Many places miss that balance, but they nailed it here. The charcuterie board was easily one of the best I have had. The mozzarella and white cheddar were perfectly portioned, fresh, and rich. The green apple slices tasted incredibly fresh, like they had just been picked from the orchards of Apple Hill in California. The honeycomb was a first for me on a board and made the experience especially memorable. The Rô on Oak describes itself as an upscale, rock-and-roll-themed cocktail lounge, and based on their website, reservations appear to be an important part of the guest experience. Because of that, I made a reservation online before our visit. When we arrived, the lounge was virtually empty, yet it still took about 10 minutes for staff to find us a table. There is one particular table that I enjoy sitting at, and when I asked about it, the manager came over and said it could have been reserved, but since it wasn't, he would "allow" us to sit there. I explained that I had intentionally made a reservation and expected that to be taken into consideration. Rather than responding professionally, the manager became loud, argumentative, and unnecessarily rude. His demeanor completely changed the atmosphere of what should have been an enjoyable evening. I always try to be respectful and polite when speaking with staff, and I certainly wasn't looking for special treatment. However, there is a difference between setting expectations and speaking to paying customers with courtesy. For a venue that positions itself as an upscale destination with premium pricing, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and hospitality. We've visited The Rô on Oak several times because we enjoy the venue, but this interaction left a very disappointing impression. Great cocktails and ambiance can only go so far when customer service falls short. I sincerely hope management reflects on how guests are treated, because no customer should feel dismissed or spoken to disrespectfully after making the effort to reserve a table and support the business. read more

Fun little spot to grab a drink and snack. Very chill atmosphere with Vegas like decor. We ordered drinks and a flat bread. We enjoyed the tomato basil flat bread, but the tomato was not roasted as per menu, instead a fresh slice on top, which we liked. It did need salt and pepper, but neither on the tables. They were out of Prosecco:( Odd, go down to the store and buy a bunch. It was Friday night and early in the evening. My only complaint was that the music didn't match the mood, vibe or relaxed atmosphere. It was too loud and not the right style. My wife and I had an excellent time at Ro On Oak. This place is an extremely welcome addition to the area. This small intimate speakeasy has a relaxing vibe that allows you to unwind from a long day and enjoy an expertly crafted cocktail, wine, or beer of your choosing. We sat at the bar and told the bartender the types of whisky and drinks I liked and asked him for his recommendations. He didn't disappoint! I had 2 unique drinks that I'll never be able to remember what they were (and that's ok b/c I'll ask for their recommendations) and they were excellent. We didn't try any food as we had planned to eat somewhere else down the street, but will definitely try something next time we're in. Check them out! read more
