The food was more Mexican than TexMex, which is a plus!! The flavors amazing, good tortillas, good portions, drinks...yummy! The service was also good. Our servers Arturo and Andres were a todo dar!!

First time trying La Cabrona. We had a 5:30pm reservation and were seated around 5:40pm. It took a little while for our server to make it to the table, but a manager/hostess noticed we hadn't been served, came over to apologize, and offered us a free appetizer, which was a really nice touch. Once our server arrived, she was friendly and clearly working hard to keep us happy. The chips, salsa, and beans were great, and the food and drinks overall were excellent. Despite the slow start, the service recovery and quality of the food made for a very enjoyable experience.

I found this from the great yelp reviews and was a little concerned at how pink the interior is considering that my table mates were two guys. This is a great place for cocktails. They had a really unique menu of tequila based cocktails and we were able to select one that was beyond delicious. We crushed the free chips and salsa that also come with a delicious beef dip and everything we ordered off of the food menu came out hot and fresh. I went with huevos rancheros, and the ranchero sauce on the eggs was excellent. I could see where this would be a phenomenal. This would be the best place to come have a very boozy brunch on the patio too as the weather warms up.

From ambiance to service to food, La Cabrona delivers on every front. We stopped in before a concert and were greeted warmly at the door and seated right away. The décor is adorable, bright, and festive, and the space feels clean and welcoming. Our server was attentive throughout the meal. The aguachile was a true standout, and the salsas were boldly spicy--in the best way. Our favorite was the frijoles with asado de puerco. The tacos al cabrón (yes, that's the name) were delicious, though a small drawback was that they didn't taste freshly made and had a slight reheated-meat note. Cocktails were tequila- and mezcal-forward and very enjoyable, and they offer a happy hour as well. Overall, a great dining experience and a place we would absolutely return to.

I found myself in Ft Worth on a Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I had to see a certain exhibit before it left. About 2 pm I was starving and wanted to grab a bite without driving too far. Usually I have a list of go too in Ft Worth but thought I'd give something new a try. Ft Worth has become a different place over the last few years and seems like they add new restaurants daily Fortunately there was one offering Mexican food close by. In a new multi use area with apartments, shops and restaurants, parking could be a problem at busy times. However, Tuesday afternoon was not busy and I easily found a street spot out front Inside the restaurant is festive to say the least. I've already got the Christmas spirit and it was helped by La Cabronas pink Christmas trees. The restaurant is nicely designed with different dinning areas, huge patio and beautiful bar area. Very spacious and comfortable. Now the food.... excellent Drinks- above average. Obviously attention to pour and mix here= a strong delicious drink. All house specialties are offered at $15. Tacos al Carbon-generous portions of meat in three corn tortillas with onions cilantro etc. Very good Fish Tacos- again 3 corn tortillas with generous portions of fried fish, slaw, guac and crema. Service- well paced friendly and knowledgeable. My list of places in Ft Worth to visit is very long so may not make it back here. However if you're in the arts district and want a sure fire deal... Go to La Carbrona

Love this place, the atmosphere and vibe are soo there if you like busy and lively. Definitely not a quiet place for sure. The service is great, the food was good and the drinks are STOP ON! The salsa could use a lil seasoning though. I definitely will come back again. Oh and FREE 2 hr parking during the day and they validate your parking garage ticket 2 WIN WIN

Great location for Saturday brunch! We got seated quickly and the waitress was very friendly. They give you free beans with salsa and chips and it was so delicious. I also ordered a Carajillo and it was delicious. Will be back!

I don't quite know whatsamatter with me that it has taken us this long to make it here to La Cabrona. It's been on my radar since it first opened. Happily we set things right with a visit at lunch today. The name, when taken playfully as they clearly intend, is pretty damn funny. The restaurant, as you can tell from the pictures here on Yelp, boasts a very cool and festive Mexican ambiance. To a person the waitstaff were welcoming, cordial and hospitable. Our server was super knowledgable and perfectly attentive throughout the course of our meal. The table is promptly presented stone bowls of salsa roja, salsa verde and re-fried beans chock full of delicious pulled pork. Both of the salsas here are unique; absolutely bursting with fresh flavors with just the right amount of that addictive heat that compels one to reach for chip after chip to dip. I began with a La Cabrona margarita. It's a great marg and proved to be the first of several LOL. It is poured with Cointreau, my orange liqueur of choice. As for wine one has two choices here. Red or white. Hahaha. Makes the decision pretty easy. My wife went with white. I cannot comment on La Cabrona's red as I'm not bold enough to venture trying it, but as a general rule if a restaurant offers one red and one white, go with the white. Always! LOL. We started with La Cabrona's aguachile to share, again a unique expression of the dish here and really enjoyable. The shrimp, cucumber and onion swim in a very generous portion of the Serrano and lime sauce. So much so that we brought enough sauce home to "cook" some more shrimp in. We'll see how that works out today. I opted for the quesabirria tacos and my wife the tacos de tinga. But are outstanding. This is one of, if not the most, rich and savory birria consommés I have ever enjoyed. Two of our three tacos each came home for lunch today and were just as good as yesterday. The air fryer rocks re-heating barria tacos! I can see this becoming a go to FYW Mexican food destination. If you hain't been yet, definitely give it a visit. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

