We enjoyed a birthday breakfast for our daughter today at Cafe Republic and were very pleased with the food, the service, and the location. They had many good food choices and were accommodating to gluten free needs. I would recommend calling before you come to make sure they have gluten free batters on hand. It's open, quiet, and patriotic. We're big fans! Thank you Katie for great service today! read more

Normally I would have great things to say about this place, the kitchen knocks it out of the park! But this morning I went in for breakfast, there were alot of available tables so I asked the woman that looked like she was running the floor if I could sit anywhere she said yes sit where ever you like. I sat down turned my coffee cup over and waited...........10 mins went by . Servers walked passed me and brought water and coffee to people that sat down after me but never even looked at me . I waited another 5 mins and saw a couple that came in just before me get there food ,still nothing . Coffee cup empty, no water ,no menu no service after 15 mins . I quietly got up and walked out . I WILL NOT BE BACK ! This makes me a little sad because that Kitchen is Awesome! But ignoring customers is unacceptable read more

Very good selection of food to choose from with good service and a clean environment.

We always pass by this restaurant but it's the first time we actually went in. We were out running Sunday morning errands and got brunch cravings. We were right by the Walmart and decided that was the day we were going to finally try it. There was about a 20 minute wait. The restaurant is busy but pretty big and clean. The service was prompt and friendly. Our coffee cups were consistently filled and food was good. We both ordered simple breakfast and shared a pancake. We left full and happy. Will definitely be back. read more

I've had this place on my "want to go" list for a bit. Finally decided to go but we didn't even get to try the food. We waited a couple of minutes at the podium, while a couple of staff members were doing paperwork. They didn't greet us at all, didn't glance at us or give a simple "we'll be right with you." Then we said hello, and one staffer gave us a dirty look and said yea he saw you. Okay, they clearly didn't want our business for some reason so we decided to leave right at the same moment the other staffer came to seat us. We kindly said we were leaving and the response was "whatever." Where has good customer service gone? Rude and weird behavior to display to new customers. read more

We sat in a booth the inside is rustic Texas theme with Fort Worth proudly displayed next to the flag gotta love that. I went with my standard Philly Cheesesteak while Diana went with the Apple Walnut Cranberry Salad food was fresh and hot. Portions were plenty and we left full, although we had brunch their breakfast menu and pricing will definitely have us making another trip this way. Food: 4/5 | Serv read more

Tried the Italian dinners tonight. Excellent!!We can't wait to come back to try more dishes.

We came here for breakfast. It was decent coffee, eggs, bacon, etc. the service was good. The ambience was your typical country Chic Café not my vibe, but apparently it's popular cause everybody's doing it. Anyway, it was decent. I'm sure we'll be back. read more

Usually we love this place for its great service and food, been coming here for years. However, today's waitress, who seemed newer to the restaurant, was inattentive, blah attitude, and extremely slow. Waited over 20 minutes after food was done. She stopped by table "how's it going?" We mentioned needing a to-go box, eventually she brought one and left before we could ask for the check. Came by another 10 minutes later "how's it going?" We looked at her with obvious eyes since our table was emptied by another waitress who already took our plates. Finally, she gets the hint and says I can get your check at the front. Ummm, thanks. I usually tip high but she got the minimum. Dining out isn't only for the food, it's also for the experience. Sad today's was different than usual, hoping it was a fluke occurrence. read more

Fantastic food and service. The staff are so kind and helpful! I've loved everything I've eaten here so far.

The Italian Dinner was absolutely amazing! Every dish was full of flavor, made with fresh ingredients, and cooked to perfection. From the pasta to the sauces and everything in between, you could tell a lot of care went into the meal. The portions were generous, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. It truly felt like an authentic Italian dining experience. I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious Italian food! read more

What a delightful diner! Our family dropped by today after church and we each enjoyed fresh, hot food delivered with smiles and great Texas hospitality. Mike, the owner, greeted us at the door and quickly helped us get seated. Ava, our server, was the sweetest thing and kept our water and tea (by the way, they serve EXCELLENT iced tea!) always topped off. Highly recommend this diner for a family breakfast or lunch. read more

This has been one of our favorite breakfast/lunch spots for years. The service and food are great. It's a very family run vibe. They started opening for dinner service recently and we went to give it a try. Overall it was great. We had chicken piccata, rigatoni ala vodka, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, linguine with clams, spaghetti bolognese and calamari. Everyone loved their dinner. The calamari was disappointing as it was obviously frozen and lacked flavor. It didn't keep everyone from finishing it and ordering another. We will go again. read more

The restaurant is under new ownership and not the same as it used to be. Including all the wonderful staff being gone. If you're looking for a great place that's run by the original owners/family then you need to go to Oak Street Cafe in Roanoke, TX. Amazing breakfast and lunch served and always honors our veterans, police and firefighters. Plus all the wonderful wait staff is at the new location. read more

Fantastic restaurant. Great food at reasonable prices. Had the Alamo, it was amazing. Highly recommended.

Good food at a decent price. Definitely one of our favorites. The Alamo and the Chicken and Waffles are both recommended classics.

