Since my first review back in 2017, I've returned to Keller Tavern many times, and it continues to impress. I really came back to talk about the wings--because wow. I never expected to find wings this good here, but they're honestly the best in Keller. They offer a wide variety of flavors, and the Keller Kick is my personal favorite. The Tavern still delivers with a strong beer and liquor selection, and the menu has plenty of other great options. But as you can probably guess, I'll always point you toward the wings first. Well, it has been WAY too long; so, today it was a gorgeous 80° and sunny, and we headed to the best of the best places with a fabulous large outdoor patio and deck. Sat in the sun outside with our large boxer puppy. Enjoyed our favorites! 1. The Keller Cheesesteak: amazing, perfect shave beef, a few mushrooms, and the best light white cheese. The flavors are INCREDIBLE! Perfectly balanced flavors, perfectly cooked beef. I always get this, there is none better. 2. My wife had her favorite, fish and chips. A quality cod fish, cooked right. Always loves this one. Also loves the cheesesteak. The waffle fries come with both: tasty good. The ambiance: LOVELY. Real people, young and middle aged and old. Occasional patio dogs on leash. A fabulous large venue with sun, trees, and an outdoor stage for periodic live music. Always have enjoyed good service; today, two lovely barkeeps and waitresses doing double duty well. read more

As my husband who just left a review as well. We walked in with friend who was looking for someone, walked right back to were the electronic slots machines were. A customer who friend didn't want to interact with who knew he didn't want to talk to started talking. It could have been a whole lot worse situation then it was we stopped our friend and then we actually spoke to the owner said what happened and it seemed fine was not told anything. Husband walked back in to ask for water and was told he wasn't allowed in.... I walked in myself a few moments later was told oh honey your not allowed in here. Ok that's fine you won't get our business. As I was going over some of the reviews I could see why they said the staff was clicky like they walked into a high school cafeteria. Love this place, Great Bartenders, drink specials and the food is great. I especially like their Buffalo bites (small bite chicken w/ jalapeno wrapped in bacon fried to perfection and tossed in buffalo sauce. I love wings but these are so much better! Great place, our favorite actually, but they make you get a table now with a server, instead of ordering at the bar. We prefer it the other way around. Would not recommend, our last 2 order have been horrible, along with horrible service. Wings are very over cooked, so much so that you can drown them in a lake and it won't help. I've emailed them before about our bad order and never got a response. With so many bars around you would think they would care more of the way the treat the customers and make the food. read more

Fantastic "local" bar!!! Went here for the first time ever (even though I've driven past it hundreds of times in the last 20yrs...) Drinks were generous pour, seating is more than ample and comfortable outside. Live music on Friday nights...YES PLEASE! The band wes great! Food was surprisingly very good and they have a very large menu for a bar. Friends I met there are regulars who are there 3-4 nights a week- that should say something! And their prices are more than reasonable. 2 mixed drinks, a round of 5 shots, and street tacos plate was $43!!!! That's good in my book :) read more

I come here as a place to stay after dinner and drinks. Been coming here for years. We eat here. It's typical bar food (burgers, wings, fried baskets etc). We ordered fish n chips - good. Little greasy but good. We had shiners and a few different whiskeys. Great whiskey selection. Service was good. Nothing amazing but it was good, on time, and she was nice. But what's annoying is in the bathroom. This was the case in both the women's and men's bathroom because the guy I was with said the same. Come on, buy a bottle of pump soap if you're going to not fix your holder! This is just lazy. read more

Just moved here but Keller Tavern has already become a FAVORITE! I'm not sure what food was had by the bad reviewers because we haven't had anything yet that was inedible. We've tried something different every time and it's all been amazing!! We are also not bar regulars and our service has always been top notch. Our last visit here, Josh waited on us and made the best recommendations, very atentive and great service. Today Brittany had a bar full of people and still came outside to make sure our order was taken, food was delivered, and that everything was perfect. You can always find something to complain about but I would encourage you to give Keller Tavern a try. We have not had a bad experience or a bad meal yet. The burgers, onion rings, and the Guinness fish are favorites so far! read more

