I found this from the great yelp reviews and was a little concerned at how pink the interior is considering that my table mates were two guys. This is a great place for cocktails. They had a really unique menu of tequila based cocktails and we were able to select one that was beyond delicious. We crushed the free chips and salsa that also come with a delicious beef dip and everything we ordered off of the food menu came out hot and fresh. I went with huevos rancheros, and the ranchero sauce on the eggs was excellent. I could see where this would be a phenomenal. This would be the best place to come have a very boozy brunch on the patio too as the weather warms up.

First time trying La Cabrona. We had a 5:30pm reservation and were seated around 5:40pm. It took a little while for our server to make it to the table, but a manager/hostess noticed we hadn't been served, came over to apologize, and offered us a free appetizer, which was a really nice touch. Once our server arrived, she was friendly and clearly working hard to keep us happy. The chips, salsa, and beans were great, and the food and drinks overall were excellent. Despite the slow start, the service recovery and quality of the food made for a very enjoyable experience.

Love this place, the atmosphere and vibe are soo there if you like busy and lively. Definitely not a quiet place for sure. The service is great, the food was good and the drinks are STOP ON! The salsa could use a lil seasoning though. I definitely will come back again. Oh and FREE 2 hr parking during the day and they validate your parking garage ticket 2 WIN WIN

From ambiance to service to food, La Cabrona delivers on every front. We stopped in before a concert and were greeted warmly at the door and seated right away. The décor is adorable, bright, and festive, and the space feels clean and welcoming. Our server was attentive throughout the meal. The aguachile was a true standout, and the salsas were boldly spicy--in the best way. Our favorite was the frijoles with asado de puerco. The tacos al cabrón (yes, that's the name) were delicious, though a small drawback was that they didn't taste freshly made and had a slight reheated-meat note. Cocktails were tequila- and mezcal-forward and very enjoyable, and they offer a happy hour as well. Overall, a great dining experience and a place we would absolutely return to.

I found myself in Ft Worth on a Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I had to see a certain exhibit before it left. About 2 pm I was starving and wanted to grab a bite without driving too far. Usually I have a list of go too in Ft Worth but thought I'd give something new a try. Ft Worth has become a different place over the last few years and seems like they add new restaurants daily Fortunately there was one offering Mexican food close by. In a new multi use area with apartments, shops and restaurants, parking could be a problem at busy times. However, Tuesday afternoon was not busy and I easily found a street spot out front Inside the restaurant is festive to say the least. I've already got the Christmas spirit and it was helped by La Cabronas pink Christmas trees. The restaurant is nicely designed with different dinning areas, huge patio and beautiful bar area. Very spacious and comfortable. Now the food.... excellent Drinks- above average. Obviously attention to pour and mix here= a strong delicious drink. All house specialties are offered at $15. Tacos al Carbon-generous portions of meat in three corn tortillas with onions cilantro etc. Very good Fish Tacos- again 3 corn tortillas with generous portions of fried fish, slaw, guac and crema. Service- well paced friendly and knowledgeable. My list of places in Ft Worth to visit is very long so may not make it back here. However if you're in the arts district and want a sure fire deal... Go to La Carbrona

This place is truly amazing, the service from the hostess to the waiters. The ambiance is festive and fun. And the food is incredible. The birria tacos are a little different than what I'm used to with a pour on sauce rather than consommé, but still delicious. The chips with the 2 salsas and the bean/pork dip were incredible. This place ironically is better than any place in San Antonio!

Our server was so nice and patient. He told us about Mariachi on Sundays and answered any questions we had about the food. The vibe is super cute and the food was really good. It was nice to find an authentic Mexican restaurant.

