The atmosphere at Paloma Suerte is fantastic. The Mrs. and I sat on the patio on a perfect day and really enjoyed it. The salsa and bean dip was solid but the guacamole particularly hit the spot today. I had the cheddar cheese and charred onion enchiladas and they were very good. It comes with a cilantro salad on top that made the flavor really pop. My lovely bride had the crab stuffed jumbo shrimp which she really enjoyed. We had no drinks today, but next time I will try their house marg!

We visited Paloma de la Suerte yesterday with our family. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. The food was good, although some dishes seemed a little oily. Overall, we had a good experience.

This Tex-Mex restaurant was just OK, no wow factor here. Their queso was runny and lacked flavor, their brisket stuffed jalapeños was ok except the stuffing was more of a "brisket" sauce, not actual brisket pieces. Their beef quesadillas were actually very good, they used fajita beef pieces that had great fajita seasoning taste.

Delicious food, fast service. We stopped for lunch while visiting Ft Worth. The chicken enchiladas with green salsa were fantastic! Hot tomato chile queso was also delicious. I wish I had those enchiladas closer to home!

Stopped by on a rainy Saturday night, This was our third stop of the night. It wasn't too packed, so we grabbed seats at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and recommended some drinks. We tried the margaritas, and they were absolutely out of the park! We also had the beef and pork tacos, and they were legit...loaded with flavor, served with rice, beans, and all the proper toppings. They even started us off with chips and salsa. Definitely would go back!

Paloma Suerte was very disappointing. My bf and I love authentic Mexican food and this reminded me of something I could make at home or eat at a chain. I ordered a basic quesadilla that was overpriced and took quite some time to arrive. The entire experience was underwhelming and I wouldn't recommend.

Ten of us went here for lunch in a Sunday afternoon. I didn't learn our servers name, but she was great! The place is fairly large and airy and colorful. Chips and salsa were brought to the table and they brought multiple baskets and bowls out so people didn't have to reach far at all. The other end of the table ordered guacamole, but I didn't get any. Apparently it was very tasty. We all ordered drinks and I got the Suicide Schooner. It's a mixture of all their frozen margarita flavors and it was really good! I ordered the Beef Short Rib Birria Tacos and they were delicious! I couldn't begin to tell you what the other nine people ordered, but for the most part everyone was happy with their meals! A few people got enchiladas and said there was way too much cheese (is there such a thing?), but other than that, no notes! We haven't even begun to get into the whole Fort Worth food scene, so I don't know if we'll be back next time we're in town. But if someone chooses to go there again - I'm in!

Great food. The place was packed but we were served quickly with great service. My grandma got a bowl of Queso for lunch and loved it. Would definitely recommend.

My brother in-law said this was the best Tex-Mex he'd ever eaten. Considering that he lives in SC by way of growing up in NYC, I wasn't so sure. But, lo and behold, this place is pretty good. The atmosphere here is dark and fun. Very clean and comfortable. The outside seating looked like a great place to nosh, but it was 85-90 degrees, so nah. Our server was very polite, albeit slow and seemingly disorganized. Still, the service was OK. I tend to judge Tex-Mex joints on their salsa. This stuff was served cold (which is a requirement for me). It had very little spice and might've been a little on the tart side, but it was decent. I asked for picosa to spice it up, and all they had was a Louisiana-style hot sauce. Oh well. The queso here is among the best I've ever tasted. Indeed, it was obviously Velveeta a Ro-Tel, but they also added chunks of avocado. Divine. The chips were freshly fried and a little greasy, but that's not unusual. I'm a cheese enchilada guy, but my brother in-law recommended the prime beef enchiladas. They were different in a wonderful way ... shredded beef on the inside with a chili con carne and queso topping that is reminiscent of the Texas red I grew up on. If I could change anything about this joint, the salsa would have some spice, and the food would be a little less on the greasy side. Also, the dude who was working as the host (a short chubby guy) might consider smiling once in a while. Still, next time I'm in this neck of the woods, I'll seriously consider giving them my repeat business.

Service is excellent, but food is mid at best! Ambiance & Service: Plenty of outdoor seating with comfy couches. Our server, Brandon, was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a great experience. Food: - Complimentary Chips & Salsa: chips were very stale. Salsa had a nice kick to it. - Cheese Quesadillas: Pretty basic. The rice and beans on the side were bland and lacked seasoning. TL;DR: Great service, but the food doesn't live up to it. Wouldn't return for the food alone.

