Greek Café is a small family owned restaurant. The food is always good and the portions are generous. I like the idea of supporting our local community. read more

My husband and I thought our visit here was good overall. The portions were very generous. My husband ordered the gyro plate, and I had the moussaka. We also started with the hummus and ended the meal with baklava for dessert. The restaurant itself is small but comfortable with a casual atmosphere. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. The staff was friendly throughout our visit. read more

"I was in town for business and had a craving for Greek food, so I looked up local options -- this place had great reviews, and now I understand why. It's the real deal, not some generic chain. I can honestly say this is some of the best Greek food I've had in years, and I travel all over the United States, including New York and New Jersey, where there are many wonderful authentic Greek restaurants. If you're looking for authentic Greek cuisine with excellent, great-tasting food, you have to check this place out!" read more

A true local gem. As someone who has been to Greece, I can say these flavors take me immediately to the Mediterranean. And the down home cooked Taverna food! We normally get the lunch combos either the gyro or the gyro salad. The value for the quality and size of the portions is on point. The meat is perfectly seasoned and crispy. Fries are insanely good. Tzatziki is fresh! Home made!! Highly recommended as a quick lunch spot but also probably good for dinner. I need to try the Mousakka! read more

My parents live in Haslet, and we come here every time I visit. The owners are so friendly, they always remember their regulars and are so welcoming. The food here is also fantastic, the gyros are hard to beat, as is the pita with hummus. I will never miss stopping by when I'm the area! read more

Everything was delicious and tasted fresh and flavorful! The woman who I assume was the owner and operator was the only one there when we went and she still made conversation with us and was so sweet with my girls. The pita was so tasty and fresh and warm. The dips were amazing. There was so much food we took nearly half home (except the baklava of course. That was finished then and there). My daughter really enjoyed the soup. We weren't sure what lemon soup was but ended up being kind of like a vegetable soup with maybe barley in it? Quite excited for the leftovers as lunch tomorrow! read more

We decided to try this place and are so glad we did! The man behind the counter (presumably the owner) was very welcoming and kind. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! The photo doesn't do it justice, this sandwich is HUUUGE! It's got the most meat on it I've seen on one, it's a mess to eat (don't attempt this while driving) but oh so good! The tzatziki and all the ingredients are super fresh, the fries are perfectly don't, a tad light on salt, but that's an easy fix. Definitely give this place a try! The family running it seems very nice and you can tell they are passionate about their business, service is fast but the product isn't compromised. read more

Looking for something fresh and light, we found this place on YELP! (Always best to eat before the Costco run!). What I couldn't believe was this place has been here 5 years, almost 250 reviews, and I still hadn't heard of it! That's a real #hiddengem right there! There was only one lady working, and I felt she might've been the owner. She cooked, she cleaned, she served, and she smiled-- A LOT! And watching her knife skills on the gyro cone was impressive! I cannot say if this is Halal or not, but there are vegan and vegetarian options here! We started with the appetizer sampler: 4 dolmas, 4 spanakopita, 3 falafel, black olives, hummus, tsaziki, and pita bread! Plenty for 2-3 to share! The gyro was mounded high with meat, and full of veggies! Highly flavored, and delicious! The pita was hot and delicious! Of course, we had to end with baklava. This redeems most of the sadness I've experienced inthe baklava world! Full of nuts, with phyllo puffed high, and tons of high flavored honey! I doubt I'll eat baklava anywhere else, ever again! Easy 5 stars for great food, and great service! read more

Consistently great and they are so super friendly. We get the gyro or the gyro plate. It's delicious with generous meat portions. The restaurant is small and not fancy. It is exactly what it seems. Again, I'm so disappointed in myself that this hidden gem is right around the corner from our home. We saw the reviews and came over for a Saturday night date. One of the things that struck us right away is how friendly the owners are. It looks like a family business and they went out of their way to help us and welcome us in. We decided on the hummus plate as an appetizer. Wow! That pita bread was so warm and fresh. Great flavor in the hummus and loved the olives. Tons of pita and didn't even finish it all when our dinner came out shortly after. We didn't wait long and loved watching them carve the fresh lamb from the rotisserie. They Gyro Plate is huge. I ate all the salad because with tastes so good. Not an ordinary side salad. This has so much in it and that dressing was awesome. Then I got to the Gyro. It's so stuffed with goodness that I had to eat some of it with a fork before I could take a bite holding the pita. We absolutely loved the Gyro. Put this place down on our regular rotation. We'll be back! read more

Went to the Greek Cafe in Alliance and their menu says $5.99 for a small Greek salad and add chicken for an additional $4.99...rang me up at $12.99 plus tax. One of my absolute favorite work day lunch spots! The restaurant is located in a busy shopping center and there is ample parking. It's not large but not tiny. There's maybe 6 booths and two tables. Every time I've gone it has been clean and the service is always great. The food is what keeps me coming back. I have noticed that prices increased since the pandemic but that's everywhere. I will say that they provide big portions. I usually order the pita lunch special. Can't go wrong with a homemade pita, fries and a drink. They also do not skimp on the sauce, which is another thing I appreciate. My dish last week was delicious. Greek cafe continues to be one of my go-to's. read more

