I absolutely love the vegetarian plate. I get to have a little bit of everything I want when I am craving this type of food: rice, tabouleh, hummus, baba ganoush, domas, falafel, pita, and tzatziki. And all that for only $13! I also really like the falafel salad (side of falafel on the menu) for a more straightforward lighter meal or the chicken shawarma plate for when I want to go non-veg. Holy smokes this place is delicious! It doesn't look like much, but everything we ordered was delicious. My husband had a traditional gyro and I did a beef gyro with Greek fries. The fries were so testy and flavorful: Greek fries come with tzatziki and parsley. I was a bit hesitant about it at first, but the combo is truly elite. The gyro was also amazing. My husband loved his traditional gyro. I did beef just because I'm not a big fan of lamb. The lamb is all cooking on a traditional shawarma machine/vertical broiler and looked incredibly tender. The biggest thing for me was how fresh everything was. The beef was cooked right when I ordered. Even the fries went in the fryer right after we ordered everything. If you're looking for a place to order from on DoorDash, try this place out! The Shawarma Beef Plate was plentiful and had a good consistency throughout. It was delicious and healthy. Though a bit on the saltier side, the Greek Fries were amazing. My only complaint, which is extremely minor, is that some pieces of fries were seasoned more than others which is sometimes typical. The rice is a beautiful color, I love yellow. Long grain rice is very good for my body. Can be split between two people. Falafel Sandwich - I treat this more as a topping more than my meat substitution, very rarely would I order this but I do like Falafel so I took up on the offer!! They are huge! The only thing better than a local favorite spot with great food, is a new location of that local favorite spot a couple blocks from your house. We were thrilled to see the Stop-N-Go sign two doors down from the Starbucks around the corner. It took us a month to stop by. But we were glad we did. I know nothing about running a restaurant business, but am amazed when a new place can reproduce the same experience in different locations. We love the food at Stop-N-Go, and have been frequenting the Rufe Snow location for over a year. The new Beach St. store delivered identical food and service. We are big Mediterranean food fans, the Americanized gyro handheld being a major player in our fascination. Stop-N-Go also provides some of the best falafels I've ever tasted. And, their fries are positively addicting, especially with the in-house garlic sauce. It seemed the few other customers who came in were already regulars. The manager was personable and took an interest in us. One improvement at this location is a self-service drink station. We will be back! read more
