First, This is not my normal type of food, but we were with a group of 8. Absolutely everyone loved their food. I don't eat sushi or a lot of the menu items, but the Salmon I had was the best that I have ever had. Of course, my wife had the Lobster, probably the most expensive item on the menu. Others had the Steak and most had things that I don't even know what was in it... even after reading the menu. My point is the food was highly enjoyed by everyone, especially those who normally eat this type of cuisine. The drinks are amazing and what a variety!!! Japanese whisky and a huge wine list. PLUS, amazing sake and Japanese beer. P.s. They also have domestic and NA beer which was great since my wife doesn't drink. The service was beyond reproach. Super attentive and very informative. I have no point of reference about cost to compare too other than to say our drinks (many many drinks) was far more than the food. It was expensive, but for 8 of us, that was to be expected. First time visiting here for a girls night and the food was really delicious! The Sexy Core 23 was one of the best sushi rolls I've had in DFW. The citrus of the ponzu balanced the jalapeño perfectly. I'd definitely order that roll again next time. The poke bowls are a good size but definitely on the pricey side for sushi. Overall the service was excellent. There was a mixup with our food where we got salmon instead of Tuna for our poke bowl. They quickly amended the mistake and brought us a new bowl. I was searching for açaí bowls in the area, & Hush popped up... Well they used to serve them, but no one was ordering them from what I heard. Makes sense, since it's a fancy/upscale sushi place I didn't want to leave upon finding that out, so I scanned the menu. Food- I ordered the Philly roll, & spicy salmon rolls. I base sushi restaurants off of these 1 simple rolls. It was good, but for the price... Prices- very high. The simple rolls were much higher than my normal sushi spot (almost 50% higher), & the rest of the menu was well over $20+ & up! I'm way too frugal to be a sushi connoisseur Service- it was great. Eric did a great job, very friendly, & kept my water filled up. The host was very friendly as well (forgot his name, had a cast on his hand), & as well as the woman who told me they no longer served the açaí bowls Environment- very upscale. Definitely would be a hopping place to go in the evenings. It's a dark restaurant, so it's got great ambience, but I could see it being a loud place as well for something that is as fancy as it is. I recently went here for a Friday dinner date, and honestly, the vibes are amazing with a really nice bar. We had a reservation, which I'd definitely recommend because it gets busy especially on a Friday and parking is limited. Once we were seated, the server gave us a nice rundown of the menu. We started with the hand rolls, the Masu Tartare and Toro Tartare and both were delicious. I personally loved the Masu more, but you really can't go wrong with either. We also ordered calamari, which arrived a bit later. It was okay, nothing spectacular, not as crispy as I hoped but the rest of the meal more than made up for it. For sushi, I had the Spicy Atlantic Salmon and the Kani Koi. I absolutely loved the Spicy Atlantic Salmon...it was definitely a favorite but my fiancé preferred the Kanikoi, so everyone wins. Came by Hush after having it on our list for a while. We stopped in early Saturday afternoon and were seated right away--no wait at all. The hostess was incredibly sweet and welcoming, and we were shown to a booth quickly. The menu is very overwhelming, so it took us a bit to decide. I wanted to like this place. The ambiance, crowd, menu with fancy drinks made me hopeful. I came in alone, and wanted to try a variety of pieces so ordered the 8-piece omakase. Unfortunately every bite had so much wasabi between the fish and the rice that it was unenjoyable. I did tell the waiter early on about the wasabi issue, and did tell him the fish was good, but I was having to wipe the wasabi off each piece. For $80 (after omakase, salad and tip) I shouldn't have to do that. I was hoping a manager would have checked on me after I told the waiter, but no one came over. So I just ate quietly and didn't want to keep complaining. And the more bites I took, the fish didn't even taste that good. But again, I didn't want to keep complaining. When the waiter brought my check, he even apologized again about the wasabi. I don't know what I was looking for... perhaps the manager to acknowledge and ensure she would tell the chefs? A discount since I couldn't enjoy each bite without manually taking apart each bite to scrape off the wasabi then put it back together? I've gotten too used to