I visited this food truck area while in Texas or the 4th of July holiday. While we had expected…read moremore of the trucks to be open we were all satisfied with La Cocina De Ada. While both taco trucks were open by crew all opted for La Cocina De Ada. There is plenty of parking and some picnic tables and chairs so you can eat there if desired, which we did. I ordered 1 birria taco and the pork pupusa (which was the cashiers favorite). The birria taco was nicely fried and the consomé was flavorful albeit a little on the sour side. The pupusa was a decent size, also nicely cooked and well filled with a crunchy cabbage slaw on the side. All in all a solid meal all for under $10. The service was friendly and relatively quick.

I wasn't a fan of the green sauce but the red sauce was good. Also tried the chicharon/cheese and asada/cheese pupusas. They were a decent size and could probably get full with just one. The pupusas were on the softer side and the flavor was solid just like the tacos. Out of the two, the pupusas was my favorite for sure. I need to go back and try the birria options they had there. Service (4/5): The lady taking the orders was nice and polite. Location: It was located in a small food truck park over in the Avondale/Haslet area a little bit off the freeway. There is some seating and other trucks there but just a few were open.

Heaters inside & campfires outside for extra warmth are a plus too. Would love to come back for the night vibes! Cocktails & shots on the menu! The explanation given that the system "couldn't handle the wind" is deeply concerning. If awnings advertised and installed for cold weather cannot be safely used in windy conditions, that is a serious operational and safety issue that should be addressed before guests are seated underneath them. Instead, customers were left exposed, freezing, and ignored. What made this worse was not the weather, but the complete lack of accountability or alternative solutions. No effort to relocate guests, no escalation to management, just repeated refusal. This reflects poor planning and even worse customer care. Management should take this seriously. I would expect someone to reach out, because this experience alone is enough to keep us and others from returning.

My daughters tried the orange chicken, chicken lomein and vegetable Lomein. They also got some egg rolls. All of the orders were very plentiful for the price point. The curry was not spicy nor did I ask for it to be and it was very flavorful. It had plenty of chicken and tons of wonderful chunks of veggies and potatoes. My daughters all said their food was "incredible" and could not wait to go back again. We will definitely be trying some more dishes in the future. The lady ringing up the orders was very polite and made sure that all of the orders were accounted for and bagged properly.

They don't dish out a bunch of random, carnival-esque, fried "what-have-yous" - which is what I originally thought this food truck might be about based on the name. The whole concept and offered menu items are actually Lao-Thai Street food focused. To order, walk up to their truck, tell them what you want, and pay. You're then given a beeper, and once the beeper beeps, your order is ready! Grab your order & enjoy! Anyways, back to the actual food if you're not a newb. My Dad and I ordered: #1 Chicken Wings w/fries $11 (5 pieces) #6 Lao Sausage w/fried rice $11 + $2 (usually comes with steamed rice, $2 upcharge for fried rice) #7 Egg Rolls $7 (4 pieces) #13 Fried Potstickers $7 (6 pieces) Everything was so fresh, not greasy, and fairly priced. Nothing was too salty or spicy, but all had balanced and subtle flavor with yummy sauces for dipping. I'm assuming this is a husband/wife duo ran business. Either way, both people are so friendly and happy to interact and serve their customers with smiling faces and warm vibes.