La Cabrona is a beautifully decorated Mexican restaurant with an authentic feel from the moment you walk in. The dishes were truly traditional, full of flavor, and the aguas frescas were delicious. Our server was attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations that ended up being some of our favorite plates. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere made this a standout experience. I'd recommend La Cabrona to anyone in the Ft. Worth area looking for genuine Mexican cuisine.

On 7th street it's authentic Mexican cuisine and lively atmosphere with live mariachi music. It offers a full bar, outdoor seating, and a popular Sunday brunch buffet 11a-4p for $35 a person Sundays only Live mariachis start at 1 PM. We arrived about 1230. Your full party has to be there to be seated. Food is delicious. I got up about 3 to 5 times. Make sure that my money's worth and try a little of Everything!! mariachis are very good and entertaining. Parking does cost they will validate at the restaurant. They have beautiful art decor, and a great patio setting for nice weather.

The food here is delicious. The chips and salsas and the dip? To die for. Andres our waiter was very attentive and truly made our experience that much better. The music playing in the background took me back to my childhood, I did not want to leave. We will be back!

This place is truly amazing, the service from the hostess to the waiters. The ambiance is festive and fun. And the food is incredible. The birria tacos are a little different than what I'm used to with a pour on sauce rather than consommé, but still delicious. The chips with the 2 salsas and the bean/pork dip were incredible. This place ironically is better than any place in San Antonio!

Who's abuelita is cooking back there?! The food and drinks are authentic. We stopped in for brunch and the food did not disappoint. We were jamming to Luis Miguel the whole time. The chilaquiles were delicious! The service was great. I love the cutesie brunch vibe of the restaurant. We asked our server about the vibe and he did mention they offer a Sunday buffet brunch which is first come first serve because of how busy it could be.

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

We poke our heads in (accidentally going through the exit door. the front door is well camouflaged) and just found a wonderful very chilled out bar. Haven't been to a speakeasy in a long time. It was dark lighting with ambient black lights and string lights to keep it dim but you wont struggle to see through. Music was not super loud and the chairs were incredibly comfortable and the whole place was laid out to just have drinks and lounge while talking with friends. No food, which is fine. You have plenty of options on the same block for that. This place is just for drinks and conversation. The seasonal menu was awesome. It iss a bar so they of course can make anything you request if you don't want a specialty cocktail. I got my favorite, a moscow mule but they had a brazilian mule on the specialty menu. I never had that before and ordered it on the spot. It was grapefruit vodka with lime, lots of fine pellett nugget ice (the really good kind) with ginger beer and condensed milk. My god it was great, they told me how they made it because i never saw milk added to this before. It was a delicious limeade that almost was slushy like, creamy and with tangy vodka. Plus they actually served it in a proper copper mug. Best mixed drink ive had period and a cool twist on my favorite standard moscow mule. The place is now going to become a frequent haunt for us. Its very laid back, relaxed, with fantastic ambiance. It doesn't get jammed packed and is not meant to get wild in. We went there around 7pm on a friday night with about 8 or so others already there with their drinks. It did pick up later with 15-20 people in there but still spacious and comfortable. It genuinely was just a nice bar to have drinks and conversations with friends. Nice music that isn't too loud so you can talk with normal voice levels. The bartenders we had were super nice and charismatic. The drinks were not expensive, a respectable 13 bucks for my mule. If you have a bill over 40 dollars they automatically add 20% gratuity to it so keep that in mind when you are tipping. And after 8pm everything had 20% gratuity added to the bill. But the service is so damn good that you will probably still want to tip on top of that anyways. I loved it so much i actually made a yelp account just to post a review. TLDR super cool speakeasy type joint, cool aesthetics and laundry theme. Not loud, good for drinks and chit chat, cool well crafted specialty cocktails that don't break the bank. Good bartenders. Good times. Cozy seats that encourage you to hang out and talk even with folks you haven't met before and dim without being dark lighting. Clean bathroom too and quick charismatic service. Hit this place up for sure even just for the novelty of it. It was a wonderful surprise bar for a date night. Pro tip for this area in general. all paid parking, some place validates some do not, i am unsure if they do here but there is paid parking right out front and also a paid lot literally across the street. But i don't even bother. About a block and a half away northeast is a big shopping complex with a target. i just park there for free and walk. its a short nice walk and doesn't cost 20 bucks.
