This is one of our favorite Greek restaurants in the entire metroplex. My wife and I had one of our first dates here many years ago and still come back for the exceptional food and service. This is BYOB so be sure to bring your favorite drink with you. It was slightly louder than normal on a Friday night but that's just because of the tables that were louder than normal. They had a piano player that was really nice. It might have to do with my hearing not being the best at older age too! We started with the combination appetizer plate of Babaganoosh, Tzatziki, Hummus. It come with a big basket of fresh pita bread. Oh my loved every bite. The bread was warm and the dips were so tasty. I had the pita plate with the best meat I can remember. My wife loved her mixed grilled/combo plate with soulvlaki chicken, soulvlaki beef, kefta kebab. I tried this place in 2023, and I really wanted to love it. The exterior is absolutely charming. Tucked away in Keller like a hidden gem, the kind of cozy little spot that makes you excited to try something new. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the promise. And I was soooo bummed because Mediterranean food is my fave. And having gone to both Greece and Turkey many times, I was hopeful. The food was the problem. The vegetables were severely overcooked. The chicken was dry, and the rice was unfortunately crunchy. My husband had similar complaints about his meal, so overall it was a disappointing experience. It's a shame, because the place itself has such potential. I really wanted this to be a new local favorite. I will definitely go back with a friend, and try it again once day. On the bright side, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, truly some of the most hospitable service we've experienced. Upon entering for dinner, we were greeted and seated quickly. They have both tables and booths. She took our drink order (they do NOT serve alcohol, but you can BYOB it). We ordered some hummus (the pita bread is warm, fresh and free) and then ordered our main course which came with a salad or soup choice. Everything was fresh and delicious! First time visiting Café Medi and I was very impressed. I ordered the lamb shank, lentil soup, baba ghanoush, and a few other appetizers. Everything was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. What a beautiful display of the magic of the holiday season at this authentic Mediterranean restaurant located in downtown Keller. Our server was so helpful and attentive, and the food was exquisite. The meza plate is a must, with all three dips to try. The hot dolmas are made with such love. I think the Mousaka was the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating. This place is so cute and conveniently located right in the heart of Downtown Keller! This place is BYOB! They do charge a nominal uncorking fee but we didn't know it was BYOB until after we were already there haha they had live music the night we came, which was a Friday but I cant say what other days they have this. The entrees come with your choice of soup or salad. I got the lemon chicken soup (phenomenal!) and my husband got the tomato basil (it was good, but not my favorite tomato basil that I've ever had. I've tried many of tomato soups in my life.) You also get warm pita bread to munch on while you're waiting for your meal! My husband got the red snapper special with the crab meat add on. The red snapper was good but the shining star of the meal was definitely the crab meat! Omg, did it add to the meal! The Greek potatoes were good but nothing to write home about personally. They were just regular potatoes with some "Greek" seasonings on it and didn't seem that special to me. I got the Gyro plate and it was super good! The meat was perfect with good flavor and the tzatziki sauce was light too! We of course couldn't leave without getting dessert! We tried their baklava and it was very good! A little bit on the tough side for the bottom layers. There was a slight twist to their baklava that was different from others that I've had before but I couldnt quite put my finger on it. Coworkers and I wanted to meet for lunch yesterday to catch up. We decided that we wanted Mediterranean food and chose the closest location to the 3rd coworker's location. The location of Cafe Medi is really cute! It's on a street where homes have been converted to businesses. We were promptly greeted upon entering and drink orders were taken. Once drinks were delivered, our food orders were taken. I chose the mixed grill entree with salad. Our meals were delivered within a reasonable time and we all enjoyed our meals! After perusing the reviews, I got the chicken schwarma sandwich and upgraded my order to include the small lemon rice soup. The order came with a bag of pita bread and garlic sauce. When we walked into this place, it smelled badly. I don't know if it's their cleaner or the bathroom or the drains. It was off putting. The bathroom hand soap was blue dish soap. The service was off at first, but in the end she was nice. The food was okay. We didn't really like the gyros. They tasted kind of microwaved. Not one piece was crispy. I see a lot of positive reviews, but the older waitress that works lunch was so incredibly rude, my father and I left without placing the order. We were trying to, but I asked about gluten free options and if they had a dedicated fryer and things went sideways. We went here to celebrate a friend's birthday, outside the restaurant is white and blue giving the Santorini feels. We got table and placed order for appetisers, they came pretty quick and we ordered fried cheese and spinach filled pastries. Ordered main course, Lamb Shank was definitely awesome but I would like to highlight how much I enjoyed beans and rice that comes on the side. Beans just seemed to have garlic and tomatoes but i never that that taste before. All the entrees come with Salad or Soup. We all decided to have soup. I had Lemon Rice, others had tomato basil and cream of mushroom soups. And all the soups were delicious. Lemon rice soup was perfectly tangy and I think flavour of dill made it even tasty. It was a friday night so parking was a but tight but not bad. I would go here again to taste more authentic Mediterranean food and click some pretty pics outside the cafe! read more

My wife and came here a few weeks ago. It was rather spontaneous for us. It was also disappointing. I don't know but something about a hand written "help wanted" sign on the front door should have been a clue for us but we trekked inside anyways. Our waiter was young and although he tried his best, he was very akward. Then one of our water cups had a long black hair in it and one appetizer dish was dirty and greasy. It was 530pm and the sun was hitting the windows directly, showing off filth and dust on the window, blinds and window sill. All this filth was a few inches from our food. The food wasn't horrible but just plain boring. Green beans seemed like what you'd get from a seniors cafeteria. The kitchen doesn't appear to have any interest in presentation as the dishes were cafeteria monochrome... Brown and boring. Slightly above something from Lubys cafeteria. Not horrible but not worth price. If they slash their prices by 50% then I'd say this is a cheap, ethnic hole in the wall where you're not too concerned about filthy windows, just decent flavorful food. But, this place does want to cater to Friday and Saturday date nights so they really need to step up their game. We won't be going back. read more

The last 2 times we have eaten here. The food quality doesn't seem to be as good in the past. We always order 3-4 Souvlaki Chicken plates. I don't know if they have Sold this place after the remodel or not, but it's definitely not the same. We've been getting this dish since they have opened.
