Final look of the manakish after I put in all the toppings.
Roger A.

Never disappointed when I get something at Chadra's. I was craving an old favorite so I called in an order of the manakish. Soooo good. I also got a side of olives and feta for toppings. EVERYTHING IS GOOD HERE.

First time trying this place out !! My gf recommended it one day when we were close by and hungry!! They have family style atmosphere and it was a little loud for us inside that day so we sat on the patio .. We both chose the lunch Buffett that had plenty of options with fresh ingredients!! You could make a variety of salads and there were plenty of veggies and meats to choose from as well !! I loved the mushrooms and meatballs the most ! I'll be happy to go back !!

About as A-Ok a dining experience as I could have. Just arriving at the place after driving through the dinginess of South Ft. Worth inspires enough relief to gain an extra star. Food was bland, uninspired, and a strange mix of middle eastern, Italian, and Pizza Hut. Just pick one and make it extraordinary. No music. Eager to please waitress may as well had a poster: "I need tips in a buffet restaurant where you do everything for yourself!!"

Came here to celebrate my uncle's birthday. Our family was looking for something inexpensive, delicious and with meatless options. This place was suggested by my cousin and it was a hit. The service was absolutely amazing, everyone was super friendly. The portions were very generous and the food tasted delicious. I had the Penne a la Vodka and it was quite tasty. The Margarita I had was pretty okay, a little on the strong side. Overall great place with good food and a friendly atmosphere.

I had heard many good things about this place from a coworker and off Yelp. We came right as they opened on a Friday. We all got the buffet ($12). Several of the dishes were not out on the buffet yet. We waited patiently for them to all come out, piping hot and fresh. The buffet was smaller than I was imagining. It's an interesting fusion of foods: Indian, Italian, and Mediterranean. They have a vegan area (salad bar, veggies, fruit, hummus), a variety of meats/fish along the back wall, and an italian section (pasta/garlic knots/pizza). Many of the dishes are very oily/greasy especially the meats/fish. This is usually the case with these styles of food. They also don't have any dessert on the buffet! I hear their homemade ice cream is pretty yummy, but I was way too full and it was for an extra charge. My favorites were: the stuffed salmon (it's topped with lots of paprika and loaded with cheese and spinach), I loved the sautéed mushrooms (very garlicky!), the garlic knots (salty, pillowy, fresh), and the pizza. The pizza crust was light, crunchy, and had good flavor. Overall, this place appeared clean and the food was fresh. While I did like it, I don't know if I liked it enough to come back. If I was to come back, I would for sure try their desserts.

Desert: Dates on left, and a surprising good poached candied pumpkin on the right.

We were visiting someone in the hospital (Baylor, Scott & White), it was getting late, and we were hungry. I wanted something close, walking distance (we've been sitting all day), possibly Mediterranean. The Yelp "open now" filter worked great. The closest option closed at 9PM, and it was nearing that hour. Next was Chadra, just a couple blocks away, and open until 10PM. Perfect. As we walk in, on Wednesday night, a bit more than hour from closing, I was surprised to see several tables still occupied. Good sign. Then I was surprised to see what looks like a buffet. Bad sign. Neither Thuy nor myself are fans of buffets. But, there is pizza on the buffet, and I am a fan of pizza. So we settle in and are given menus. We ask about the buffet, and learn on this night (Wednesday) it's $8.00. Well that seems like a deal. We take a look, and in addition to pizza, there are salad greens, pasta, and gyro meat. Looks pretty good, so we go for it. The pizza was OK, but the pasta was the winner. It was a basic penne pasta, but the sauce, a red sauce, was divine. I went back for seconds, maybe thirds. There was also hummus, which was good. We did not see pita bread out, so we asked, and got some. Perfect. Pita, hummus, greens, gyro meat. Yum. There were not many sweet options. We saw dates and something candied, with cinnamon sticks floating in the syrup. Without knowing what it was, we took some. Even after a few bites, we did not know what it was, other than really good. What is it? We asked and learned it is candied sweet potato. Wow, this item was quite amazing. So why only 4 stars? Well it's a first visit, and I generally think, "If it's that good, I'll be back, and that's when I'll up the stars." Well, I'm not so sure when we'll be back, and if expectations are adjusted for just the very reasonably priced buffet ($8, on Wednesday. Weekends are higher, but I was told there are more proteins too), the delicious penne, the outstanding candied sweet potatoes, and open late, well this really was as good as it gets. Oh, our service was good too. I believe our server was Raymond (Raymond D on the receipt). Bottom line: Very good find for a late Wednesday night!

Gyro Sandwich w/ Fries

To-Go Review: They were very quick in preparing the food and the service experience picking up was smooth. I had the gyro sandwich with fries. I think it's a fair price at $10 as fries and all ingredients were fresh and tasty. I'd definitely recommend using or getting an extra Tzaziki sauce as sometimes there may not be enough. That's strictly personal preference though, so I can see why they wouldn't overload it in the first place. For the side of hummus, I think $8 is a little steep, but at least it had a homemade taste to it. Overall, it was satisfying and filling.

