It is totally an awesome day for Horizon 76, Independence Day, the 4th! Their namesake event, celebrated with incredibly great foods and beverages. So good! And great people to add to the service and ambiance. This time we had the (1) Texas Strip steak, amazing baked potato and veggies. And, (2) a beautiful brisket Enchilada plate with a queso sauce on one and a sour cream sauce on the other, with steamed veggies and wild rice. All so very good! I was originally planning to go to another famous burger place in town, but this American food restaurant looked and sounded really good from the photos and menu and was close to my hotel. I visited during lunch so I took advantage of the lunch burger special for $3 off. Horizon 76 turned out to be good for another entree I was craving 2 days later, so I returned a 2nd time. They sat us in the same table unknowingly and I even sat in the same seat. We also had the same waiter and he of course remembered us and our drink order from last time. How's that for customer service? On my first visit I ordered a tea and original horizon burger and added a cup of chili, which isn't really listed on the menu but they can addit to your burger for a few dollars more. I had wanted to try the bone-in burger, but they don't offer it anymore. My friend who lives in Ft Worth had not heard of this place that opened around 2020, but then again he doesn't get out much. Burger - this is a very good burger and I would put it up against the best burgers in town. I don't live here, but I bet it would be in the top 3 for any burger enthusiast that likes thick burgers. The sweet sourdough bun really makes this taste even better, not to mention when you have steak blends in your patty, it elevates it quite a bit. Fries - I've had several duck fries around the country and these were not that good. Not much seasoning at all. Tasted like typical frozen breaded fries flash fried in duck fat. Side of chili - small amounts of anything are usually tasty, this chili is no exception. Filled with beans and comes in like a shot glass. They don't give you much as a side. I guess they prefer you to order the $16 chili entree. On my second visit, my buddy and I were craving a good chicken fried steak. We decided to visit here since you rarely see filet / tenderloin as the protein in CFS, plus knowing the burger was awesome, we figured the CFS was probably good too. For my sides, I chose grilled veggies and loaded baked potato. CFS - This was a good version but I didn't really like the breading due to its color and high flour content. I prefer a darker greasier one. The meat was what I came for mainly and it was really good tenderloin pounded pretty dang thin. Not overly breaded, surprisingly. The veggie medley is truly a mix of about 8 different veggies, which you rarely see. Most grilled veggie sides are 3-4 at most. Overall, my best friend was super impressed and now he wants to return to their BBQ restaurant next door. I was also impressed, but I would come back for a burger or another entree next time. read more

My wife and I stopped in here after seeing the good reviews. We were seated right away and had a friendly waitress come right over to take our orders. I ordered the brisket cheesecake with fries. The cheesesteak was tasty, but very dry, I had to keep adding mustard and ketchup to make it bearable. My wife had the smothered chicken with veggies and it arrived cold on the inside meaning it was probably not freshly cooked just gravy added. We genuinely appreciate a visit by Dwight when he's able to come walk the dining room, it truly makes us feel appreciated, and also familiar. The food is so relatable, what I mean is there really is something for everyone here, whether I want some comfort food like Chicken Pot Pie, or something more high end like a steak prepared in a variety of different options and cuts. I absolutely love Horizon 76. The service has always been great, the menu is super unique and I've never had a bad meal here. I am very much the type of person who finds what they like to eat and then gets that every time they go to that particular restaurant. I don't do that here. I haven't found a bad meal yet. They have a large patio that is very nice to sit out on (when it's not 1000 degrees outside) so make sure to head there on a cooler night. The bar has a great assortment of beers and liquors and they make a very good Old Fashioned. Overall Horizon 76 is a bit on the pricier side, but it's a very unique and delicious menu and a super welcomed change to other options that we have available in the area. Great meal, can't believe it's not busier here for a Saturday. Location was easy to find with plenty of parking. Very accessible, lots of tables and room to maneuver a wheelchair or walker if needed. Bathrooms were clean too. Caden took great care of us. Our drinks came out slow, but the bar was busy, and the bartender gave us a good pour on the whiskey. Apps and dinner came out quickly and were hot! My brisket enchiladas were delicious - I believe they were wrapped corn tortillas which were i love. My sister had the pot roast and she loved it. Her hubby and my hubby both had the combo fajitas. They both said the chicken was dry and there was not enough beef but they cleaned their plates so.... We would all definitely stop back! read more

