Aw man, I have to deduct some stars for my most recent visits. Sadly, the past two times I have ordered food from this location it has been lackluster for sure. Not the Zaxbys experience I've ever received, in fact. To start, no greeting whatsoever when you enter. That was ALWAYS a Zaxbys thing, to say hello at least. I ended up standing there at the counter for almost a minute with the cooks staring at me before anyone came to the register to take my order. I could tell drive thru has priority now because that is where all the employees were standing. My food was good, just the tenders seemed small! I ordered extra sauce and it was in the bag thankfully. But there's only one trash station in the whole dining area, none outside either. So if you're in need of throwing away your trash, it's on the drive thru door side. Lastly, the cashier taking orders wasn't giving customers their drinks. He was waiting until they received their food, but I politely asked if I could go ahead and get my drink cups since my kiddos had been looking forward to a sweet drink. I noticed quite a few upset customers who were standing around trying to get their drink cups while the cashier was at the drive thru window. Disappointing because I used to love zaxbys, but this location doesn't have the same staff as previous visits. Customer service kept me coming back and paying $10 for a Big Zak Snak, but I'm not so sure about it anymore. Raising Cane's will probably be my go-to since it is closer and has better customer service, even though I'd prefer Zaxbys sauces. read more

Stopped by Zaxby's recently and had a really good experience. The restaurant was clean, upbeat, and had a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to enjoy the meal. The food came out hot and fresh, especially the chicken and fries which were full of flavor. The service was also great the staff was friendly, patient, and made sure everything was correct with my order. Overall, a solid spot in Keller for quick food with great customer service and they are open late until like 1am in the morning read more

Genuinely the worst experience I have ever had. The guy taking my order kept pausing to laugh when I was ordering. Then we get to the window and they tell us to wait by the railing, which is fine! BUT when I pulled up to the railing, the guy was carrying out a loaded trash bag in one hand and my food in the other. He refused to go around the railing and made me reach half way out of my car for the food. Then he forgot my drink so he went back to get it. He again refused to go around the railing and ends up spilling my drink all over me and my car because he was busy on his phone at the same time. So gross, so awful, AND the food was cold and hard. First-time customer! I Ordered the $12.99 MrBeast box. My box included 4 chicken fingerz, crinkle fries, half order of fried white cheddar bites, feastables milk chocolate bar, 2 slices of Texas toast, a small diet dr. pepper, with zax and spicy zax sauce. The feastables milk chocolate bar reminded me of a hershey bar but slightly better surprisingly. Every item was hot and fresh. The chicken fingerz were crispy and juicy. Not sure how long Zaxby's will offer the MrBeast box. But I sincerely enjoyed it minus the white cheddar bites. I ordered through the drive-thru but decided to go in to check the place out. We had heard of Zaxbys but kept forgetting there was one in the Southlake/Keller area. My husband had wanted to try it out so we stopped. Staff was friendly and they let us know about deals on the apps to help save some money. I like that they have multiple sauce choices, and they have a freestyle coke machine which had some non-soda options. read more

I was out and about when I spotted with my little eye, Zaxby's. So we waltzed in to see what the hubbub, was all about. We were promptly greeted by Ms. Bella, with the sweetest of smiles and ready to serve, as well as Mr. Mackie. The appearance is was the store was squared away neat and orderly, with the exception, the men's bathroom had a distinct order. Nevertheless, we took the time to dine in and we had the Big Zax Snack meal with spiced fries a piece of toast and soda pop and lemon pepper wings, spiced fries, toast and soda pop. The fingers and fries are were hot, fresh, and definitely beats out the competition! That Zaxbys sauce is highly desirable as well. So why the low marks? First of all, skips the wings, I mean it's not their thing at all! And secondly, and I mean this... Don't dine inside! They need to do something about the smell situation plus they aren't the best at keeping the place tidy so now I'm imagining what the back of the house might look/smell like. my daughter really wanted zaxbys so we drove 37 Mins to eat at the restaurant upon arriving, we found out the lobby was closed for renovations. I feel like there should've been some kind of notice on the site so anyways, we got our food and ate in the parking lot. The portions were super tiny. Surprised to try this years after it opened. I think it was that "not another chicken place" mentality, but my husband had a coupon so he got me the Asian Zensation salad because I do not like chicken fingers or buffalo wings. PROS: I really love the taste. I like that they offer grilled as well as fried. Most places only offer fried. Tasty dressing. It completely fills you up! The Asian slaw, honey-sesame teriyaki glaze and crispy wontons elevate it from a side salad to an entree. CONS: I did not love that the person at the window had no clue what salad dressing went with this salad so thankfully my husband asked for a selection of several. For future reference, it is the Citrus Vinaigrette! If you are looking for a healthy or nutritional alternative at 67 g of fat, 1220 calories and 2980 mg of sodium THIS IS NOT IT! SUMMARY OF REASON FOR RATING: I want so bad to give it a five for great flavor but in good conscience, I don't want ANYONE with a heart condition to eat this salad at all off my review. I cannot live with the heavy burden of being the indirect reason for someone's demise by salad. Specifically why I am not posting the picture. Plus the service is bad. That's the difference between me quietly putting up with this place every week (because my daughter loves it) and deciding instead to call them out for their miserable failings as a restaurant. The worst is up first... The bathrooms! Jesus! If King Kong regurgitated half a ton of diapers loaded with diarrhea, it couldn't possibly top the stench. First thing I do in any restaurant is wash my hands, but in this place the smell hits my gut like a belly flop from the Empire State Building. Next up is the service... There must be a contest to see who is better at ignoring customers. I've literally had to lean over the counter to get some attention only to witness the lone attendant tucked in a corner with her nose buried in her cell phone. 'Scuse me, just need to order some food over here... Seriously, the cook sees me standing there for an eternity and doesn't bother to say a thing. I would like to offer an honorable mention on service, though. On multiple occasions I've had someone come out to try and fix the soda machine. But the dang soda machine... What the heck is up with that thing? I've been coming here for months and it's always either on the fritz or out of 50% of the options. Repair it or get it replaced! And what about the 35 cents? We'll, that's how much I was asked to pay for one lousy container of sauce. It has probably always cost that, but I've never been charged. Today, they had a big ol' sign to let you know it costs extra. My meal didn't come with any so I came back to the counter, waited the requisite eternity, then was told I have to pay 35 cents. No, thanks. Keep your sauce. Matter of fact, keep your food. Keep ignoring your bathrooms, your broken machines, and your customers. Just awful!!!! The place is filthy. The restrooms smell and they obviously haven't been cleaned in some time! The portions are tiny (half of what the pictures show). The salad had about the amount of one chicken strip on it. The chicken sandwich was puny (look at pics) and the chicken strips were obviously cut in half. The "toast" was a soggy piece of bread and I attempted to get a new one-nope-another soggy piece! The staff was worthless as well. We will NEVER be back!!!!! read more

