    King Tut combo
    Karla H.

Five stars all around the service, food and attention to detail was top notch. The staff attended to all of our requests extremely well and they paid very close attention to dietary restrictions. We ordered a Maza plate as an appetizer, which rocked! I ordered the King Tut combo because I can never make up my mind. Only thing I didn't do was to ask for my beef to be cooked medium rare but the chicken was very tender. Also, I like my pita bread to have just a little kiss of char on the outside, just my preference. My first time tonight and I look forward to coming back soon. See pictures attached.

A fantastic gyro place. Obviously they serve other Mediterranean dishes, but personally I always go for the gyro because it is best in class for me. Amazingly well prepared and served with extra salad or fries or rice, your choice. I have to say, the kitschy sarcophagus and other Egyptian ephemera are a corny but wonderful addition to the decor. I just love this place. My highest recommendation.

we were on magnolia street looking for dinner, and while our first choice was italian food, the line to get seated was too long so we opted for this place instead. this place is located at the end of magnolia street, and when we first walked up, it looked a bit run down from the outside with metal grates. however, the inside felt like it transported you to a different country. i loved all the interior decor. they had murals and statues of Egyptian pharaohs, which was extremely unique. as for the food, it was all right. we ended up getting a chicken shawarma pita sandwich and a regular beef shawarma plate. the plate came with a salad and fries or rice (i opted for the fries). the salad was refreshing and light. the chicken shawarma was seasoned with tahini, and was a bit messy to eat. the beef shawarma was seasoned with some onions and tomatos and also came with a side of tahini. Service was good, they came by to check and were extremely friendly. what i didn't like about this place is that they didn't serve regular water. they said since covid, they don't give out free water. so, if you want water, you'll need to pay for it. it was such a weird experience to pay for water, especially in america. i would understand if we were in europe, but come on... i don't think i've been to any restaurant in america where you need to pay for water.

Place is situated in a bustling shopping center. The space is clean and has a softly lit ambiance. The service was excellent. My husband ordered the King Combo dinner portion--which included sliced beef and a side of French fries--while I enjoyed the Chicken Kabob with a side of vegetables. The food was both healthy and satisfying. I highly recommend it if you're craving Mediterranean cuisine.

    Baklava, highly recommended

Great Mediterranean food. Definitely get the baba ganoush and the hummus, served with warm pitas. When you get chicken schwarma, make sure you put the tahini on top to add the flavor. Baklava was fresh and homemade. The phyllo was crispy and a lot of nut filling. Highly recommended. Our waitress was attentive and friendly . The restaurant was big and nicely decorated with Egyptian "artifacts "

Mixed grilled plate- veggies were amazing but the steak was dry.

We were in the neighborhood and wanted Medi food and decided to stop here. A tiny bit expensive for what you get, but the food was pretty good. I ordered the mixed meat platter and it looked the best out of what everyone got. The best part was probably the grilled vegetables honestly, which were seasoned really well and tender. The chicken was okay but the steak was definitely a bit dry. Also seasoned well, but for the price, I'd expect it to be a bit more tender. My boyfriend ordered one of their lunch specials which was smaller on the portion size but he seemed to enjoy his kofta and fries. My friends ordered a falafel salad and didn't have an issue. Yes, they charge for water here which I'm never a fan of, but I get it. I suppose. The service was great and I wouldn't be upset visiting this place again.

Omgosh! Talk about delicious. The appetizers, Cucumber dip, meat pies and Dolmas were sooooo good and tasty. Our salad arrived and I can't be going to tell you how fresh and good it was. The dressing, so tasty I asked if they sold it by itself? And of course they did and of course I got a bottle to go! Moussaka with okra was seasoned to pure perfection and put a huge smile on my face. It's one of my favorite Mediterranean dishes. Service, warm and friendly and super attentive. My new favorite restaurant! I'll be back!

If you've been wanting to try this place like I have for a while I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. The lunch specials were reasonably priced and the food was very tasty. I got the chicken shawarma and it came out nice and hot. The salad sever before it was very crisp and tasty and the dressing on the salad was nice. We got the hummus and it was obviously made fresh along with the pita bread that came out warm and soft. Overall this place has great food. The vibe is ok. I wouldn't go here for a date or a ice night out but for lunch it definitely hit the spot. Probably would be good to-go also.

Food: delicious! Vegetarian options clearly spelled out. Falafel Plate. Shawarma Lunch, a little oily, but refreshing with the double salad option. Freekah Soup was amazing. Hearty and really hit the spot. Everything comes with pita so it's all very filling. Baklava is a must if you have a sweet tooth! Service: they are fast! Ambiance: a cute place nicely decorated with Egyptian aesthetic. We stopped here for a quick lunch meeting.

