Nothing special. Same with the lemon pepper. The Asian style wings with "fish oil" were our least favorite. The Creamy crab egg rolls were delicious and unique. The chicken eggs rolls were ok. As good as everything was, the Spicy Wings were the stand-out IMO. These wings are less - wait, nothing - like standard Buffalo Wings. They were more in the realm/world of an expertly piece of Southern Fried Chicken. To begin with, it was an ENTIRE wing - basically the size of your hand or the equivalent to about 9 wings. The entire tip, flat, and drum are fried intact, yielding a super crispy bite here, a juicy succulent flat there, finished off with a meaty, few bites of a drum. Nothing burnt, dry, or overcooked. Again, the meat was so moist, the crunch so satisfying, and the seasoning/flavor - beyond. I have to touch on the fact that the owner/chef seriously came across happy to be cooking for us in the midst of 100+ weather. The service wasn't over-the-top or gimmicky in the least. Other times they're tiny, dry, and disappointing. The real reason I'm leaving a one-star review, though, is because management seems unwilling to take responsibility when something goes wrong. A while back, I found an actual screw inside one of my fried pickles. Instead of removing the appetizer from the bill, apologizing, or making any real effort to address the situation, they simply took away the single pickle with the screw and brought me another one. That was it. Today, my daughter found a hair wrapped around her chicken wing. She was understandably grossed out, but she had already eaten her mac and cheese and another wing. I wasn't asking for the entire meal to be comped. I simply asked if they could discount the one wing or offer some small adjustment to acknowledge the issue. I was told they could only remove the meal if they took all the remaining food from the table or remade it entirely. Apparently there's no option for a simple, "We're sorry, that's our mistake." What made it especially frustrating is that this felt exactly like the response I received when I found the screw in my food. Different incident, same lack of accountability. To top it off, gratuity had already been added to our check because we were a larger party, but nobody mentioned it. Since I wasn't aware, I added an additional tip. That sauce is too good to waste, and you'll want something to soak it up. Momo Bros is absolutely where it's at.
