First time here and loved it! It's such a colorful place with lots of beautiful hand painted murals throughout, and I love how much natural light they have. The outdoor patio is large and nice. The detail of presentation here is rather lovely from the glassware to how the food is plated. They bring every table, chips, two kinds of salsa and beans (all of which I could just eat with a spoon). The rice here is soooo good. You know how you eat all the good stuff and may leave your rice when you get full? Well not here. It is YUMMY! And the beans and the tacos and the tortillas soup and the shrimp cocktail (which was BUSTIN' with shrimp). My asada steak was cooked perfectly, however it could've used a bit more seasoning! There is so much flavor in everything else! The only two things that could have been better are the Tacos Al Cabron. The tortillas weren't good and the meat very dry. AND the service needs some work, BUT I'm not mad about the service because they were actually trying very hard and everyone is very nice. I think they're all new to working in a restaurant. I was excited to give this place a try when I found it amongst the sea of Mexican restaurants in the downtown area of Fort Worth. I loved the name and figured it would be a great place for a girls night out. I made reservations for 6:15 and had zero issues when I got there (Which by the way parking is a little meh. Both my friend and myself lucked out on finding parking spaces that didn't require a meter, but if you can't find one, you will have to pay $20 for the garage or pay $6 for a meter). Walking up I was impressed by how aesthetic this place was! It's truly a really beautiful space with vibrant colors, fun Latino flare and awesome murals inside - not to mention the music they played was such a vibe. I didn't like how the hostess placed me initially in the back at a corner table right up on a wall with a wobbly table. I asked to move to the table next to me while I waited for my friend to get there. Our server was nice. I did get some chips and salsa of which the red salsa was tomato based and was good, the green was excessivelyyy salty. I did try the queso and added chorizo, actually wasn't too bad. Finally my friend got there and I ordered a frozen margarita (strawberry and Mango) which was good and I ordered the Quesabirria tacos, which were alright. Tasted good and the 3 they gave was filling. Wasn't a fan of the rice, the peas are random for me, but the softness of thr rice was good. As for the desert? Horrible. I LOVE tres leches, it's literally my favorite cake - This one wasn't the best one, it tasted like a watered down ice cream cone that you get from restaurants - yuck. I had to send it back after the first bite and got the churros instead, which were better than expected. Nothing special. Maybe I came on an "off" night, but not sure I'd go back for the food to give it another try - if anything I'd go back for the aesthetics, that's literally it! I came here with a party of 13 ladies for my 63rd birthday. The spicy salsa & bean dips were amazingly full of flavor. My tacos al Cabron were perfectly authentic!!!! A note regarding Taco Tuesday: Dec. 10 we thought we'd try taco Tuesday thinking their regular tacos, typically about $16 for 3 tacos including rice and beans, would be somewhat discounted. But no. Nothing on the regular menu was available. Nothing. Instead you were offered the "Taco buffet"... make your own tacos, no limit, for $25 per person. Not even the $3 taco on the happy hour bar menu was available. We decided to pass as did 2 other couples during the 20 minutes we drank our happy hour frozen margaritas. An employee admitted that customers found this scenario to be confusing. So.. there ya' go, you now know the deal about the deal. We WILL return another time when the full menu is offered as it looks like an appealing place. Hopefully more stars at that time read more

Very disappointed with that. I got birria tacos and my wife got the relleno. The food was not great, the relleno was really not good. Based on reviews, we ate at La Cabrona. The restaurant is super cute. Love how festive the restaurant is. The chips and salsas were good. However, 3 of 4 people were disappointed with their meals. First, the guacamole was tasteless. Everyone tried, but we left about half of it uneaten. I had a salad. The chicken was good, but the actual salad had little taste. The enchiladas were just okay, and the biggest disappointment was the mole. It was very light colored and the sauce was very thin. Also, the margarita was overloaded with ice and very weak.
