being dark lighting. Clean bathroom too and quick charismatic service. Hit this place up for sure even just for the novelty of it. It was a wonderful surprise bar for a date night. Pro tip for this area in general. all paid parking, some place validates some do not, i am unsure if they do here but there is paid parking right out front and also a paid lot literally across the street. But i don't even bother. About a block and a half away northeast is a big shopping complex with a target. i just park there for free and walk. its a short nice walk and doesn't cost 20 bucks.

Highlights: Super fun speakeasy-style entrance Small interior, but the seating is arranged really well for different group sizes and feels surprisingly comfortable I don't recall them offering food during my visit, but the bartenders were friendly and were able to make a great mocktail Surrounded by different eateries, so it's easy to grab food nearby before or after drinks Easy parking, which is always a plus (street or parking garage nearby)

The premise of the event was super engaging. We got to mingle with suspects, search for clues, and try to figure out "whodunnit" while exploring the venue. One of the best parts about Thompson's is the venue itself. The experience spans across all four distinct floors (from the main speakeasy level up to the cigar lounge), and each floor has its own unique vibe and personality that made hunting for clues even more entertaining. As for the drinks, the whiskey sour was top-notch. It hit the spot while we were busy playing detective. The bar was kept fairly clean throughout the night. The employees were super friendly, and kept the drinks flowing smoothly despite the event crowd. We were able to grab some street parking nearby, but if you can't find a spot right out front, there are plenty of paid parking lots in the immediate area. I highly recommend keeping an eye out for their special events!

We also had one of their unique cocktails which had a butterscotch taste. It was good. I walked through the cigar bar which is on the small side. Felt a little cramped compared to the other cigar bar downtown. We had a few drinks and went to leave. We found 4 additional bourbon drinks added to our tab. We knew nobody in our group was drinking that drink at all. We argued with the bartender and he refused to take it off. It left a sour taste in our mouth and $50+ lighter in the wallet. Bartender must have put someone else's drinks on our tab. Frustrating.

But from the very first phone call, Sophie at Blackland Distillery showed nothing but grace and patience. She allowed us to keep pushing back our reservation without a hint of frustration, and that alone deserves a standing ovation. When we finally arrived, what could've been a ruined evening turned into one of the most memorable nights we've had. Every single person we encountered at Blackland was incredibly kind and welcoming. Marshall greeted us with warmth, and Jeremy? He's not just a bartender--he's a cocktail artist. The drinks he crafted for us were next-level, easily some of the best we've ever had. He truly understands spirits and how to elevate them. We were genuinely torn when it was time to leave for our dinner reservation at Wicked Butcher--honestly, we could've stayed sipping Jeremy's creations all night. Before we left, we got to meet Sophie in person (she stuck around!), and by that time, we had sampled every single spirit Blackland offers. Each one was exceptional--smooth, bold, and full of character. Take home message: Top-tier spirits, an amazing vibe, and a team that genuinely cares--Blackland Distillery turned a stressful day into an unforgettable celebration. We'll be back... and next time, we're staying all night.