This place has really gone downhill in quality over the past two years. The last three times we've placed a Togo order something has been terribly wrong. We ordered 18 wings and were given 12, the next time the wings were dry and barely had any sauce, and the last time the jalapeño rings were burnt. Not just crispy, but literally black! I couldn't believe they actually gave us them. We used to order all the time, but with 3 bad experiences back to back we have stopped. read more

PSA: Ordering a beer? Do the math. There was a seasonal beer special on the Sunday (night) of our visit. On offer was the Rahr and Sierra Nevada seasonals, $2 for a pint, $3 for a schooner. After ordering a schooner (bigger is better, right?), I started to ponder it's size. Now to be a deal, it would need to be at least 24+ ounces, but the more I looked at this glass, the more I became convinced there was no way it was 24 ounces. I asked the bartender how many ounces are in the schooner and he told me 18 (an Internet search implies 20). Therefore, at a 50% higher cost, I was only getting 12.5 to 25% more beer. I felt like a schmuck. From now on, it's pints for me. We also opted to try the chicken wings tonight, and though flavor options are limited (Buffalo or Honey Lemon Pepper), they were tasty. Very tasty. In fact they are at the top of our list for wings in Keller. The sweet of the one flavor played nicely against the heat (though subdued by my standard of "hot") of the other. At $18 for 24 wings it struck me as reasonable too. But I do need to add that the wings were cooked a bit under. So if you are squeamish about pink chicken (I'm not), you might want to check one of the larger pieces before digging in. Also the wings were not served with celery by default, but this was quickly remedied by asking (and it cold and very crisp celery, so yum). Bottom line: A solid place for a beer and some food. One of these days I still want to try those "Great Balls of Fire." PS. Looks like lots of shenanigans going on for St. Patrick's Day. Check the website for details. read more

Every time I try this place, I WANT to love it. I REALLY do!!! It's close to home, they have live music on nice weekends (usually) which my husband and I LIVE for. ....but EVERYTIME we give it another shot, we are reminded of why we don't frequent there. Music sucks, service sucks BIG time (it is usually faster to go to the bar & get it yourself than waiting on table service), drinks S-U-C-K (ABSOLUTE WORRRRST MARGARITAS EVERRRRR), atmosphere sucks.... I just can NEVER find anything positive to focus on here!! I am sorry, we REALLY have tried to enjoy it but have never succeeded. Shotzees is next door and a MUCH better bang for the buck quality and atmosphere experience. read more

Alyssa Thomas, the manager, called the cops on my party. We asked for the tab bc she was taking a long time, so we wanted to try somewhere else. She wouldn't bring the tab after we got one round after one hour. She told us to tab out, so we sat and waited for our tab. We left some cash on the table and tried to leave, and all of a sudden Alyssa finds the time to visit us. Not with the tab, not with another round, not with the water bowl for our dog that she offered--only to yell at us. We asked her AGAIN to bring the tab, and she brings the tab with food we never received. I would recommend never coming here. read more

