Atmosphere is cute, definitely nice for a date night with the ambient lighting and cute floral decor. The food was a huge win for us along with the LARGE beer glasses that come out nice and frosted (ask for the coldest glasses). We enjoyed the octopus salad, chicken kaarage, some fried fish that came on the house, super philidelphia roll, crawfish roll, softshell crab, chicken katsu don, and salmon skin handroll. Everything was really great quality and quantity. My top favorites for the night were the octopus salad, a great combonation of seaweed salad, octopus, and cucumber salad. Extremely flavorful and a great way to start the night. The chicken kaarage was beautifully battered, not too heavy and very well seasoned, pairing well with the sauce that accompanied it. The soft shell crab... was one of the best I've had in DFW! I honestly was tempted to order more because it was nicely fried (seriously a great batter) and the light sauce helped amplify the flavor of the crab. Yummmm! The salmon skin handroll was tasty and crunchy with a nice balance of flavor. I think the key is making sure you eat from the sides and have a bit of the center with each bite, since the sauce is centralized there. If not I can see it being too salty for some. Walked in at 7 PM, there was a wait, which was fine. We asked if we could sit at the sushi bar were told yes we would be served at the sushi bar. We were sat at the bar, no menus, sushi chefs never acknowleged us despite us sitting 2 feet away. They said they didn't have any menus, but they would find some. A friend recommended this place to us so we stopped in for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised with how fresh everything we got tasted. Service was great. The restaurant itself is small but tables are spaced out pretty well. I would like to try their dinner menu next time! We got so full off our lunch order that we could only fit in one other dish. I can't speak for anything outside the lunch special, but if you're able to order from the lunch special menu, definitely give it a try. They used to offer it on the weekend, but i think they recently removed that option. I've been here twice, and both times were for carry out. For carry out, you can phone in your orders or order online via their website. I really enjoy a sauce they provide. can't really explain it exactly... its like a mixture of sesame oil with ponzu and soy sauce, and it goes amazingly well with the fish. Sushi/ ramen/ Japanese dishes Sushi street as a good size menu. We tried two sushi rolls, yakisoba, and a Ramen dish, with drinks it was $70 before tip. For the namesake of sushi, I'd give it 3.5-4 stars. Not the freshest or best grade of sushi but it's fine. It's just a bit above a good grocery store sushi so pricing is ok. The ramen had a nice flavor and heat to it. Again not the best ramen spot but it was good to have a hot dish option for guest that aren't eating sushi. Pricing is slightly high for what you get ( compared to those amazing ramen spots out there) but the bulgogi meat is good which is kinda funny for a "Japanese" restaurant. The yakisoba was terrible. The beef was thick and chewy and the noodles tasted like those at home frozen sauce packs you put in a skillet. Sweet and sticky, I've never tasted yakisoba like this and I've downed my share of yaki in my day. This is 100% skip, it's not eatable. There are a variety of beverages but if you order hot tea prepare to pay $3.50 for a tea bag! The cups they serve the tea in are traditional no handle mugs that interestingly convey heat to your hands that doesn't reflect the temperature of the beverage, meaning you'll burn your fingers but the liquid isn't boiling. I'd like to see them invest in better cups and a tea kettle, even if it is just a tea bag inside. For establishment, it's a cute place. They need to move all the boxes from the bar counter and along the wall as it makes the restaurant look unorganized and cheap. Overall 3 stars for food quality at the price point and atmosphere. I might try a week day lunch special sometime but wouldn't return for weekend pricing/ menu. read more

Pretty busy for a Friday night. That's always a good sign. So we started with the Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer. I wanted to lick the plate clean. You have to try these. Incredible flavor and seasoning. We picked out three rolls: Super Philadelphia (lots of salmon), Shaggy Dog (crab, cucumber and fried shrimp) and the Rock Shrimp tempura roll (a giant crispy Shrimp on top). Every single bite was amazing. The textures from the crispy shrimp. The rock shrimp had a slight sweetness that was perfect. The salmon tasted so fresh. I give Sushi Street a solid 5 stars. Really the best place I've ever eaten at. I can tell the waitresses and chefs really care about their customers! We started our dinner with a beef meat stick. It was juicy, tender, and flavorful! It comes with two pieces on a stick. Next, we ordered the ahi tower and 15 piece sashimi of chef's choice. I loved the ahi tower. Very flavorful and delicious. The rice nearly melted in my mouth. The texture is exquisite. The sashimi was delicately plated and fresh. Afterwards, we wanted to try the rock shrimp tempura roll. I was pleasantly surprised. Most places, when you order a shrimp tempura roll it usually comes with one tail, but this one blew me away. Each one had its own WHOLE shrimp, and they actually peel off the hard shell tail. It was a perfect combination. If you eat the shrimp alone or the sushi part alone, it's not as good, but when you put them together it's so gooood. Lastly for dessert, we were thinking about getting the tempura cheesecake. You don't even need to think about it. Just get it. My very first bite of the tempura cheese cake was absolute bliss. The crunchy bits of the warm fried cheese cake, cold vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and dab of chocolate syrup was mind blowing. I wanted to cry because it was so good. It was like I was in Shokugeki food wars! Now most places when I eat a lot I feel like crap