I tend to go to a lot of places and get a good or a great first experience. Horizon 76 completely exceeded my expectations and would fall into the category of elite first experience. From the time I entered to the time I exited the service was top-tier. The atmosphere was very chill and the lighting was just right. The restaurant is Farm to table food, and every bit of it tasted amazing. If there was one thing I would say I'd probably like the fried green tomatoes to have a little more salt however the chicken fried fillet, you could literally cut with a fork. The mashed potatoes and the mac & cheese were from scratch the mac & cheese definitely had a nice creamy texture and tasted amazing. We came on a night where the kitchen was short staffed and it slowed service down but we weren't in a hurry. Staff were friendly and most tables waiting also seemed understanding. Ordered the pretzel appetizer, a drink, a steak salad and chicken enchiladas. The pretzel is huge and shareable between 3-4 people. The steak on salad was perfectly cooked and the enchilada plate was good. The Elvis drink I ordered is a hard pass, on presentation and taste. It was topped with the most greased microwaved looking bacon and the drink looked slightly watery with the bacon in it. They may need to improve cocktails or lower the price of them. We will likely come back to try happy hour it says it included a small bites buffet. read more

Ot was a bit strange and suspect walking in at lunchtime and being the only ones there. But the ambiance in the place was inviting and someone has to be the first in, right? I was about an hour and a half away until a meeting a few blocks away and being the only one there I thought this was a good place to eat and get to my meeting. The service though ended being painfully slow, and I barely made it to my meeting on time, and would not have if I had not sped up the process myself. I was here 3 years ago when they just opened and it had very interesting menu. They used to have bone in 24 oz hamburger. It was always pricy side so I didn't go there for a while. Their menu was very difficult to understand. ( no unique menus) Three years later Monday lunch time it was dead inside. Even though it was dead inside, it was long waiting. Overpriced. Overall this place was just mid. We went at an off time so it wasnt very full. I ordered the brisket enchiladas with chili on top, duck fries and a salad. The enchiladas probably would have been ok but the "chili" on top was horrible. It was really just beans in juice. The fries however, were wonderful, crispy and tasteful. My husband ordered a chicken fried steak with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The chicken fried steak was well fried but lacked flavor. The mac and cheese while cheesy was also bland. He also ordered an old fashion which while small and expensive he enjoyed, I ordered the American margarita and it wasnt really good but was strong enough that one had me slighty buzzed. We went for my brother's 18th birthday! Atmosphere: Casual dress, fancy interior. Chandeliers and a nice atmosphere for a casual dinner or celebration. Loved the vibe was not stuffy fancy but also was nice enough for the birthday pictures! Everything from the Horizon Burger to the drinks were amazing. Things I would for sure recommend are the fried green tomatoes, fried mac n' cheese, any of the burgers, and the chicken pot pie :) (anything not mentioned but is included in the pictures were not very memerable but still good). How this place has 4+ stars is beyond me. Service was fine. Nice wait staff. Fried green tomatoes were 100% raw. Even the breading wasn't fried through. Peel it off and it's raw breading. Pretzel was good. About what you would expect. Smoked wings were awful and the biggest disappointment consider they have a BBQ spot next door that has real smokers. I knew from the second they sat them down it was bad. None of the red smoke color, just dull baked chicken color, the meat was bloody and just barely cooked enough and have next to zero smoke flavor. False advertising. They were super gummy. Just bad. I ordered 6 and didn't even eat two, just couldn't do it even though I was hungry. The fries were good but it was a really small portion and they charged 4.50 each (even though the fry add-on for the sliders were $4). Sliders were decent, I wasn't mad with those. When we walked in, we were asked if we wanted to sit at one of the high top tables. I asked if we could sit at a non-high top table since there were 4 empty ones. We were told they didn't have any available. Those tables remained empty during the entire time we were there. Our experience was nothing short of a cluster. Gilbert was our waiter and he forgot we were there altogether. He even told us he "doesn't see that table". He messed up my cheesesteak sandwich order because he "didn't write it down" that I said no peppers and onions. After being brought out the second time, I realized the back just scraped off the parts I didn't want rather than make a new one because there was still onions and peppers on it. They just slapped more cheese on top to hide it. Wtf? The sandwich was bland, the bread was soggy, and it just tasted like cheese. Gilbert