Hatsuyuki in Fort Worth... but it's not just there. I eat sushi all the time at many other places and have never experienced such a strong wasabi issue as this. On my search for sweet potato sushi, I came across Hush in Keller. We came in on a weekend afternoon, it was empty at first, but a few people came in after. The place is nice and spacious. I started off with miso soup, which was good, and ordered the Sweet Roots roll. The sushi was tasty, though there was more cream cheese than I would've liked and I asked for very little. The seaweed salad was also good. I was pleased to see a veggie maki section and a children's menu to accommodate kids who don't want sushi. My first time visiting Hush, I was surprised at how big the restaurant is, it looks small from the front entrance, but it's even got a beautiful patio! I am a Sushi novice to say the least, but my grandson and daughter wanted to introduce me to his new favorite restaurant, he's 15 so I had to see what he was raving about! The only reason I gave 4 stars is, cuz I am not educated on all things sushi and the extensive menu didn't really break down what each category really meant, the place was packed so clearly it's a newbie issue. I mentioned to our server Cameron, who was so polite and professional by the way, that it might be fun to host a monthly Sushi 101, where people could make reservations and for a flat rate the attendees could learn the difference between sashimi, sushi and all the other preparations for the cuisine. People could taste and sample each type and learn a little bit, giving them confidence to put Hush in their local food rotation. I really enjoyed my experience, and will do some research on the different options so I can try some new foods, I have no doubt I can ask my server, but that would have made me uncomfortable making the rest of my party wait while I learn, this was a spur of the moment invite so I didn't have time to do research, totally my problem. I will be going back once I learn more! I enjoyed my food, the Tempura Shrimp roll, we also really liked the smoked salmon roll, the crab rangoon, and shrimp fried rice, all was delicious! Date night at Hush! Honestly this place is HUGE and beautiful. The second I walked in I knew we were in for a treat. My husband and I started out at the bar for happy hour (Monday thru Friday, 3-6pm). It was $5 off cocktails. The bartender was friendly and I liked the manhattan I ordered. We sat at the cutest booth for our reservation and ordered 4 different kinds of sushi. The BFF was my favorite. For two of us, 4 rolls were way too many. We could have gotten away with 2 or 3. Hush is an AMAZING place hidden gem in the heart of old town Keller. The food is so fresh and is absolutely delicious. From the taste, to the presentation, to everything, is just wonderful. The service was 5 star, our waiter Tong was knowledgeable and was a very engaged waiter. Very responsive and friendly. The Ambiance is more casual during the day, and is a place where you can also go for more formal dinning in the evening. Very romantic in the evening for a date night, but they also have a full bar and places to sit along the bar with a full service bartender and TVs to watch sporting events and just hang out with friends. Of course, up front they have a full service sushi bar with master sushi chefs and places to sit there as well. If that wasn't enough, they have an outside garden where you can sit and relax if you just have to be outside. Everything is top scale, high end and awesome. We came back to Hush Sushi today for my wife's birthday, and it was just as good as we remembered. We celebrated here last year and for our anniversary--this place has officially become our go-to spot for special occasions because the sushi is consistently fresh and high-quality. We started the meal with the crab rangoons, which are clearly made in-house with high-quality ingredients. One thing we also really appreciate is their drink menu; they have a nice selection of non-alcoholic beer, as well as zero-proof sake and wines. We tried the Lychee Mocktail this time and it was outstanding. For the rolls, we ordered the Hi Keto and the Pineapple Express. The Hi Keto was loaded with fish and veggies, while the Pineapple Express had a perfect hit of tartness. We also took advantage of their deal where you buy one maki and get the second for only $6, which is a fantastic value. The service really set the experience apart. Our server, Tong, actually remembered us from our last visit! He was incredibly attentive and helped us make excellent selections throughout our lunch. To top off the celebration, they offered my wife a free birthday dessert. She went with the donuts and taro whipped cream.