but this place just made me feel better. I cannot wait to come back and try everything else here. Ahi tower - tuna overload, i think the would taste better without the tuna chunks. Since theres already spicy tuna. Overall its good, i would order again Sushi - a bit of a fusion, the Monroe was good, baked salmon, nicely flavored. But overall quality of fish was okay.. wasn't too fresh. The other sushi i forgot name was okay, way too big. Very hard to stuff in the mouth, have to cut in 1/2 to eat. Came across some yummy looking sushi photos from here so I decided to check out their menu. They offer a wide variety of sushi rolls, sashimi and nigiri combos, hibachi, and ramen. Conveniently located in Keller which is fairly close to home, I decided to pick up dinner from here. The person that took the order on the phone was very nice and welcoming. The photo that caught my eye was the "spicy lover" from the fresh roll menu section (submitted by Tram N). I love shredded daikon radish with sashimi. The spicy lover roll consists of spicy tuna, avocado, and a sliver of jalapeño wrapped with yellowtail sashimi and drizzled with a spicy mayo. It was very good, but sadly I did not get the shredded radish with it as pictured in her photo :( One of my favorites is the baked salmon roll. Their version is the "Marilyn Monroe" under the baked roll section. It's a California roll with salmon on top then baked until it's cooked and usually topped with a sweet sauce. Theirs did not disappoint and tasted just as expected. I look forward to having that one again. Overall I enjoyed my meal. It came with miso soup, soy sauce, pickled ginger, wasabi, and extra sauces, which was not needed but nevertheless appreciated. My only concern is consistency. I was really missing the shredded radish which was one of the main reasons I stopped in. I hope that consistency won't be an ongoing issue because there are many other things I want to try. I love that they have many rice-less rolls for those carb conscious days. The fish quality was good. I look forward to dining in soon, which I was told may not be until this summer. Oh, the discount another reviewer mentioned may be discontinued as I did not receive that yesterday. Not complaining but just an FYI. And, I went inside to pick up my order. Happy eating! read more

Did you love Korean Bowl? Me too! I was bummed when they closed, but what I didn't know until I stopped in and ate at Sushi Street, same place, same people, a bit of a different menu. The food and service were perfect! So upon entering we were greeted warmly by the hostess / waitress and we actually were able to eat in. All COVID precautions were followed and we were brought ice water and menus. We ordered appetizers and numerous sushi rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. Visiting home from San Diego and decided to stop by for a quick bite to eat. Have always seen this place whenever I was home but never thought to come in until today. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and the quality! They even had my favorite sake and kizame wasabi- which tells me that this place is legit!! I am so happy this place is here! We went on a whim tonight and are full and have happy stomachs! I really appreciate that they have a variety of rolls, especially since I do not eat raw fish. I know, it's a sushi place but that's my husband's thing, not mine. They also had a variety of non seafood items for the kids to enjoy as well. I could really tell the difference in quality between this place and others, and since my husband loves sushi we have ate at our fair share of places around DFW. My husband stated this place is the second best sushi place he has had sushi at, and despite not being that hungry when we arrived kept ordering and eating. New sushi spot in Keller. Opened mid Feb and in 2 weeks I've already been twice!! I have been in Southlake & Trophy Club looking for good sushi and now a really good sushi spot right here in Keller. Location: Located on corner of Wall-Price Keller Rd & 377. It was previously the Korean Bowl and as of Feb 28 that signage was still on the building. However, when I arrived on Feb 29 they were outside working on hanging their new Sushi Street signage. Visit 1 (5 days after opening): Placed takeout order. Bossier City Roll (SR 12 on menu). Appetizer: spicy edamame. Both very good! They have regular & spicy edamame. The spicy sauce reminds me of a general tso type sauce with red pepper flakes. The spicy edamame was a treat since I'm only used to regular. It's not really hot so don't be afraid of the spicy. It's really flavorful. They forgot the wasabi & ginger. However, being open only 5 days I was probably one of their first take out orders so I won't hold that against them. Just make sure you ask if you get a takeout. Visit 2 (2 weeks after opening). Had dine-in lunch on Saturday. Lunch special runs 11-3p. Sushi rolls, bento boxes & sushi/ sashimi specials. Bento box seems to be a good value with hibachi meat of choice, 4 California roll pieces, 2 fried dumplings, salad with ginger dressing and miso soup. All main dishes come with complimentary miso soup even with a takeout order. They did not cut corners on quality with this complementary soup. We got Special Rolls: Shreveport Roll (SR 11) & Dragon Roll (SR 8). Again, both very good. Inside: Place is nice. Clean. Modest/contemporary decor. Lots of natural light. Granite 4 top tables. Other tables are high gloss wood top tables. Couple TVs. 2 individual bathrooms: 1 male / 1 female. Clean & stocked. Staff: Staff was very friendly. They greeted us upon entering as well as leaving. Went here a week ago w/my boyfriend. We both had never had sushi except for a California roll so he decided today was the day & this was the place. LOL I'm glad he pulled this place out of the hat because I never tried sushi before because I believe it could be done wrong. I was truly scared LOL. Raw fish?? I mean I don't know why, I eat rare beef so what's the difference? I ordered the angry avocado for our appetizer! It was delicious.