The food was average the chicken strips were very small. I was a little sad that they were out of just about everything on their freestyle machine. I would say that the number one is not worth the $10 spent the best part of the whole meal was that they actually tossed the strips in Buffalo sauce. The sweet tea was good. Haven't been here in a while and it sounded good. Not much has changed. Service is still barely average. The food has always ranged from good to mediocre. I'd give this go round a 3. The fingers were ok. They seem smaller than I remember. Fries were barely warm, but the toast was excellent! One thing many people may like is the Coke dream machine. So many choices!! I'll come back. Pretty much every table was dirty and the trash was full. I wiped down a table on my own. They did empty trash while I was there. The chicken seemed a lot smaller then Canes, the sauces seem very similar and they charge for additional sauce. I also ordered the nuclear sauce which wasn't bad as I really like spice! I really wanted to like Zaxby's, on a road trip this past fall my brother grabbed Zaxby's to eat while I drove. It smelled good, but I had already eaten. Fast forward to yesterday, we had a long arduous day, and had not been able to eat anything all day. When I got to the light at Keller Parkway, and 377N, I really needed to make a left turn on to KP, but then that god forsaken, soul sucking, mood draining, fun blocking, attitude ruining, self harm inducing, train came lumbering along in no particular hurry to get out of anyones way. I mean, 4:00pm is the BEST time to have a mile and a half long train come along as a slow rolling road block across as many East/west major thoroughfares as possible, it's the Keller middle finger to your day. I was tired, and had past hungry at least three times, so we banked a right on Keller Parkway in search of something to eat. When I spotted Zaxby's I instantly recalled how good my brothers meal smelled back in November, and that memory took over and drove me right to the drive thru line! I ordered a 3 piece, and my brother (yes the same one in the fall) ordered the spicy version of the sandwich combo. Service was good, the cashier seemed embarrassed to have to charge 0.25¢ for a ranch dressing, but it's ok girl, we know you don't make these ludicrous decisions when folks spend just under $20 for 3, 1-1/2 to 2" long tenders, a sammich and a handful of fries. The ranch was worth it, good flavor, sadly, I still have 90% of the contents of the little container. Those were the tiniest little bits of tenders I've ever seen. The flavor was decent, like a preview, I have 7-8 crinkle cut fries, and a piece of toast. So really my rating is on the actual chicken, speaking of chicken, did y'all know Zaxby's is a CHICKEN based restaurant, meaning, that's the star of the show, the main event, the GO AND TELL EVERYBODY WE ARE CHICKEN. Just make sure when you do, let them know to try a sandwich if they are hungry, cuz their tenders contain less actual chicken then the preformed nuggets we all grew up on. This is probably my worst review, I love Yelp, and I adore spotlighting businesses. Wish this could have been like so many of my other reviews. We have placed online orders and picked up in the drive through twice recently. Both times, our food was ready quickly, and everything was exactly as ordered (including the extra sauces ordered). I don't eat chicken, but my family really enjoyed it. I love their fries, toast, and cheese curds! The zax sauce is the best to dip fries in! Meal started out as 3 stars but the more we ate the less we liked what we were eating. I had an order of 10 wings, Thuy had the "Wings and Things" (the "things" were chicken strips). The wings were dry and not very enjoyable. The tenders were just average tenders and the Zax Sauce (which comes with the tenders) lacked personality. In the end the best part of the meal was the celery sticks. And yeah, for a less than enjoyable meal, we thought it was expensive ($14.59, no drinks). On the plus side it's a very clean restaurant and the people working there were courteous and helpful (this kept it from being a 1-star review). Is that enough to bring you in? I pulled into drive thru always wanting to try this place. Looks nice on the outside. Wish I read reviews before I ordered. The employee Haley took my order and was so annoyed " anything else! If you like spicy food, I recommend this plus a side of their nuclear sauce. It's super flavorful and spicy. I ordered their house zalad for the first time today, it was great. It has lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, shredded cheese, onion & grilled chicken. You are able to get fried chicken if you'd like, instead of the grilled. The zalad was pretty big, I ended up only eating half of it. If you like chicken and trying out new sauces, this is your place. I'd say it's better than Raising Canes. read more
