Really enjoyed how much flavor we have packed into their Nashville Chicken sandwhich. I will say that it's a messier bite than we had last time. It looks like they've kicked up the amount of sauce they use and it drowned the sandwhich a bit. The fries were a great compliment and arrived crispy and well seasoned. Stopped in last night on the way home from a Dallas Cowboys game. We'd never been here, and stumbled across it. A chicken sandwich always sounds good, and I do love some hot chicken. I must say, HCK Hot Chicken was one of the best hot chicken sandwiches I've ever had! The creamy slaw was so delicious, and complimented the spicy habanero sauce the chicken was doused in. The chicken was juicy, and the side of crinkle-cut fries were battered and crispy. The sauce that came with the fries was excellent as well. My dad ordered the chicken and waffles and raved about how delicious it was. He had a side of mac and cheese which was thick, creamy and savory. We came in about half an hour before closing, and wanted to make sure to eat quickly so as not to keep anyone late. The employees were so kind and grateful and never rushed us. We even spoke to the owner about how much we enjoyed it, and he was incredibly welcoming. We very much enjoyed the experience and even more so we enjoyed that food! We'll be back for sure! Something's changed. We love HCK, and have visited this place many, many times. But we visited this place last night and the food wasn't the same. We ordered our usual house wing sauce and mango habanero, and right off the bat, it didn't look the same and this only confirmed it when I ate it. The sauces are different. Flavor profile on both sauces were completely different, not to mention the crispiness of the batter was off. I've never had a soggy wing here and all of my wings were soggy last night. The chili sauce sandwich was smothered in spicy sauce and had to have some hybrid laboratory experiment seasoning added. I had to totally throw my inedible sandwich away. Out of the two kids meals I ordered, only one child was able to eat her chicken. They called it brick chicken bc it was it was so hard and dry.
