Original ChopShop is one of my absolute favorite fast casual places now - I really liked their passport rewards event which gave you bonus rewards if you tried different menu items, and I did almost all of them! I forgot when it was going to end so I missed the last category sadly, but now I can confidently say they have great sandwiches, bowls and salads! I used to always get the teriyaki chicken bowl, but have since varied up my order and now the Citrus Thai salad with chicken is my go to! It's so good and filling while being light! I also love the club sandwich and the grinder is great too. My husband doesn't eat "bowls" much but I got him to try one and he really liked the Korean steak, I tried a bite as well and thought the flavor was very good and not too spicy. I looooove their rice and I really appreciate that the veggie mix includes Brussel sprouts. Their avocado toast is a great breakfast as well. I've tried smoothies/juice/parfait and all were fine but personally I just prefer to go to Nekter or Smoothie King for that stuff. The rewards program is pretty decent as well! It will take a minute for them to prep because it's fresh. On a non-busy day my food will take about 7-10 minutes. If they're busy, longer. The flavors weren't really doing anything for me and left me feeling annoyed at myself for spending money on food that wasnt particularly better than something I could've quickly whipped up at home. Starting the new year by choosing a healthier food option? This place should be on rotation. I love their bowls! It's the perfect balance of protein, chicken, and veggies. My top two favorite is the Thai coconut chicken bowl and spicy Korean bowl. The food just tastes so fresh. I do get tired of eating rice sometimes. It's nice that they have different bases to add instead, such as sweet potatoes, roasted veggies, cauliflower rice, etc. I also like to add their fresh juices with my meal. I'll admit that I don't eat enough greens, so I opted for the power green to get my fix of kale, cucumber, and celery. If you're an açaí bowl person, I would definitely get this if you're not super hungry. They do have a drive by area for pick-up orders only. If there's a Greek (or even Greek-ish) option on a menu, that's what I'm getting every time. So of course, I had to try the "Greekish" salad here (yes, that's actually what it's called). It ended up being super fresh and full of flavor...definitely something I'd order again. My husband didn't love what he got as much (Citrus Thai salad), so we haven't made it back yet, but I definitely will. Next time, I might just bring my laptop, grab that salad, and hang out for a bit. It feels like the kind of place you could actually get some work done and enjoy a chill meal. Service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the place was nice and clean. They do have outdoor seating, but I went in the middle of summer, so that wasn't happening. This place is so cute! The minute you walk in you feel refreshed. It's a little small for seating but the food is sooo good. My bowl was delicious but a little bit spicy and the worker had warned me of the spice so I can't even complain. But even despite the spiciness of the bowl (and I'm Mexican I can handle spice) the flavors were excellent!! I'm coming back again for sure. And my husband loved the sandwich he got as well. I have been waiting for this place to open since it started being built! I really enjoy fitness and missed açaí bowls after leaving CA. We came in during the soft open, but I was a little disappointed that it took almost 20 minutes for my bowl & my husband's smoothie when other people (who ordered after us) had cooked food before we had our stuff. The manager Michael wasted no time in making it right for us though. When we did get our stuff it was delicious. It is a little pricey, with the smoothie being $7, but it's all made fresh and has the calorie count listed on the menu for people counting. It also has a drive through! I think this is a great alternative to the fast food across the street that is close to the same price point.
