Chicken kabob

I'd say this spot is a solid alright. The food is good, the service is fast and friendly. The restaurant space is SUPER SMALL but they made the best out of the space they have. It was really good, their garlic sauce is great. Overall, not bad.

First time here and I'm blown away. Everything was so good! Quick service. No visible restroom (maybe you have to ask to go to the back? Not sure if it's employee only?) Clean. Friendly service. Food was hot. I will definitely come back. And I recommend others to come give it a try! Lamp chops had a perfect charred. Chicken sharmwa wasn't dry! Super tasty. Baba ghanoush was also pretty tasty. And is the only thing I remembered to take a picture of LOL. Everything came out smelling good so we digged right in.

Beef kofta lunch special, hummus, kibbe, and tomato soup
Desiree E.

Everything was so fresh & yummy (and I tried a lot)!! I had the beef kofta lunch special with tomato soup. I also got the kibbe and a small hummus all of which was delicious. Then I tried the garlic sauce, pomegranate sauce, and the spicy sauce all of which were amazing!

Called in a order for 2 of the creamy chicken shawarma's .. we get it they say that we said regular okay cool ... we are gonna eat it anyways but when we go to eat it the chicken is hard stale looking you can tell it either sat out or they way over cooked it. The girl who says she is the daughter of the owner argues my husband down No they cant remake it Then we move to ok give us our money back bc she argued soooo much. Then she says she can't give the money back.. she calls someone and they say she can't give give half back bc they made the food already . But it was THEIR mistake so 1 my food should be remade or i should've received ALL my money back. They were not budging. Thats just bad for business in my opinion. The food is good normally first time we had an issue but the fact we spent $40 on 2 plates and they couldnt make it right we will never go back.

Not many Mediterranean restaurants close by and was happy to hear this place opened! The space itself is small. Only a few tables. I noticed they did a lot of to go orders while we ate. You can taste the flavors in the baba ghanoush. We tried the gyro plate with Greek salad and the kabob sandwich! Both were delicious.

Definitely a tasty casual gem in the SW Fort Worth area. Friendly staff & efficient kitchen that made tasty dishes. Order meal then sit yourself. My mixed grill with lentil soup (mild & thin with fried pita) came with lamb, chicken, & beef koftka was very tasty with a light rice to highlight the flavor.we also ordered the beef koftka with fries & lentil soup. Our 6 y/o liked the soup & meats and fries (of course). Glad to have this delicious Mediterranean option in Fort Worth!

Low quality of food The atmosphere is bad in the restaurant you don't even see what they're cooking inside and the view in front of the store you look towards a dumpster full of trash didn't like it at all they serve the food for dining in plastic plates so low for Mediterranean food and poor service and over priced definitely

The worst service. Do not waste your time. Front desk messed up the order with a very confusing ordering process, accepted the returned food, would not replace it the correct order nor refund and any money at all. All they said was "sorry". Spent a total of $75 and only one persons meal was correct. Huge letdown!

Food was delicious and fresh! Wish the place had a bit more ambiance for date nights.

Good quick serve Mediterranean place! My chicken schwarma wrap with rice was tasty. Not the best I've had, but good. Clean, new place. Service was quick.

The crunchy onions that retain structure was absolutely divine. I could eat this everyday. Brisket - we didn't get a fatty piece which I liked because it allowed me to not get full easily Sichuan Lamb Ribs - softest lamb I have ever had (that wasn't in a curry) and the rub on it was not only the perfect amount but a perfect blend Tandoori Turkey - this was really moist and not spicy, great choice for those who do not like red meat Seekh Kabob Sausage - the casing was well done and the flavor profile wasn't overpowering, sometimes desi spices can overtake the meat and that was not the case here (no pun intended) Kochumber salad - well seasoned and I am so glad it is on the menu because you need a fresh element to palate cleanse and cut through bbq fat They open at 11am and the line started forming 10:30am, it moves at a good pace. We were also instructed with what's on the menu and the parking situation which I thought was professional and well organized. We found some seating in the area next to the truck.

"Sabar BBQ: Where the lamb ribs made me want to high five a stranger."…read more TL;DR: Get there early, order the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, let Zain carve you a plate of happiness, and prepare to have your taste buds do a Texas two-step with Pakistani spices. Worth every minute of the wait. This one's climbing my top 50 list faster than a brisket disappears at a family reunion. After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.

Today it was my choice for Mother's Day. We were greeted right away and before I even started the order, they gave me some flowers. That was a really nice touch of service. We got the brisket and pork belly burnt ends because we had loved them before. Today we also tried the garlic black pepper sausage and I got a birria taco. I loved the taco and will definitely be back for this. The pork belly burnt ends are the best I have ever had, and that is why we keep coming back.

She turned a bad day into a great one in just a matter of seconds. Thanks Demi. The first thing I noticed is they have new menus. Detailed and easy to read. We opted to try "the Jefe". It's a combination of ribs, pulled pork, burnt ends, brisket, turkey and sausage. Our sides consisted of Green beans, potato salad, tater tot casserole, cabbage and Hatch green chili Mac n cheese. Also ordered a Texas Twinkie! Hurtados knows BBQ. Ribs are tender and tasty and MOIST! The perfect combination. Their burnt ends are other worldly. My absolute favorite. A slight sweet but tangy outer layer that makes your eyes roll back in your head. The Pulled pork equally as good. The turkey...drum roll is the best in Fort Worth. The brisket has the perfect outer crust while maintaining a moistness. Finally the Texas Twinkie....a stuffed jalapenos with pimento cheese and wrapped in bacon cooked in a BBQ sauce outer coating. Scrumptious! Damn, it's sooooo good. Here's where Hurtado rises above other BBQ's restaurants...(besides having great customer service) is their sides. The potato salad is Devine. Deliciously Devine. It has a little kick and is a mashed potato salad that is soooo dang flavorful. We literally almost fell out of our chairs when we tried the tater tot casserole. Unique in all the right ways. A MUST TRY! Green beans, cabbage, beans all BBQ staples and delicious in their own right. Their BBQ sauces, peach habanero, sweet n spicy and Aztec gold compliments the meats perfectly. I'm not a sauce kinda guy but was pleasantly surprised with theirs. The restaurant is small and they recently added more seating. It was packed with a nice flow of customers. Happy customers.

I follow the chef/owner on Instagram (@kafibbq), and the amount of effort and detail he puts into his craft has resulted in multiple return visits for me. This review is for my latest visit. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi BBQ can be found in a shopping strip in Irving-Valley Ranch. Only opened Friday - Sunday, on my most recent Sunday visit around dinner time, Kafi was packed. The patrons were a great mix of families, BBQ lovers, and those looking for high quality Halal meats. Smoke was in the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super friendly and nice. Pro Tip - Go for lunch or before 6 before items are sold out. A few items were sold out on my most recent visit (my fault I arrived at 6:45) and the staff weren't aware of what was available, leading to some confusion, but they were so nice it didn't impact my meal. 1 Star. Food - By now, you've probably read or heard about Kafi's Wagyu Brisket. For me, I love following @kafibbq on Instagram so I can see what Salahodeen is cooking up. On this visit, it was the Brisket Sandwich. First off, the house baked bread roll is soft, but firm enough to hold Kafi's famous brisket on a pile of home made cole slaw and pickles. The result was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've eaten. The bite was soft, smokey, crunchy, and tart (from the pickles). It was a special, and I'm not sure if Kafi will keep this on the menu, but I hope they do. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's pricey, but it's worth it. While the brisket is great, I suggest you follow them on Instagram to see what's cooking and plan your visit around the specialty items. 1 Star.