On 7th street it's authentic Mexican cuisine and lively atmosphere with live mariachi music. It offers a full bar, outdoor seating, and a popular Sunday brunch buffet 11a-4p for $35 a person Sundays only Live mariachis start at 1 PM. We arrived about 1230. Your full party has to be there to be seated. Food is delicious. I got up about 3 to 5 times. Make sure that my money's worth and try a little of Everything!! mariachis are very good and entertaining. Parking does cost they will validate at the restaurant. They have beautiful art decor, and a great patio setting for nice weather.

The food here is delicious. The chips and salsas and the dip? To die for. Andres our waiter was very attentive and truly made our experience that much better. The music playing in the background took me back to my childhood, I did not want to leave. We will be back!

Who's abuelita is cooking back there?! The food and drinks are authentic. We stopped in for brunch and the food did not disappoint. We were jamming to Luis Miguel the whole time. The chilaquiles were delicious! The service was great. I love the cutesie brunch vibe of the restaurant. We asked our server about the vibe and he did mention they offer a Sunday buffet brunch which is first come first serve because of how busy it could be.

Food- Everything we tried was very flavorful & delicious. Can't wait to return to work my way around the menu! Service- Friendly, attentive, explained dishes and menu items very well and accurate. Checked in often without hovering. Ambiance- Music playing, clean restaurant. There's a nice sized patio, and a more so private room to the left. Buffet set up towards the back (weekend buffet- see website for day/time)

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

The first time I came here, I asked for a drink that was recommended. The bartender made a wonderful espresso martini. Despite what I mentioned, this was not on the happy hour menu. It was still a great drink nonetheless. I should have clarified from my end that I was looking for a happy hour drink. Good level of espresso liqueur with smooth vodka. Also, simple presentation with the coffee beans on top. The second time I came here it was also for happy hour. This time, I got the Bee's Knees. This was refreshing and sweet. The harshness of the gin did come through at times but at a tolerable amount that wasn't overwhelming. I liked the visuals of the dehydrated lemon slice. In both visits, we were regularly checked on by staff seeing if we had anything else to order, to gets dishes/glasses out of the way, refill water, etc. Always so kind! I will also note that the restrooms are incredibly clean and well-stocked. Although I've only come to Atlas for happy hour, I would certainly love to come back some day later in the evening because I've heard the vibe and atmosphere is especially more lively during that time.

I am a Sushi novice to say the least, but my grandson and daughter wanted to introduce me to his new favorite restaurant, he's 15 so I had to see what he was raving about! The only reason I gave 4 stars is, cuz I am not educated on all things sushi and the extensive menu didn't really break down what each category really meant, the place was packed so clearly it's a newbie issue. I mentioned to our server Cameron, who was so polite and professional by the way, that it might be fun to host a monthly Sushi 101, where people could make reservations and for a flat rate the attendees could learn the difference between sashimi, sushi and all the other preparations for the cuisine. People could taste and sample each type and learn a little bit, giving them confidence to put Hush in their local food rotation. I really enjoyed my experience, and will do some research on the different options so I can try some new foods, I have no doubt I can ask my server, but that would have made me uncomfortable making the rest of my party wait while I learn, this was a spur of the moment invite so I didn't have time to do research, totally my problem. I will be going back once I learn more! I enjoyed my food, the Tempura Shrimp roll, we also really liked the smoked salmon roll, the crab rangoon, and shrimp fried rice, all was delicious! Very nice place for a date night, if you like sushi you won't be disappointed!

We were there on Saturday at 2pm, shortly after they opened, and it was a single bartender...so his service was great. Drinks were interesting. They do a number of riffs on tiki drinks: their Morse code is a take on the classic three dots and a dash, they have two zombie riffs, they have a riff on the Painkiller. If you're looking for slavish adherence to the old recipes, this ain't your place. But they're not reinventions, and that's a very tiki thing. Some are misses - the black walnut bitters in the Pain Kill ARR made no sense, but the light rum and lack of honey in the Morse Code were bright and refreshing. Over the span of 150 minutes the two of us had seven drinks and three mixed shots. All well made, all generally good, no absolute home runs. Totally worth a return trip.