After a three star experience it's been five years since I tried Greek Cafe again. The only reason I did is because we had several very high recommendations that did not sound like the same place we visited before. Greek Cafe exudes "hole in the wall" with its exactly-what-you-expect from a local Greek counter service place decor and furnishings. The menu is also typical, though with a noteworthy absence of shawarma. The thing we heard over and over was how large the portions were, which was the opposite of our prior experience. We ordered a falafel sandwich plate, chicken gyros plate (the first our sixth grader ever tried) and gyros plate for me. And man, talk about big portions. I can eat a lot, and this meal was highly satisfying. Falafels were not as strong as Aladdin or Stop N Go, but good. The overall flavor of the sandwich were very good though. Fries are steak-style with a pepper based seasoning that was delicious. The gyro meat was as expected, generously portioned, and with a large side salad and a side of Tzatziki that was thicker than I'm used to, but had great flavor. Sixth grader *devoured* her chicken gyros, a new convert to the robust flavor of Mediterranean food to the credit of Greek Cafe. Service was strong, though our lovely check out person, who also made the food, was a little difficult to understand during the ordering process. She was adorably concerned about not charging us too much for the great quantity of food provided. Overall very good experience, much improved over our first one. We will most definitely return! read more

This place was delicious. The location had a lot of parking and super clean. The gentleman was super nice. The pricing was reasonable and inexpensive. We ordered gyro wrap with a side salad and pita with hummus. The wait wasn't long at all, maybe 10 min. When the gentleman brought us our plates WOW! It was a lot, very generous servings. Everything tasted so authentic and fresh. We will be back for sure! Thank you for such a great meal. read more

Fantastic Gyro! I can't wait to try more of the menu here. I love when I see a menu focused on a few things because I know they will absolutely nail whatever it is they sell. The gyro plate is such a deal. Sure, food prices have gone up but the Gyro plate is a fantastic value. Very generous portions with amazing quality to go with it. If you are a light eater, you *might* be able to get away with half a gyro after the eating the salad and fries that come with it. I would recommend eating the sides first before going to the Gyro just to be safe. I could hear them making everything fresh, slicing meat, veggies, and then hearing the fries cook. Fantastic! I am so happy a place like this exists. What a treat. I will definitely be back many times. read more

I think we might have caught them on an off day. I was underwhelmed. The place is clean inside and seating is open. It was neat to see into the kitchen and the service was great. The food LOOKS delicious. The servings are HUGE. The cucumber was superrrr bitter and it was in everything. I might try again if in the neighborhood. You could easily share a meal. It was about 20/person. read more

Delicious food, friendly service, large portions! I got the chicken gyro lunch special and baklava. Both were tasty and filled me up!

My wife and I are resolved to try new places and this is one of our first. It was excellent!! Do not let the location fool you. It's a little strip mall shop, but the portions are large, the taste is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend that you give them a try if you are even remotely interested in trying Greek cuisine. We will go back. read more

The food was very good. I think the portion sizes are probably too big for most people. 2 people could easily share a meal. I would rather the price be a little lower and the portion size be correct. I would definitely go back, but would probably split a meal instead of ordering 2 separate meals. I noticed several other patrons got to-go boxes also and others throwing away lots of food. read more

Wow! Reviews are good so I thought I'd check it out. Upon entering their was confusion around the pricing as the gyro lunch special says $9.99 outside but is $11.99 once you get to the counter and look at the posted menu to order. I feel many businesses have taken COVID as a chance to increase their prices. What I can't get past is when they are not consistent with pricing on all their marketing, website, etc. I see it as either laziness or the intent to deceive and either is not OK in my opinion. With that said the gyro I bought for $8.50 was HUGE and amazing. Great tzatziki sauce that has to be homemade and tons of meat and it was HOT! The sandwich on its own was a meal and I am not a small guy. Lettuce, onion and tomato was all VERY fresh and not some bag salad. Great quick lunch but I wish they would update their pricing. I asked for a takeout menu and the gentleman said it was accurate "except for the pricing which is 7 years old". Come on man....... Great food and priced fair for what you get read more

this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. i needed to order something quick for lunch, so i called and placed my order to go. The menu prices you see online are not the same you'll pay in the store. for lunch combos, they used to be 9.99 roughly 3 months ago, but as of 3/17/22, i believe it went up a dollar to 10.99 or 11.99. i forgot how much i paid, but over the phone, they mentioned the new price, which i was glad for, so that i wouldn't be surprised when i got to the store. I ended up getting gyro lunch special and the chicken pita lunch special. Both dishes came with fries and a drink. The dishes also came with 1 small tzatziki container on the side. The best item out of the two was the beef gyro. it was decent, like how a normal gyro should taste. However, the chicken pita on the other hand was dry. I wish it was more juicy or at least marinated to give it some flavor, but it was kinda bland. the gyro/pita are really barebone... Its just the protein with some tomato/lettuce on the side. This place is located next to a ding tea in the Heritage Trace Plaza. read more