also forgot to grab us cutlery and we had to ask for it multiple times. The fried mac and cheese wasn't the best. It was quite liquidity inside still and room temperature. The chili, however, was good. It doesn't come with the "fresh baked bread", instead it comes with packaged crackers. We were told they took that off a while back, but never updated the menu. I asked for the check and pointed out my sandwich still had peppers and onions in it even after the second try. He apologized, said he'd take it off, and took our credit card. When he came back, he said he'd taken it off and gave us the updated the receipt. He was about to leave when I asked him for our credit card back. He apologized for forgetting it and went to charge the card. Gilbert seemed really flustered by all the mistakes he was making and it seemed as though that made it even worse. He was apologetic, but damn man. That was a lot of mistakes. read more

We had a day planned in Keller and I of course came to yelp for help on selecting a great lunch spot for my partner and I, Horizon 76 was a top 10 selection, and I was in the mood for some good ole American food. There is ample parking which is shared with a next-door restaurant. The place was pretty roomy and clean. We arrived before the lunch rush hit and somehow the only lag, we had was getting our cocktails in a timely manner. Our server was the best on getting everything we wanted on a timely manner. Our Menu Selection: Queso & Roasted Salsa $11 House made queso with Outpost*36 smoked brisket & diced bacon. Served with a mesquite roasted salsa and tortilla chips. -- The queso is served in an average bowl which was a shocker normally you get a small cup but thankfully they understood the assignment and gave us what we wanted QUESO! The added brisket was not over cooked and nicely flavored, and the bacon was just the right amount of crispy. The brisket had me wondering on how good their baked potato must be and I may need to try it out on my next visit. Unfortunately, the roasted salsa fell short in comparison, I was not a fan and left that one on the side. Chicken Fried Filet $20 An oversized breaded beef tenderloin topped with our classic peppered country cream gravy. Served with your choice of two sides my choice was duck fries and grilled veggies. -- The chicken fried filet was perfectly breaded and to each cut maintained the breaded. The beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked and for my first try it was better than your average alternatives. As for my sides as much as I was excited for the duck fries, there really wasn't much flavor or seasoning. This were your basic thick cut homemade air fryer fries. At least the grilled veggies provided well balanced medley. The Cowgirl Steak Salad $15.5 Salad greens topped with mesquite grilled steak, fire roasted tomatoes, avocado, applewood-smoked bacon, and onion.--- The salad was fresh, and the steak was grilled to perfection, medium rare, but the salad fell short on ingredients. It felt like it was missing something, I had asked for my usual jalapeño and extra cheese. I only got the jalapeno, and these were not spicey at all. Thankfully their house made ranch did have a great dill flavor that made most of the salad good to eat. Our choice of cocktails were the margarita, ranch water, and old fashion. If you know the mixes, they were good but not the greatest. The one benefit is they had happy middle of alcohol to sugar. As much as we loved the food, and it looked great with every order we had a miss. For that alone we couldn't justify the cost and deemed it overpriced. read more

Wow wow wow, just, wow! Seen this place on FB a few times so I looked them up on Yelp and the food looked delicious. Decided to make this our lunch stop as the kid and I were running last minute back-to-school errands. We arrived around 1:30ish maybe on a Tuesday. The restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated right away. There is a huge bar area, a patio, and ample seating inside. I would have liked to enjoy the patio if it weren't 5700 degrees outside, but it was pretty chilly inside. Glad I brought a hoodie! The kid ordered the Mac n Cheese burger with a side of duck fries. The burger was huge! He gave it 10 thumbs up and stated it has now claimed his #1 burger spot. He's a burger connoisseur, so that's saying a LOT! I tried the meat and it was vary flavorful and the burger was cooked well. The fries were good too. They were nice and crispy outside and fluffy inside, which makes the perfect fry, and flavored just right. I ordered the lunch portion of the smothered and covered chicken which is a grilled chicken breast topped with sauteed mushroom and onions, covered in mozzarella cheese and topped with bacon with a side of grilled veggies. It was SO good! The chicken was juicy and was the perfect size. I was impressed by the veggies because there was little bit of everything in there. Not just broccoli and cauliflower like a lot of other places. Although I loved the food, I only ate a few bites as I purposefully saved room for their famous apple pie. It was.....So. Worth. It. It comes out piping hot with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top then they pour this bourbon butter sauce on top which sizzles up