Doing "eat the alphabet" with the family and this was our C restaurant. We don't typically venture out this way, but found this place on Yelp, and my fellow Yelpers didn't disappoint with this one! We arrived just before noon on Sunday afternoon so there was about a 20 minute wait. The wait went by quickly and we ended up being seated 10 minutes later. The three of us opted for coffee and water. The coffee was legit! I probably could have drank a whole pot by myself. The food arrived quickly and was fresh. I ordered the Southern Scramble (biscuit, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, gravy and cheese), kid ordered the Chicken & Waffles, and hubs ordered The Alamo (2 tacos with eggs and brisket with a side of hashbrowns). So. Much. Food. The chicken and waffles came with 3 huge pieces of chicken! I've never seen chicken and waffles with this much chicken before. You typically get 1 small piece of chicken, or a wing. It was impressive. The breading was delicious but the waffle could have been just a tad sweeter. The scrambler contained the best of all breakfast items and hubs loved the tacos. The inside is very Texas and back the blue as I believe the owners are police or retired police. The cafe is family owned and operated which is very cool! Our waitress gave us some backstory and let us know that they plan on opening another restaurant down the road that will serve lunch and dinner. We are definitely looking forward to visiting again and trying more of the menu. read more

Sunday morning at Republic...What could go wrong? Our food was great, as usual, but our waitress spent almost the entire time we were eating visiting and loud talking with her friends in the next booth. Us attempting to enjoy our breakfast at one of her tables was not an inconvenience that was going to interrupt her socializing. Unable to interrupt her visit , we had a long wait for our check and finally went to the front desk to spur things along. However, to be fair, throughout our meal our waitress had checked back with us and our coffees were refilled. Food --5 stars Service --2 stars Two categories, seven stars, divided by 2 = a very shaky 3 stars. read more

This place use to be the best place to go, it has gone down hill so quickly. You can get breakfast anywhere, we came for the service. We found out that the ownership has changes and you can tell! The servers we on their phones and sitting down. The service was atrocious, none of the people that use to work here are there any longer. They use to care about taking care of the guests, that is no longer a thing there. We looked for anyone from before, come to find out they have all left, and you can see the difference. We will not be back, breakfast food is available at much better places read more

Outstanding experience here. Great food and wonderful service from Josh. Highly recommended. We loved the venue!

Has changed hand. Slowest I have seen since pandemic. Poor service. Waitress claimed she and husband bought from previous owners. Worst service. Plenty of help but will never return. They obviously don't have the care original owner had. Will never return and will never again recommend. read more

Bj Local Guide·12 reviews·7 photos Edited 8 minutes ago New Breakfast | $40-50 My dining experience was significantly disappointing. When the staff attempted to rectify the situation, the food arrived cold. It appears that the waitress lacked the necessary knowledge and skills to address the issue. Additionally, there were food particles scattered across our table, which was both unhygienic and unpleasant. I used to enjoy dining at this establishment, but I now regret my decision. It is unfortunate that I did not notice any regular patrons when asked about them. I was informed that they had been terminated from their previous employment at another restaurant, which I personally witnessed and can confirm. I had a strong desire to see them, so I drove to the other location, only to discover that they were completely unaware of their departure. This situation is deeply disappointing. I will also be posting this review on Yelp. I have never met the owner but this reply is crazy. If the owner would come in more just maybe they would see what's going on. Here is the so called owners reply 1 Cafe Republic (Owner) a week ago Hello BJ, We take reviews seriously, but we are unable to verify any visit or situation matching the details described. The claims made--particularly regarding staff conduct, food quality, and cleanliness--do not align with our standards or with any recent service records. How can we terminate patrons? Your statement about "completely unaware of their departure" - again not sure what to make of this. If you did in fact visit us, we encourage you to contact us directly at caferepublic25@gmail.com with specific details (date, time, receipt), so we can properly investigate. We stand by our team and the experience we provide to our guests. Best, Team Café Republic read more

I was a weekly customer at this restaurant since it opened. I used to really enjoy this restaurant, their food, and service. However, since the ownership has changed hands, it is just not the same. It is a very unfriendly and low energy place to visit. Management cares very little about service or satisfaction. It is uncomfortable to be in this atmosphere. I really miss the warm welcome of the previous owners and their staff. At best, this new iteration is a weak copy of the previous version. read more

Had a great breakfast experience on a Sunday morning. I honestly have zero complaints. Our waitress was great, very attentive and detailed. The food was really great, hot, and came out really quick. The service was good, I can't complain about that. The food was less than impressive for the price. My Benedict was covered literally swimming in hollandaise sauce. Sad I didn't take a picture. It said it had bacon and it was a dusting of bacon on top of the pooling hollandaise sauce. It was very disappointing. So I ordered a side of bacon and it came out and they gave me 2 slices which was enough but it was nearly $5 for that. Prices are not reasonable for the food quality. The place is clean and they are definitely military and police backing which is nice. It's very in your face though. I mean there is a difference between being proud of something and choking people with it on every bite. At any rate, this restaurant could use someone who understands food and teach them a thing or two so they can proudly charge the prices they do. read more

Great little spot for breakfast, they had a good assortment of things to choose from. The wait staff were really attentive and friendly. The food was good. We would go back. Only thing I feel like could be changed was the music, it was soo loud we were having to talk over the music. It was good music though, just extremely loud for a breakfast meal maybe more dinner behavior lol read more

The service is really nice and I appreciate the restaurant giving its support to police and military. My boyfriend and I ordered the Alamo and Corned beef hash. Our food was pretty good. Portion size is huge but a bit pricey. I like the taste of my corned beef and hash brown. I think they accidentally gave me a white toast instead of sour dough but it's okay. One thing I noticed that the food is a bit greasy for me especially the hash brown because it is not really crispy as I like, but overall, everything is good! I would come back to try their waffles read more