Great gyro sandwich. Seems to be a mom & pop establishment. I plan on going back and trying more. Pretty expensive for a lunch though, but then again, that's normal in our economy now

Authentic, savory, vibrant food; spicy and full-bodied Lebanese wine; a welcoming and modest staff; these are things possessed and celebrated by Chadra Mezza! I popped in here on a Friday eve with a simple dream of ambrosial lamb and red vino. I was not let down! I ordered the Lamb Shawarma: fabulously seasoned lamb stir-fried with onions, peppers, and tomatoes, served with a bed of delicately spiced rice. It was absolutely delightful (a little pricey at $17), and it paired gorgeously with the Lebanese Reserve wine I ordered (which I can't find listed on Chadra's online menu, otherwise I'd give you the name!). I had two glasses at $8 each because this wine was robust, drinkable, and had a lovely heat to it. I had plenty of food for leftovers, which was just as impressive the next day, although my Sutter Home Cabernet was not too fabulous comparatively! OH, by the way.. Beautiful Greek Salad with a TON of feta cheese, spicy wax peppers, fresh cucumber, crisp purple onion, plump olives, and dressing on the side - which I totally appreciate. Pre-dressed salads are usually too soggy for my taste! This is not a cheap dinner, no, but the food is awesome and the owners are so sweet. Chadra Mezza is a big celebration of family, legit cuisine, and amazing imported libations! Yesssss.

I really loved the bread & ricotta. Something always gets me about bread and cheese. The calamari was pretty good, I liked the addition of the olives, but overall it was a typical calamari dish. We also ordered the little gem salad to share. It was perfect because there were 4 gems for each of us. This was also decent. Nothing particularly memorable about this dish, but still good. We each ordered our own entree. Our friends ordered the vodka rigatoni and the lasagna bolognese. Hubby ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and I had the cacio e Pepe and added sausage. Pastas were cooked to the perfect al dente. There was so much meat in all our entrees. We each had a bite of each other's meals. I couldn't decide which one I liked best. They were all so very good and they all tasted different. I really love having foodie friends. And then we ended with dessert/after dinner drinks. Our friends got an affogato and an espresso martini. Hubby and I shared the pistachio cake. That pistachio cake is to die for. I don't want to over exaggerate because what if you decide to get it and you hate it? Well, I loved it. It wasn't too sweet and the salt flakes on top was perfection! It was so good with the affogato. 100% would get again.

As a resident on Magnolia, we're fortunate to have many great restaurants to support. Cane Rosso…read morewas no exception. My parents were in town and we decided to come here for my birthday in fact. Usually, we would have walked. Though it was pretty cold outside. There's a small lot that's right at the entrance (or back) of the restaurant. However, in the likely case that it's full, there's a spacious lot that's nearby next to the parking garage as well. Inside, we were quickly seated. Our waitress brought out our drinks promptly. We knew what we wanted so we ordered then and there as well. For appetizers, we got the Artichokes Classique. I'm not the biggest artichokes fan. I may or may not have been trying to convince my parents that I have a sophisticated adult palate and this looked like it would do the job. The artichokes were lightly fried with a crispy exterior. They retained their earthy, taste. Paired well with the slightly spicy, garlicky calabrian chile aioli. My dad got the Chicken Parm Sandwich. It was nice and meaty - solid chicken parm! What really stood out, in my opinion, was the side caesar salad. They used whole gem lettuce as opposed to romaine which I felt offered a better texture, presentation, and helped with the dressing distribution. My mom, or rather all of us, got the Chorizo y Miele which was their pizza of the month for Feburary. Without a doubt, it was one of the many highlights of this night. It's a sweet-spicy pizza with rich, salty sausage accented by an appropriate amount of habanero honey drizzle. I had never had sweety drop peppers but it was such a nice addition in terms of presentation for the month of February, texture with the slight cruchiness of the whole pepper, and flavor with the slight spice. Last but not least, the texture of the pizza was phenomenal. The crust had that nice smokey flavor - perfect base for all of the ingredients on top. Finally, I got the Truffle Carbonara. Rich. Decadent. Mindblowing. This is easily one of the top three carbonaras that I have ever had. It was so delicious. The truffle flavor is not overwhelming at all - just the right amount. Lastly, I want to comment on the stellar service. We were checked on frequently by our wonderful waitress. Additionally, since it was my birthday, we had brought a cake from a bakery to the restaurant. Not only did she offer to store the cake in the fridge, but she made sure that we had enough plates, silverware, and even a lighter for the candles. Truly made sure that the evening was special! Overall, I'm looking forward to one day coming back to Cane Rosso. From trying the unique monthly pasta and pizza specials to the wonderful service, you can't go wrong with a meal here!

Our server was a WONDERFUL young lady named Jasmine. Very attentive, almost "intuitive", but not too intrusive. Perfect service. Food: Bread was nice, in house made garlic rolls with a light pretzel salt on top. I had Chicken Parmigiana, on a bed of thin spaghetti. My wife had the Lasagna. Portions were very generous. (I'm Cajun, so a "portion" to me usually feeds two. I was full and happy.) Chicken was fresh, hot, perfect breading. Marinara sauce tasted like homemade sauce, with a perfect amount and blend of Italian herbs. I had my wife's leftover lasagna for supper. (She loved it, but there was a lot.) It was every bit as good as my entree. I'm guessing that was ground veal. Wonderful! A gentleman I assume was the owner/manager came around to personally make sure the dining experience was good.