nicely. It was my favorite part of the meal! On a Saturday evening, we arrived early for dinner beating the rush. After being seated, there was a considerable delay before we could get any service. We eventually had to request assistance from a staff member passing by for water and to place our cocktail orders. Our assigned waiter, who seemed to be managing only one other table, passed by ours multiple times without checking in. It took a while, but we finally received our drinks, and our waiter eventually made his presence known. I enjoyed my Old Fashioned, although there was a delay in ordering and even receiving a second one. Ordering food also presented a challenge, as our waiter appeared to be relatively new. The restaurant caters well to families. The menu featured many comfort food dishes typical of Texas. I had my eyes on the pot pie but chose the smash burgers. I thought it was cool the meat was sourced from the restaurant's own ranch. The quality of the food overall was noticeable in all the dishes, including the children's chicken tenders. The main drawbacks were the inexperience of our waiter. Aside from that, I would still recommend this place to others. I know that I'm likely in the minority saying this but, it doesn't matter where I order a brisket item, I'm disappointed. As we headed to a sports game in North Richland Hills, we looked for a place with good reviews. This place did not disappoint. Our service was good. The place was busy and they kept up with it perfectly fine. The prices are somewhat high I suppose but worth it! The taste of everything was incredible so in my opinion, worth every penny. For perspective, we spent $83 with tip. My husband ordered a beer, smash burger, and 2 appetizers (giant pretzel and deviled eggs). I ordered the smash burger with cheesy duck fries. Plus 4 drinks. Our two kids weren't hungry but nibbled on our appetizers. The ambiance as home-town, home-grown type of feel. A few town folks came up to our table and said hi which was a nice surprise. We stopped in on the way to the movie. This is a casual sit down restaurant, and you will be here a bit. Our waitress was fantastic, and did an excellent job getting us fed, and bak out the door. We started with cucumber margaritas, which were light and refreshing. We skipped the starters, and went straight for the main course. The waitress totally gave us the Pro Tip to upgrade the side of duck-fat fries to the regular sized order, and add cheese. This made enough to share! The fries were crispy, as duck-fat should make them, but then covered in like a stringy colby-jack. Cheese sauce would've make them 1000x better, but they were okay. I got the triple smashed burger. The wife who is the connoisseur of smash burgers said this is one the very best she has had in years! Hard to be that review! We also shared the fried chicken pot pie. The pie has fried chicken in it, and ON it. It had an incredible presentation of a chicken tender on top of puff pastry, and everything under was delicious! You can tell the chicken was cooked separately (pro move) but when they add it to the pie and then cook the pastry, the inside chicken over cooks. But this is just me being picky. The smash burger is my go to with the duck fries (get them extra crispy) so tasty ,also the steak dinner is extremely good-this is the first place I have a had a perfect seasoned steak since moving here. Literally just walked out. I get having bad days and growing pains, but we waited 10 mins to be acknowledged once we sat down. Then waited over an hour for a brisket salad and brisket sandwich which we never got. The waiter must have been new and I understand. But he never asked the dressing for the salad nor did he ask what sides for the sandwich. To top it off the manager comp another tables meal that had been waiting half the time we had and walked by our table twice and didn't acknowledge us. Was looking for a new place in Keller. Yelp led me to Horizon 76. Have driven by a number of times but gave it a try tonight. Horizon 76 was outstanding and far exceeded expectations. Once seated, we were greeted by the manager who filled us in on the restaurant and specific American tributes within. That alone was impressive enough, but then we were greeted by our server, Kaden. He answered our food choice questions, took our orders and everything came out perfect. From a baked potato to chicken pot pie to burgers, it was hot, tasty and cooked to perfection. I write this review after many visits, maybe 15-20 to H76. My wife and I think this is one of the best restaurants in Keller or North Fort Worth. The steaks are Wagyu from their own farm. I almost always order a steak. The butchers cut is my go-to. But you cant go wrong with the strip or filet. I've also really enjoyed the avocado cilantro chicken. We like to sit at the bar because of the tv's, the vibe and the attentive bartenders. Its also cool to watch the kitchen staff doing their thing. Definitely, start with the H76 Old Fashioned! It's served with a huge cube (block) of H76 branded ice that lasts a couple hours. Much longer than the cocktail. It is definitely the best cocktail in Keller. Get the deviled eggs! Get the bread! It's home made and awesome! The house made mac and cheese is also the best. read more
