I was expecting a great hole in the wall find but just found a mediocre joint. This place looks like a gas station convenience store. They have a huge menu with extremely reasonable prices. We got chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, fries, and fried okra. The okra was fried well, nice and crispy on the outside. Nuggets seemed like they were store bought frozen. The tenders were ok, not quite golden brown, just a slight pale tan. I would've given an average 3 star rating had I not gotten a stomach ache a couple hours later. The chicken here is some of the best I have ever had. The pieces of chicken are a good size, the crust is crunchy, and the chicken is tender and juicy. The chicken tenders are really good too for the people who don't want to deal with bone in chicken. I'd recommend the Mac & Cheese, jalapeño poppers, or corn nuggets for sides. Looks like a converted 7-11 or something like that, but it fits in with the area. This place has all kinds of fried options at ridiculously amazing prices. They are pretty good and affordable place if you're in the mood for fried chicken. Only problems we have come to is hit or miss on what they give you or sometimes they don't have dark meat left at all. Sometimes I can taste the oils in my chicken and they may not give you enough gravy (they always give us too small of a container) but all around they are pretty good. My only question is -- how does this place make money?! The food was outrageously cheap. To feed 5 people, it came out to about $3 per person... Insane!! So it's a bit dirty -- has a "gas station" feel to it. I believe it is Vietnamese run. And there are a few other locations too. The selection is HUGE. Fried chicken, of course, fried fish, corn nuggets, fried okra, corn on the cob, potatoes, etc. The downside is the food is majorly lacking seasoning. For the chicken -- it's kind of unappetizing to see them "pre-fry" their chicken and put in on a huge rack and just pile it up. I'm bitter and butt hurt about the horrible service I had recently and am tempted to give 1 star, but the food really is decent for the price. If you're a regular, you apparently get to cut in line in front of folks like me- so if you want good service, frequent the place and make friends.... The facility logistics are always a problem- more than a handful of customers means the door gets blocked due to where the line is situated- I suggest always either calling ahead, or ordering via drive-thru as opposed to standing in line.