The absolute worst experience I've ever had. If you're not a bar regular here, don't bother coming unless you'd like to wait an hour for a drink. Alyssa Thomas was so rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional to say the least. I was in the service industry for years as a kid and your main focus, your number one priority, is serving your guests and making sure they have a great experience. Unfortunately, not only did I not get that from Alyssa, I got harassed, talked down to and belittled. I 100% definitely WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone. Not even my worst enemy. I came here for drinks with some girl friends and the service was terrible - literally could not get worse. Although the outside patio was crowded there was no bar open - just one server wandering from table to table so we went inside to order. We stood at the bar for over 20 minutes without getting even acknowledged and at that point we decided to attempt the outside server for service. We waited at our table more than 10 minutes and still nothing so one of us went back inside. It took another 20 minutes for her to come back out. No apologies from the staff - just only had two bartenders - one of which must have never had a drink in his life because he had to look up ingredients for each drink and it was quite the delay. The music outside was off key and oldies which is generally ok but the pitch issue was bad. Lots of smokers everywhere blowing their nicotine in and it ends up in your face from the fans. We attended an event at Keller Tavern and here is the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good (actually great). Alyssa was our server. She was EXCELLENT. Even though we had a big crowd she kept everyone's order straight. She always seemed to show up right as we needed another drink. Very attentive and super smart. The bad, they still allow smoking on the patio. To be clear, I think they should have the right to do this. I also have the right not to go back. The ugly. Food was inedible. The tarter sauce was delicious. That was it I got the fish and chips and it was SO GREASY I used 4 paper towels to sop up the grease. It also tasted like it was cooked frozen in the fryer because the middle was hard. Plus it tasted like old grease that needed changing. $29 for a crappy burger too. Pleasantly surprised! We showed up Easter Weekend Saturday and it looked pretty dead inside... little did we know... The backyard patio was packed! I don't know how often they have live music, but the cover band was great, complete with music we all knew, but nicely rearranged. They even stayed and played longer due to the crowd. The drinks we good and competitively priced. It was such an unexpected end to our evening out and a great little local gem, not to mention the weather was gorgeous! We will definitely be back for a few drinks on a date night--as long as we can hang out and do the music and patio again! read more

I've been to Keller Tavern a few times and have enjoyed it each time. their onion rings, cheesy crisscut fries and sweet potato tots are to die for! We've ordered their wings a couple of times and they're awesome each time. I've ordered the honey lemon pepper wings (grilled wings here) which come served piping hot and tasty as can be. The only thing on the menu that I wasn't crazy about was their burger but i chalk that up to personal preference. although the burger was a good size (I'm guessing a half pound?) it was cooked a little dry in my opinion but maybe next time I give it a try they can cook it a little less well. service was decent, food took a little time arriving but since we were hanging out with friends it didn't matter much. the noise level wasn't very loud aside from the lone drunk in the corner who was screaming at the TV during the game. This place IMO is a place to hang out, not necessarily to go see a game even though they were playing the game on a few screens. Be warned: parking is a bit of an issue since it shares a lot with quite a few other businesses Keller Tavern isnt perfect but its a great addition the Keller which normally favors establishments like Chilis and Applebees. read more

Meh. It wasn't bad but I would never suggest this place to anyone. My husband and I met a couple here for dinner and beer. The location was easily accessible since it was off 377 and parking wasn't bad. Walking into this quaint establishment I noticed a stuffy smell. To quote my husband he said he smelled like a gym. The service was REALLY slow. Like...really slow. We has to go to the bar to order our drinks and 10 minutes later we met our waitress. .. I ordered the mushroom burger with jalopeno rings (BTW when I asked the waitress if these were like fries pickles but with jalopenos she said no..they're jalopeno rings..) Husband ordered BBQ burger with no veggies with sweet potato tots. When we got our food my husband was disappointed because his burger came with veggies and a small dab or BBQ sauce (definitely not worth naming the burger a BBQ burger). Beer was decent but for being a tavern that advertises craft beer you would expect a wide variety of beer. Either way the experience was OK but I wouldn't go again. read more

So we ordered food on door dash last night and I was really excited for the beer battered waffle fries, and bacon cheese burger and my boyfriend was excited for fish and chips. Door dash did a great job they were fast and the food arrived hot. As soon as I opened the box I was dissapointed with the waffle fries they were seasonless and noticeably not beer battered, I would have gotten better fries with more flavor from the frozen section at Kroger. I took a bite of my burger and could taste that the meat patty had been frozen. There was no flavor to any of it, the only thing I could taste was the lettuce which is not the point of s bacon burger. My boyfriends food was equally bland we would have had a better meal eating McDonald's than this place. I would not recommend. read more