A while back I went and the vegetable combo had gone up to $20! Now it's back down to $16 so I'm back. The food is as good as ever. Homemade everything. Two versions of hummus, regular and spicy, and both are delicious! Tatziki, tabouli and garbanzo salad as well as stuffed grape leaves, chicken and beet salad. And hot sides are also available on the veggie plate! Rice pilaf, roasted cauliflower, eggplant and several more. The cauliflower was amazing! If you get a meat they have many but the tenderloin kabab ("beef kabab"") was a huge hit at my table. Cooked to perfection on the charcoal grill. Just fabulous. They've got shwarma, gyro sandwiches and even more delicious meats and the freshest vegetables. The pita bread is fresh from the oven- a steaming hot pillow of goodness. They have several types of canned and bottled drinks including yogurt drink and San Pelligrino, a couple of iced teas, lemonade and various fountain drink choices. No alcohol here. If you have never been, go and if you've been, go back because it's definitely worth the visit. It is a great place to enjoy tasty homemade Lebanese, Mediterranean and Greek food. Oh! One final note: the staff is friendly and welcoming. I felt so comfortable and relaxed because they really make you feel at home .

The salad was ok. The zucchini was loaded with cilantro. I hate cilantro. Very disappointed in that. My husband's food on the other hand was a big let down. He had Greek salad, zucchini, eggplant, lamb shank and curry chicken. Zucchini - he doesn't like cilantro either. The eggplant was too bitter to eat. The lamb shank was very tender but flavorless. The curry chicken was dry, despite being in a sauce and flavorless. And to add insult to injury both meats came with a hefty upcharge.

Well I hope it is isolated and not because they are growing too fast. I'd give 3.5 stars for this visit if I could. There was more staff than I've ever seen before however things seemed a little chaotic. One waitress rushed by the counter and knocked straws all over the floor - she saw she did it and didn't stop or come back to pick them up - one of the guys picked them up when he went by. There was a table that was uncleared nearly our entire meal - and the plates still had some food on them which I thought was unusual (I'm used to seeing clean plates or to-go bags). Our waitress was chaotic - hyper, rushed, and distracted. Not giving normal Fattoush vibes. The hummus was delicious as usual. Beautiful, & velvety. Their hummus has become my standard for what it should be. The grape leaves were extremely tart - tasted like a mouth full of vinegar. I haven't ordered them in a while and am hoping this is not a recipe change. Finished one & couldn't eat any more. The garlic dip was tamed way down. Made me sad because I like the stronger garlic. Again, hoping this is a one-off. An owner at another local establishment had told me that many tame it down because of the American palate. I can understand needing to find that balance of staying authentic vs please customers but I'm going to need the secret password to get the real stuff! Lol. (But seriously - if you know it, please let me know!) After trying their burger awhile back, my Mom hasn't been able to order anything but that as her entree. It is great. Steak fries are same as straight up American steak fries and good. She said next time she'll get the sauce on the side because it was heavy handed this time and overpowered the delicious meat. Bun wasn't holding up as it usually does. The chicken shish tawook was good as always however I was missing the bite from garlic dip. I love their rice! They have great yellow rice too. My husband and I shared and had some to bring home for one lunch. I got a piece of Iraqi bread because I've never ordered it before- it was really good! Served warm and bigger than large dinner plate. On our way out, while we were checking out the beautiful patio and new area to come, we had a 5 STAR moment when we saw Chef Bashar. I asked him if he'd consider doing a borek appetizer sometime as we had a delicious cigar (bc it was rolled) borek at a place in Dallas. He was very open to the idea and said they will be having 2 different menus when the new concept opens and adding more vegetable options. He also noticed my husband looking at the Palastine Cola in the drink case and told him to take one home and try. I thought this was extremely nice and generous. I look forward to continuing to support this great local business and believe this night was just an off night. Located in Arlington, the restaurant is divided in 2 sections and the place has quite a casual and local vibe We, a party of 5 were immediately seated and the server aptly took our order. As we were famished, we ordered..a lot: -Mazza Plate -Falafel -Fries -Gyro Special Plate -2 Chicken Shawarma(Bank Special) plate (comes with Rice, Hummus, Tzatziki sauce and Pita) -Falafel Plate - Gyro Sandwich Dessert: -Baklava -Burma Since we love spicy, we asked for our food to be spiced up. 5-10 mins later, the food began to arrive. First impression was the portion size was huge. At the onset we knew we ordered too much. The Mazza plate was amazing with assortment of Middle-Eastern appetizers i.e. hummus, babaganoush, tabouli salad, dolmas, with kalamata olives and pita. We absolutely loved the dimas and the hummus and pita bread was fresh. The Shawarma plates were pretty decent and the chicken and gyro meats were well cooked and seasoned, however the spicy sauce they use was a bit more on the tangy side than on spicy side. Which was a let down. Falafels we crunchy and were pretty decent. The fries however were huge let down. They were too oily and the taste of overused oil was pretty evident. The best part for us were the desserts. The Baklava was great but the Burma blew us away. The roasted Cashes and angel hair with honey was truly delicious. To Foodies: This is quite a famous place for middle easter food, main reason being it was covered by The food network. Do try their Shawarma Plate , especially Gyro plate, it is pretty awesome. Also the quantity is good. However, I would recommend to stay away from fries or be careful of deep fried items. Do try the desserts, you'll fall in love. Overall, it is a good place but I have had much better. May be the standards have gone down a bit over the years. To Management: You have a wonderful staff, good location and the food is pretty decent..However I'd recommened to keep a check on your oil used for deep fried stuff. The fries were a huge let down. One bite and i frlt that bad taste of oil at the back of my throat. Also please revamp your spicy sauce a bit. Too much vinegar. Overall Rating: 6.5/10 Signing off Rahul V.S. aka CanIndian Foodie