Stopped here at 10.30 on Saturday night as it was close to our hotel. I was a little unsure about eating here as it had potential to be a bit of a tourist trap and my suspicion was entirely correct. The space is large and we were sat quickly and ordered some drinks. I went with the Paloma and unfortunately this wasn't a great choice (it just didn't taste quite right but I am not sure why). We ordered the BBQ Shrimp and Chicharrons to start and then ordered the duck and goat birria tacos. We waited quite a long time for our starters to arrive and when they did they brought all of our food together, including the tacos. We commented that we had wanted the tacos to follow and the waiter acknowledged that this should have been what happened and walked away. The chicharrons were good but this is where the positive food review ends. The BBQ shrimp was cold and the birria was oily/greasy and just generally very sloppy. The consommé itself tasted like it was made from a stock cube and lacked any flavour. There was no seasoning to the consommé and when I have had it in the past it has had herbs and pieces of meat in there, none of which this one had. We ate one taco each and left the rest. We spent about 15 minutes trying to get a waiter to tell them that there was a problem with the food. When we did eventually flag him down he said he would get his manager. We did speak with the manager and when I explained the issues with the birria he told me that this is how it was supposed to be. I have had birria many times and we have never had anything this oily with such a complete lack of flavour. He continued to insist that this was how it should be, and that I was wrong, which was just a strange way to deal with a complaint on food. He offered us some churros on the house but I said we didn't want any more food there and could we please just grab the check. They did kindly remove all of the food from our bill without us even asking/mentioning that, which we did appreciate and is why I give them 2 stars as opposed to 1. We wouldn't visit here again and would recommend trying somewhere else if you are in the area.

Ambiance was great! We sat on little patio facing the trinity canal. Alejandro (I think was his name) was our server and he was fantastic- so personable and took time to get to know us. Food was very good, especially guacamole and salsa. Drinks were delicious. Watermelon ranch water was my favorite! Great vibes all around.

When we were first seated, we were given chips with a variety of dips, including mild and medium salsa and beans with mole. We assumed the beans had something like birria in them, but after we had already started eating, the waiter came and told us they contained pork. That's something that should definitely be communicated upfront, especially for guests who don't eat pork. Unfortunately, things didn't improve from there. My friend ordered a Sprite, and the glass it came in was visibly dirty, with green particles floating in the drink. While waiting to order our main dishes, we also noticed that the water pitcher placed on our table was not clean. At that point, we felt uncomfortable continuing our meal and decided to leave and go somewhere else. It's a shame because the place really is beautiful. Adding two stars because my drink was good and the queso was okay.

But we always hear people talk about how great Joe T's is so we thought maybe we just an isolated bad experience 15 years ago. But this time, it was even worse. Maybe people don't speak unfavorably out of fear of being shamed for not praising this "institution"? We arrived on a Wednesday at 5:30 so fortunately our unpleasant experience was not further worsened with a wait. The patio is still very beautiful and umbrellas were positioned to provide ample shade. But the fly situation was very annoying and could probably be helped with the spinning devices on tables or fans spread throughout the patios. The beauty of the patio doesn't compensate enough to endure the flies. The service started out good with waters, chips/salsa brought instantly. But within 15 minutes the service rapidly declined as more customers were seated. It was very tedious to the point of annoying to get refills on our drinks. Literally within 2-3 minutes of ordering we asked our waitress to switch one of the fajita orders from chicken to beef. She initially said "oh I'm sorry but I JUST put the order in". We looked puzzled and said "ok then it shouldn't be a problem changing it?" She went on to explain that she would add the beef to our table and just switch the chicken order to another table next to us who ordered chicken that she had not put in yet. All of that sounded very bizarre but the food was correct when it was delivered our table. At the time the plates were brought we requested a side of sour cream but it didn't come. After 5-10 minutes we spotted our server and requested it from her. But we still never got the sour cream. As I was paying the tab my daughter noticed that we were charged for an extra chicken fajita. So even though the server got the beef fajita added right after we ordered, she didn't take the chicken off the bill. She adjusted it once we pointed out the error. The food was the biggest disappointment out of all of it. I will always give grace to sub par service or atmosphere if the food is great. I say this with the utmost sincerity, I've had more flavorful beef and chicken at Chipotle. The chicken was so dry and served in big chunks which made it even tougher to chew. I seriously could not detect a hint of any seasoning, not even salt. It was very hot but not like the traditional sizzling fajita hot, more like it had been sitting in a heating pan or under heat lamps. For way too long. The beef was a tad bit easier to chew than the chicken but just as bland. The queso that we ordered tasted like canned cheese sauce watered down with chicken or vegetable broth and a tablespoon of pico added. The portion sizes of the entrees, the tortillas, the pico, the guacamole were all very generous. It's just a shame that it doesn't taste good.
